First time staying at WorldMark Reno and honestly, the outside had me a little worried at first. The building looks older and a bit dated, but once you walk inside, it's a completely different story. Everything inside feels remodeled, clean, and way nicer than expected. What really surprised me was the front desk staff. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and relaxed. I was expecting the usual timeshare sales pressure the second I checked in, but nobody bothered me about any of that the entire stay, which was a nice change. Only real downside is the parking at night. The regular spots and underground parking fill up fast, so you might end up parking out on the streets, which can feel a little sketchy late at night. Hubby & I just completed a timeshare exchange here through II. One of our best stays at a WorldMark timeshare resort. Pros: * we checked in a little past 4pm. We were warmly welcomed. * we were asked what floor we wanted. Low or high. We said quiet. We got room 803 facing the Eldorado * every day irregardless of time of day, the entire staff always had a big smile and a huge greeting. * our suite was surprisingly nice. It was roomy. It was clean. It was quiet. It was like a studio apartment. * the suite has dishwasher, microwave, small cooktop, washer & dryer. * walking distance to many casinos, the Riverwalk, various restaurants, Amtrak, etc. * game room, outdoor swimming pool, pool towels, free movies on loan. * Murphy bed which we didn't pull from the wall as there was only the two of us. Cons: * parking was very sparse. We were afraid to take our truck out at night as there weren't enough parking spaces on the ground floor or in the underground garage. * if your vehicle was more than 6'6" high your vehicle was too tall for the underground garage * paid WiFi. $49.95 for the week. I've been to Reno dozens of times and always stayed at the big hotels (GSR, Silver Legacy, Circus Circus, etc.) our family scheduled a little getaway and we ended up at WorldMark for the week. Walking distance to the famous arch, the river walk, casinos, bars, coffee houses, restaurants, etc. The surrounding area is still under construction so it's a bit isolated at night. The homeless situation is apparent but we were never bothered by anyone. The facility felt a bit dated in the lobby but the staff was inviting and personable. Free parking with security at night. We were a bit skeptical on the route to our room but as soon as we opened the door, we were pleasantly surprised! An updated mini apartment. 2 bedrooms on opposite ends with the living space in the middle. Perfect for our family! Very clean and tidy with basic kitchen utensils and dishes provided. In room washer and dryer. 2 separate bathrooms and a Murphy bed too! The unit sleeps 6, comfortably! TVs in both bedrooms and in the living space too. Movies for loan in the lobby. Fireplace too. Ok so I really like Reno and I thought this location is very central located for Downtown Reno. Walkable which is great. The rooms do get hot & the AC struggles to keep up. We kept our shades closed during the day to help keep room cool. The motel next door is no the greatest. Great small pool & hottub. Very calm and relaxing condo. All of Reno seemed laid back and relaxed. Walkable safe city and enjoyable (vs Las Vegas). Definitely worth a trip. I would recommend driving to Lake Tahoe (30-45 minutes away) and Virginia City (30mins). read more

Horrible, do NOT use this company, WorldMark Reno, they cancelled on my family less than 12 hours before check in. We had no where to go with grandkids, loss all food purchased at grocery to cook that weekend, only results was a casino for our weekend stay (3 and 1 year old kids crawling around on casino hotel room four adults and 2 kids in one room when we had a two bedroom condo with kitchen, then dealing with breakfast, lunch and dinner in busy restaurants with customers trying to enjoy themselves with screaming children. Not fair and unjust! I spent and extra $800 on restaurant food for the stay along with lost groceries thrown out. How could a company do this to us? Our reservations were paid in full two months prior to check in. The last e-mail we received asking us to call with a number that is disconnected, go figure, liars and cheats that cost us. read more

We have been WorldMark owners for over 20 years. The best time to get a single-night stay at a WorldMark is Monday thru Thursday. This location is very convenient. Close to restaurants, freeway, and casinos. Very quiet and clean room. The only problem is no free wifi and no portals to charge your phone. read more

Great location! This was our first time staying at this Worldmark location. I love that it is walking distance to almost anywhere in downtown and to the Reno Riverwalk District. We took in a musical stage show at Harrah's in a last-minute planning the Friday night we arrived. Actually, our main visit to Reno was for a concert. We had the resort shuttle drop us off at the Reno Events Center Saturday evening, this was especially convenient for us since parking would've been challenging. Although the performance ran late, past the last pick up for the day, we didn't mind the walk back to Worldmark. The weather was comfortable for a nice walk. On the way back we passed by the Reno Arch which was pretty at night! Oh, right, the resort... well, we love our Worldmark membership! The staff at these resorts are always helpful and friendly. It's our home away from home although, in this urban location, the units were a little smaller than other WorldMarks we've stayed in. Our 1 bedroom unit was just the right size for the both of us (a 1 bedroom has a capacity of up to 4 guests max). We love the fully-equipped kitchen although this location had no BBQ grill. Meh, that's okay, there were so many restaurants around nearby plus it was fun exploring new places to eat! Parking is limited on the ground floor but there are more spaces on the underground basement level which is accessible by using your card key. This property has 1 and 2 bedrooms with a full kitchen. The kitchen is generously stocked with dishes, pots/pans and utensils. There is a full size refrigerator as well. The washer and dryer are also in the unit. Most of the 2 bedrooms have a mountain view and the 1 bedroom have the city view. There are 9 floors with no rooms on the ground level. There were only three of us so the 1 bedroom was perfect for us. Although some of the common areas were closed due to the pandemic, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the cleanliness of the property and the unit. The front desk was very friendly throughout the stay. We cooked some meals in the unit and also enjoyed eating out at Riverwalk which is a 5-10 minute walk from the property. There are also BBQs pits on the second floor but we didn't use them. It was nice to get away and we are happy to have chosen WorldMark Reno. read more

Typical Worldmark style, we stayed in a two bedroom, two bathroom condo with a Murphy bed in the living room. The second bedroom has twin beds and no window, but there are glass blocks in the wall to let some light in from the living room. We stayed in room 805 and with floor to ceiling windows, we had good views of the snowcapped mountains. The layout has lots of angles and provides good privacy in the bedrooms. There are small televisions in both bedrooms and living room. The counter tops are laminate and the kitchen is quite cozy but functional. The building is 10 stories and there is parking both at street level and underground. This place is a couple of blocks away from El Dorado with Sands close by too. I'm really not understanding why there are so many high reviews for this hotel. We stayed here on a Friday and Saturday night while visiting family and friends in Reno. With our Wyndham Timeshare ownership, we were able to secure a 2-bedroom that sleeps 6 (pull out in the living room, one master bedroom, and a second bedroom with two twin beds). Here's why this place is surprisingly bad: 1) If you're a light sleeper and come here on the weekends, know that this hotel is apparently very close to where all the drunk morons go to party. We were woken up around 1am to 3am by various drunk people sounds such as: loud idiots laughing, cursing, throwing up, honking their cars for 2 minutes straight because they thought it was funny, yelling loudly and having disturbing conversations, etc. NOT peaceful. 2) The decor is straight out of the 70s. Old lighting fixtures, old couches, old appliances, old TV, old everything. This place badly needs a modern remodel. Maybe my husband and I are just spoiled by the different hotels we've stayed in? But this is just... Old. It feels old, and you can tell it's old. If you're used to the comfort and cleanliness of modern and sleek hotel rooms, you won't find it here. 3) How is the bed in the master bedroom of a 2-bedroom room in this hotel only a FULL SIZE?! We have a queen at home, and wow. This full size bed had us elbowing and kicking each other all night. There's just no room for two people in a Full. I don't think it's a lot to ask to upgrade their stupid bed to a QUEEN. What the heck?! If you're a couple staying here, beware their 2-bedroom suites. The mattress is pretty stiff/firm, and not in the nice memory foam way, BTW. It's... Not the most comfortable sleep in the world. I'll tell you that. 4) TINY. For a two-bedroom hotel, this is REALLY cramped. They must have made this place for midgets. And I'm only 5'1! If I'm this small and telling you this place is tiny, imagine what someone much larger than me would think! My husband and I stayed here with 4 other guests, and it really cramped the place up. 5) IMPORTANT: There is NO FREE WI-FI. I repeat. WI-FI COSTS MONEY. Even if you're an owner or a guest, you must pay ~$15USD just to access the internet. And forget about reception -- it's horrible in this hotel. There isn't even an Xfinity hotspot in the area to connect to. Good luck coming here with kids or guests that need wi-fi or their phones to survive, lol. Get ready for tons of complaints. Wyndham, I don't know why this place is in your timeshare lineup. It's making you look bad. :/ Finally, some pros: 1) The bathrooms are decent. There's a lot of counter space for you to put your makeup bag, toiletries, etc. The master bedroom has its own bathroom and counter area. The shower itself is meh, and the toilet is also meh. It's cramped and doesn't feel luxury or spacious at all. But at least there's a separate mirror and counter area! 2) That's it. Yay, bathrooms? I doubt we'll stay here again. I'm a light sleeper, and the drunk people alone were enough to drive me insane. The tiny bed was also not okay with me. Lesson learned. read more

This place is great for my big family of 6. The unit has two bedrooms and the beds are very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. They even called us a couple times to check if everything is doing fine in the room. The kitchen was spotless. The washer and dryer were a blast to our ski trip because we can dry up our clothings just a few times. The drive to Mt. Rose is just 30 min. We are definitely going to stay here next time (for longer). The only thing is the heating vents were too loud. We had to turn the ones in the bedrooms off and it got pretty cold at night. But we got extra beddings quickly from housekeeping. read more

My family and I book this hotel to accommodate all of us I stayed here maybe bout 10 years ago and not much have changed a little remodeling and modernizing would be nice the pros; is that it has ample room for larger families with a 2 bedroom 2bathroom basically a condo it's close to all the casinos. Cons; busy street can hear cars and people talking I could hear from the 7th floor needs updating to the hotel, parking can be a challenge. This is one of my favorite places to stay. Don't let the outside fool you. The rooms are spacious and the staff is amazing (most of the time). I did have a conversation with one staff who, although very professional, didn't have the warm and fuzzies that I get from the other staff. Every time I've been here my check in is above and beyond. What a wonderful find. Staying on the 9th floor has an excellent view of the hotels / casinos. Also an excellent way to watch the New Year's fireworks. My family and I watched it from the comfort of our room, in our pajamas by the fireplace, and was able to watch the four different shows from the four different hotels providing it that night. The room is very spacious, has a full kitchen, and big windows to see Reno. Customer service here is excellent and friendly. Their main lounge has two pool tables, air hockey, a place to relax and sit by the fire, another place to sit and relax by the big screen TV, and an arcade. There exercise room may be small but well maintained. I believe this is better than any hotel room available in Reno. The only negative part about the room is that the master bed is not as firm, sags in the middle, we wake up with a stiff lower back, and the pillows are also too soft that lacks support for your head. Other than that my family and I would definitely come back here again in the future. read more

This place was just what we were looking for. A home away from home. The space we rented was a one bedroom condo with pull out... what a neat surprise to find an additional double bed murphy in this space. All the anmenties off home and more! Very clean and just enough space we needed. Staff is tentative and shuttle service around town was available. The game and recreation space in the main lobby was very great for kids. Additional parking in lower level which was secure and safe was very ideal. We came for a convention and hated to haul our sales items to the room, so leaving them in the vehicle with a security guard watching the space made us feel at ease. I've never stayed at the Reno location...really nice size 2 bedroom with a murphy bed too....& I also got a 1 bedroom...it also has a murphy bed... both have full size kitchens in the unit...except a mini dishwasher in each unit....I think my only complaint about Reno is the thermostat...not your typical thermostat...you can't set it to just stay on...so I'm kinda' cold right now...but it's also 36 degrees outside & the entire wall of the unit is glass...so you can see the casinos on this side of the building... Reno is literally minutes away from a bunch of different casinos... The staff whenever I check in to a WMbW is always super nice...this one is no different...super nice staff....even on Christmas Day... I did my homework when I bought my timeshare...my in-laws are with Diamond & they paid twice as much as I did & their dues are 3 times more than mine... If you are considering buying a timeshare, WMbW only pays cash for what they buy...no debt...& every year 1/10th of our properties are being remodeled!!! The Worldmark at Reno Resort - the name leads you to believe that this place is a selective resort, but it's more like a glorified hotel. Overall, my experiences here have been just fine. I don't own a timeshare with them, but I have come with friends who do a couple of times. (I think that it cost us about $300 for a weekend.) The interior and décor of the overall place is nothing special. The lobby is a small area with some pamphlets suggesting things to do in the area as well as some coupons for nearby services. (My favorite was a 20% off coupon for wedding services at the Chapel of the Bells. Ha!) Just off the lobby is a sort of a rec room with an air hockey table, a couple of pool tables and some arm chairs for lounging in. There are also some DVD's you can rent (handy!) When we walked into our suite we were confronted by some sort of... smell. We complained and the front desk sent someone right up with air freshener (it only sort of helped, but soon enough the smell dissipated.) The kitchenette had a full-sized fridge, mini-dishwasher and stove/oven. They supply you with some mugs, glasses, plates and silverware, as well as numerous cooking utensils, a blender, coffeemaker and toaster. You could very well cook for your family here for a full week before needing something they haven't given you! There's a small table and 4 chairs to create a mini dining area. There were two bedrooms - one was a master with a queen or king sized bed and a private bathroom, and the other was much smaller with 2 twin beds and a shared bathroom off the living room. There was also a Murphy bed (the kind that folds down from the wall,) with a light show, (the sheets were so static-y that any movement put out a static charge, and you could see every zap that you created.) There weren't any extra pillows or blankets. :( We also had a small "living room" with a couch, arm chair, tv and stereo. We only had a few weeks left in order to use our RCI timeshare, so we decided to take a trip to Reno for spring break. Because it was last minute, finding a place was really difficult. Luckily, the WorldMark Reno had availability! I called ahead of time to see if the hotel was able to accommodate my computer run telephone that I use for work. Simone at the front desk did absolutely everything she could to try and make it possible, but in the end it wasnt because this hotel only has wifi ability. She tried, and I am blessed that she even went that far. I called a few other times and spoke with another man named Jeff. At first, I was a little put off because Jeff sounded a little condescending over the telephone. I had this image in my mind of him being a complete jerk... When we arrived at the hotel, Jeff was the man who checked us in...and I couldn't have been more wrong about him! He wasn't condescending at all...he was just a genuinely nice man who went above and beyond to make certain we were very well taken care of. Our room was wonderful. It was a one bedroom suite with a very nicely appointed kitchen, stocked with everything I needed to make our week perfect. They even had little packages of spices for me to use! The only downside was the bed. We are both larger sized people, and a queen size bed is a little on the small size. But, we made it work. Did I mention that the bed is super comfy? Well, it was...aside from rolling off due to lack of space. We really enjoyed our stay at the WorldMark. A couple key points for travelers: 1. The wifi is not free. You can either pay 15 dollars for 10 days or pay like 5 dollars a day. If you need the net, just fork over the 15 bucks. You should also know that the wifi isnt very fast. Its not really great for streaming movies on Netflix. But, dont worry because they have some pretty current DVDs you can rent downstairs in the lobby. 2. There are only 4 handicap parking spots in the lot. 3. There is underground parking available. but our SUV was a bit of a tight fit. 4. The neighborhood isn't the greatest. Some not-so-friendly looking people walked through the parking lot quite a bit. Just make sure if you are a lady, to have someone with you. 5. Taxi service is only 5 dollars to most of the downtown casinos. Parking over there was horrible and there are a ton of cops trolling around. Casinos try and pump you full of free booze to keep playing...better safe than sorry...ya know? read more

Really nice stay here weekend before Halloween. Took my mom, sister and bff here for a girls weekend. Reno was actually have a zombie stomp so that was cool to see one night. The resort is 2 short blocks away from the El Dorado (which is interconnected to Silver Legacy and CIrcus Circus), one block away from Mel's Drive-In restaurant and 3 blocks away from the River Walk restaurants and movie theater. Great location. There is plenty of parking with the one near the entrance and also an underground garage... there is a steep drive way to get into it so beware. We used the pool, it was nicely heated and felt nice in the crisp autumn air. Then we used the hot tub and at first I felt like i was boiling my skin but got used to it after a while. Staff was super friendly and the place felt secure and safe. We were placed on the 9th floor (top floor) so we had an awesome view. As usual all the rooms have a kitchen (with fill pots and pans, dishes, glassware and silverware), stacked washer/dryer, a/c, electric fireplace. It was a 2 bedroom with a murphy bed in the livingroom. There was also 2 full bathrooms. Better than expected and will definitely will stay here again! read more

Great for a weekend getaway of hitting the casinos and snow. Walking distance, about a block or two, to Eldorado and close to Sands. Very convenient for a family (especially with kids) to stay instead of a hotel room. Had full size fridge, plates, cups, stove, oven, coffee machine, small dining table and family room. It's basically your one bedroom apartment away from home. If you own a timeshare or know someone who you can use one from (like I did, thanks cuzin!), its a decent spot. Don't expect this place to be looking all lavish when you roll up to the building, cuz it's not, real talk! But once you're in, all is good with all the amenities that you need. The parking here is limited, we had 2 cars. I informed the front desk and the lady was really sweet and actually gave me another permit since there was a guest that left early that night. We have been Worldmark owners since.... 1997.. ish? and we always LOVE our timeshares. Since we've moved to Reno we have stayed at our Reno location 4 or 5 times just because. I know one time was when we were moving out of an apartment and waiting for the keys to our new home. We ended staying for 2 days and it was one of the best temporary homes we stayed in. All the other times, we just stayed for the heck of it! if it was a hot day and something was available on bonus time, we stayed so we could take our son to the pool. Actual review: 3.7/5 If I'm not mistaken, this is one of the oldest Worldmark buildings owned. This was actually a regular hotel, which is then bought and turned into a Worldmark facility and office. This is actually where we first became Worldmark members. The hotel is small compare to other hotels around the Reno strip. The parking space is limited, and the building looks outdated on the outside. They try to make the interior decor looks updated and fresh, but you can tell by the hallways, the smell, and the elevator that it was an old hotel which wasn't fancy at all to begin with. Aside from that, the staff are extremely courteous, friendly, helpful, and just very positive in every way. The rooms are small - medium in size compared to other Worldmark facilities, but still have most amenities and the family style rooms that you're accustomed to in Worldmark facilities. It is always very clean and orderly, and I never have a problem in booking a night or two in this place, no matter what season of the year. It is very conveniently located a block away from the main strip, and as far as staying a few night here, I surely have no complain. Although I heard if you stay on the lower floors, which I have since they have the double/triple rooms, you can hear music noises from the place next door. I personally didn't think I heard anything with the windows and doors closed, but maybe that's just me. read more

It is walking distance from the casinos. Sands is right across from the place and el dorado isn't to far. They have underground parking, which is good. CONS: Parking is limited. One car per unit. This building appears to be one of Worldmark's older properties. It is a single building diagonal from the Sands and 1 1/2 blocks from the El Dorado/Silver Legacy/Circus Circus complex. Furnishing are typical Worldmark which means the same dishes, basic furnishings and the regular accommodations. Parking is tight, but we never had a problem finding a space. We used the underground garage (tight turn for our Suburban clone), but no problem getting in and out. We felt the underground garage was more secure since it needed the room key for entry. There are two elevators although only one was working - not a problem - we rarely shared the elevator. It was a slight inconvenience to have to use the keycard to access the elevator from the garage and it would have been helpful if Worldmark could wire the keycard reader to automatically summon the elevator instead of keycard and then press a button, but I am nitpicking. The property appeared to be a repurposed budget hotel and it was obvious with the barbeque area, small swimming pool and dinky children's pool and spa. The spa was small, about the size one might have in one's backyard, but nice and hot, and the area was clean. The spa and children's pool were sandwiched between a cinder block wall and the driveway on two sides. Staff was generally friendly - we only encountered one person who was less. The 24 hour front desk appeared to typically be manned by a single person. The elevator was a little stinky - probably a combination of age, heat and a lack of hallway ventilation since the units have unvented kitchens, so cooking smells enter the unventilated hallways and elevator (Worldmark should install some type of hallway ventilation, if just to get the smells out). Decorations in the hallways were modest with a big garbage and recycling bin greeting everyone as they exit the elevator. Cleanliness of the unit was typical although we noticed our bare feet got dirty quickly. The murphy bed in the living area was the usual and in its own alcove a little more separated from the sofa/dining kitchen area. Worldmark might consider some vertical blinds or accordion wall between the murphy bed and the main area, as that would provide much more privacy. TV's were the usual flat panels although there was only SD programming - no HDTV. Internet was the fastest we have experienced at a Worldmark - we saw speeds over 1m. Unfortunately, Worldmark censors many websites, even more than in Communist countries. Many mainstream websites were blocked, and anything with a slight connection to P2P file sharing or downloading could not be accessed - even websites which provide no files nor adult content were blocked. At least Google was not blocked. I also note that for us (Elite level), Worldmark only allows 4 connections for free (less than other timeshares). If you have 2 phones, a computer and tablet, thats it. With 3 or 4 people in a unit, you pay more. The stove was dinky as was the dishwasher, but there were 4 burners and the dishwasher was fine for our use. Dishes were well worn - the inside surfaces of the bowls turning a strong shade of grey over the years. Worldmark uses CFL's for lighting, but as in most of the Worldmark properties we have visited, are beyond their useful life. They take a LONG time to warm up, and we ended up leaving several on all the time. You sit on your throne and by the time the room lights up, you are ready to leave. The unit we were in had the wrong door going to the commode. The light switch was behind the door, so the door had to be closed to turn on the light - another incentive to leave it on all the time. Air conditioning worked very well although somewhat loud and drafty. The master bedroom had its own zone and we ended up turning it off and just used the main air conditioner. We went after the start of the school year, so there were very few children (or working age adults), so it was little noise from other guests. However, there was noise from the adjacent train (below grade near the facility). It was just noise - no shaking or vibration, and the trains seemed to go by quickly - just a few minutes at most for each one. After a while, it became another slight annoyance. The neighborhood was kind of yucky, typical of old downtown areas, so it was comforting that the casinos were so close, and to get to them, there was a large open area covering the railroad, so no one could be lurking in the shadows since there were no shadows. It was a little unsettling that we heard sirens everyday and when we were there, a business in the area experienced an armed robbery. Then again, why am I nitpicking. The reason people come to Reno is to gamble and this was convenient to the main casinos. For a nice first class vacation, go elsewhere. read more
