Excellent service. Clean rooms, WI Fi is new and reliable. New TV's, close to downtown and freeway access, but quiet.

To start, the check-in process was far more difficult than it should have been. Despite notifying the hotel in advance (in writing, through their app) that we would be arriving early, one of our confirmed reservations was canceled. This created a cascade of inconvenience: one of our guests was left without proper accommodations for part of the stay and had to spend a significant amount of time working from the lobby. For a property operating at this level, that kind of breakdown in communication and inventory management is surprising. The front desk experience, specifically with Stephanie, was another challenge. The day before our scheduled checkout, she called asking why we were still in the room--seemingly unaware of our actual reservation dates. She called again later that same day with the same concern. While she did eventually apologize and acknowledged the mistake, the repeated interruptions had already created unnecessary friction. What was more concerning, however, was a lack of situational awareness. The same guest who had been displaced due to the reservation issue was later approached in the lobby--while dressed in business attire and actively on a call--and asked whether he was a guest of the hotel. Given the earlier issues, this came across as both disorganized and, frankly, dismissive of the inconvenience already caused. I want to be clear: these are fixable issues. With better internal communication, stronger training around guest management, and more attention to detail, this could be a very different experience. But as it stands, the front desk operations--particularly during check-in--fall short of what one would reasonably expect. For those considering a stay, I would recommend confirming all details multiple times and being prepared for some inconsistencies at arrival. And for management, this feels like a clear opportunity to invest in training and process improvements, particularly for guest-facing staff.

The morning check-in went okay: a new front-desk employee did her best, issued new keys, and said she'd marked my room as cleaned so I could be rechecked into the same room. Unfortunately the recheck-in process wasn't communicated to the rest of the staff - I had three different housekeeping attendants knock on my door at different times asking when I was checking out. That would have been salvageable, but the night shift was worse. I returned around 9:45 PM exhausted and could not get into the building or my room with the new key. The desk only had one clerk (Sheena) who was on the phone and assisting another guest; while waiting I asked if another staff member could help and she shook her head no. The first guest was apologized to, given water and an item from the store, and sent on their way - I received no apology or acknowledgement despite already having completed check-in and being a multi-week guest. I left feeling like a nuisance. I'm disappointed and frustrated. Management needs to improve communication between shifts and train front-desk staff to prioritize locked-out guests (and show basic courtesy). I won't be staying here again unless things noticeably change over the coming weekend - there are plenty of other hotel options in the area.

We arrived around 11:30pm and there was a sweet girl who easily helped us check in, and marked up a map to give us precise directions to our room. The room itself was clean and very comfortable. The shower had amazing pressure and was spacious. The bathroom came with body wash, body lotion, shampoo, and conditioner. The AC worked well but was a little loud as it periodically turned off. We grabbed a very quick breakfast the next morning at their 24/7 diner, and it was actually so beautiful inside?! I was very impressed with the decor! Even at 8am, every employee we encountered was attentive, kind, and made our experience enjoyable. My fiancé literally just got 3 scrambled eggs and coffee to tide him over so there isn't a ton to report on the meal, but he was happy! There were 4 mini water bottles waiting for us in the room, a keurig machine with pod options, an ice machine near the elevator, and a filtered water refill station! Also a vending machine for purchasing items. Only knocking off a star because.. well.. it's not a 5 star hotel haha. The AC was a little loud at night, and we were bummed there were no table games for a quick blackjack game as the website does say "The Western Village Casino is a winning environment where you can play the best in slots, table games, and more". However, I don't think I've ever found a better bang for your buck hotel in my life.

I was, I'm at casino to play with 3 family members, after I lost a couple of times, we joined up and played together, pooling our money. All I wanted was a blue moon. One girl finally was nice enough to bring me my beer, I tipped, and she explained to me what was up. Don't feel it's right. Later I asked for an AMF drink, girl doesn't tell me anything, then comes back to tell me it's 12 bucks... I understand if policy has changed or whatever, but after speaking to a manager they felt it's better to throw away the drink, instead of explaining to me what was going on. Just upset, as we come here to play, eat wings and drink, always have, but never will again. It should NOT be this hard to get a drink at a casino.

In the morning, we waited over 30 minutes while valet staff searched for another guest's lost key. Later that same evening, we ended up experiencing the exact same thing ourselves. The valet staff lost our key and it took over 20 minutes for them to locate it. They did not think to hire more staff for the busy Memorial Day weekend and the basketball/volleyball/adult softball tournaments that were going on in the area. The night before we had to leave our car halfway in the street because valet was so backed up. The guest service manager told us to leave it half away in the street. The next day the same manager blamed the desk agent for losing our key when they did the same thing in the morning when she wasn't there. Unfortunately, this caused us to be late to a magic show we were attending at Grand Sierra Resort. I understand mistakes can happen, but seeing the same issue happen multiple times in one day shows a serious lack of organization and professionalism. Valet should make the experience smoother, not create unnecessary stress and delays.

I stayed here previously and was genuinely hoping Larry was still part of the team, and I was beyond thrilled to see he is. Larry is the definition of professionalism and hospitality. He doesn't just do his job, he elevates the entire experience. He checks in on guests, makes you feel welcomed, and somehow remembers faces in a way that honestly feels like magic. With how many people come through those doors, the fact that he remembered me made this stay feel incredibly personal, like coming back to family. And then I walked into my room and found the cutest little towel puppy waiting on the bed. That moment right there, that's the kind of thoughtful, unexpected touch that turns a stay into a memory. It genuinely made me smile. The rooms are spotless. I'm very particular about cleanliness, especially bathrooms, and this one exceeded my standards. Everything was immaculate, fresh, and clearly cared for. This hotel has something special going on. It's not just clean rooms and a good location, it's the people, the attention to detail, and that feeling that you actually matter as a guest. Larry, if your leadership team is reading this, he is a standout employee and a huge reason guests come back. Please recognize the impact he's making. I will absolutely be staying here again.

Super construction going on and the parking lots are a mess, you don't know to go right or left and I got lost finding entrances even after 3 days.really dirty too. 2. The dirt doesn't stop there. Our first room we were given was so smokey I mean burning eyes smokey. There was a box fan sitting outside the room so I think they tried to air it out but it was like someone burned a cigar in there and just closed the door. 3. After going thru a room swap we were given another room. Fine but there was a dirty rag left in the bathroom counter with hairs all over it. Not a huge deal but still, come on right? 4. The late check out. Went to the front desk night before to make sure late check out was ok since we were at an event that morning. No problem they said you got until 4 with an additional fee. Great right? Nope since our room was a room that was attached to a suite they needed us out before that. Just come on again! 5. The service is just rude everywhere. I mean everyone you encounter! The Rim restaurant guy host in a suit..., I'm convinced was high as a kite. Don't believe me, go there and talk to him, holy! The security desk, rude and unhelpful. Anyone you call on the phone from the room, rude. I'm not expecting Disney customer service, but come on man! Someone teach these guys some customer service skills. So the good.... The resort is really cool. Bowling video games, nice casino, everything to spend a fun weekend. We may even come back just to do the pool and stuff to do there. To wrap it up... Lower your expectations. Your not going to get the cleanest room. Most certainly you will be treated rudely. It's a place that could be so epic but falls short due to just taking short cuts in the customer service, organization and just plain care about your whole experience factor. P.S. you will receive at least 5 text messages telling you about how great their spa is.

The room was okay--nothing special, but no major complaints. The Starbucks is always packed, which seems to be the norm here. Today, I visited the Second Street Marketplace downstairs. The young employee who assisted me had very poor customer service. He didn't acknowledge me, didn't offer a bag for the items I purchased, didn't say thank you, and seemed more interested in chatting with his coworkers than helping customers. Based on what I observed, I wasn't the only customer having issues with him. We also requested housekeeping service for our room. We were informed there would be a charge, which was fine with us. However, after the service, the room looked exactly the same. The bed was made, but that was about it. Now, let's talk about the restaurant downstairs. I ordered a steak, but they brought me chicken instead. I clearly told the waitress I wanted steak. When I pointed out the mistake, another older employee insisted that what I was served was steak. I'm pretty sure I know the difference between chicken and steak. Fortunately, Teddy stepped in, listened to my concern, apologized, and had my order corrected. That is what great customer service looks like. Even our waitress suggested that I just eat the chicken, but guests should never be told to accept something they didn't order. The casino and the room itself were good, and I enjoyed those aspects of my stay. However, many of the staff members could benefit from additional customer service training. To corporate, management, the CEO, owner, or whoever is responsible: please invest in better customer service training. Your guests deserve a better experience. #CustomerService #Management #Hospitality #GuestExperience

I understood why no staff is present and there's no front desk. They'd have complaints every night; there are two other street-side rooms. I let management know via email and they offered coffee and "breakfast" the next morning. They also offered 15% off a future stay but why. I booked direct and paid $80+ more a night than usual. How about a partial refund? What was very disappointing was no coffee in the morning for two days. I booked this hotel in part because there was a cafe downstairs. The cleaning woman, who was the only person on staff present, said the baristas just didn't show up. I got a croissant before I left and the fill-in barista, though very sweet, had no experience. They said this a few times without any prompting and I tipped them well and felt sorry they had to show up and try to figure out the espresso machine. Though it was no fault of theirs, this hotel really didn't live up to its aesthetic or basic services. I wouldn't have even written this review if management didn't have the audacity to text me twice during my workday asking for one. So, here you go, Caner. Please stop now.
