The staff were so happy to answer our questions about operating a boat and about fishing the lake for trout. We rented a 14 foot aluminum boat with an outboard motor and a cover against the sun for a half day. They took the time and showed us what to do with operating the engine and it was easier than we thought. In fact, we were very comfortable in a short amount of time. We rented fishing equipment: a stocked up tackle box with two poles. Although we didn't catch anything, we had a great time fishing. The rumors are true that the winds kick up in the afternoon, so plan accordingly. We had so much fun, that we decided to come back again a couple days later. Try it. You'll love it.

Skyler was awesome and showed the boys where to catch crawdads. Also, the boat rental rates are the best in the area. We rented a flat bottom boat for $75/ day. Although we ended up getting the 4 person boat, it was so worth it. My husband and kids were able to go fishing and we had a nice time. They didn't catch anything, but that's okay. Staff were all friendly which is a big deal for me, especially when travelling to a new place. The lake itself was magical, it was perfect for our family.

I came in just after opening in the morning and it looked like the owner Mike had a busy day lined up. I explained the situation and he said to give him an hour to check it out. He called an hour later saying he fixed the issue and it was good for the trip home. It was a minor issue and quick fix but he could have told me it was tiny unicorns poking holes in the muffler and charged hundreds with me none the wiser. He charged a fair price and it got my family home safe. Nice to know there's honest business owners out there.

I went to several businesses in town and found out my tire had separated due to the heat of the desert being 109F. We found Mammoth Mobil Tire and they couldn't have been nicer.
