Indio, CA. There are a lot of chargers here at this easy to find station. It's in a mall with plenty of food choices, but none are great. Restrooms are available in the various restaurants but they are locked and you need to get the combo code. The Starbucks employees are the most accommodating for this. The pizza place has great wood fired pizza, I recommend that. Subway is Subway. By getting a bite to eat or an iced beverage you are able to enter an air conditioned space. Sitting in your car with the AC running just lengthens charging time. read more

This location is an Easy Off/ Easy On from the I-10 Freeway Jackson Street exit in Indigo. There's lots of food options nearby, since you're in a large strip mall. Texas Roadhouse, Taco Bell, Ono Hawaiian, Mickey D's, IHOP and KFC are all walkable. It's a relatively new pop-up location and is a 250kW Super Charger. Nice. read more

We like using the supercharging station on our way to Long Beach. There's a wide variety of restaurants around that's you can grab a quick snack at or there's a Winco grocery store in the parking lot. Some of the restaurants nearby are Dave's Hot Chicken, Starbucks, McDonald's, jack-in-the-Box, Subway, Panda Express and that's just to name a few. There's also a convenience store, just a few steps away from the charging station. The station is easy to access, and the charging is reasonably priced. read more

This location used to only have 8 charging stalls (up to 150 kW) with 2 where you can pull straight in which is great if you're towing something. For my most recent stop to charge my car, I saw that they had put in a temporary 72 kW charger next to those original 8. They had also added in 36 new charging stalls (up to 250 kW) in the parking lot across the way. Now there's pretty much no need to wait to get a charge or having to go to a charging station further away from the 10 freeway. My preferred place to get breakfast or a drink while the car finishes charging is either at the nearby McDonald's or Starbucks. read more

One of my favorite supercharger sites. Lots of amenities to keep you busy. From Home Depot and WinCo grocery to Starbucks and Waba Grill you'll have no trouble finding what you need while you charge. If you have a little more time to charge, don't miss Pablo's Mexican Food across the street. A nice break from the traditional coffee and burger joints. It's a little hard to find but worth it. This location in Indio is a great place to feed your hungry Tesla if you are in the area. These chargers blasted out yummy electrons at a rate of 141 kW and 495 mi/hr for us today. Our little blue rocket hungrily lapped these up. There are also many food options available in the shopping center for any hungry passengers. A high-speed charger with a huge number of food and shopping options in the same center. I visited on July 1 before the holiday weekend, and it wasn't full at all. Maybe 1/3 of stall. I chose one of the two nose-in spots and got a full high-speed charge over 200kW. There are SO many food options that I walked the whole center twice before deciding. The car was done well before I had restocked drinks, bought food, and visited the bathroom. read more

I've been here a couple times. First time, the only open charger didn't work. Second time, had to wait like 5 minutes for a charger, which was like nothing. This time, Tesla rerouted me to get an extra charge to reach my destination. It looks like they are building new superchargers, which will be nice. However, if you plan on jumping back on the freeway EB, there is a long wait at the light and all the drivers are aggressively trying to sneak into the lane at the last minute. This added and extra 15 minutes to my trip. Definitely needed more than one turn lane. I will avoid this supercharger next time. read more

Miscalculated how much change I needed to get to the Cabazon Superchargers so I topped off quickly here. It actually worked out great as both my wife and I had to use the restroom after drinking so Diet Coke at our last stop. This is a decent charger. It's far better than many of the others with NOTHING around and no restrooms. There is a large shopping center with Starbucks, fast causal restaurants (subway, Jack in the Box, Dunkin, a Poke place, and a nice breakfast place called Lala's, amongst others). Plenty of places to use the restroom, get Wifi, and feels safe to stretch the legs. Average to above average speeds. I recommend stopping here. I would say the only downside is that it is a busy charger and you might have to wait a few minutes read more

The superchargers in Indio is pretty much it if you are on your way from Palm Springs to anywhere like Coachella or East Jesus. There are 8 stalls and be prepared-for a short wait to charge. Also these are not the most powerful chargers. I am getting 77 KW at the moment and there is no one on either side of me charging. But this supercharger is located in a mall and there are lots of places to get a bite while you charge. So even if it is slow there is stuff to do. read more

The couple that runs this impeccably clean restaurant were extremely nice. The food was amazing and like the name says, uniQue. Definitely worth the walk. Hello. I did charge at Indio Supercharger in morning and afternoon on a Friday with hardly any cars at the spot. I have a Model Y and the morning session charged at about 57 kWh (against Max 72 kWh capacity at station). The afternoon session at 3:15 PM was horrible, many tesla owners were switching stations as none of them were getting a good charging speed. I was initially getting about 40 kWh, which dropped to 7 kWh at times. I also noted that there was a Model owner who was frustrated as well. The moment he disconnected his vehicle and while he was changing supercharger stall, my charge rate went as high as 80 kWh and as soon as he started charging ( a few stations away from me), my rate fell down to 40 kWh and sometimes even dipping to 7 kWh. This location is very unreliable and Tesla must do something about it. read more

Convenient supercharger because of the surrounding stores(McDonald's and Starbucks) but with one HUGE CAVEAT. Every time a car plugs in the charger gets reset to 0. So charging stops completely then ramps back up. Very annoying. I'm in stall 3A. read more

Yes I tried re-connecting for 10 minutes then drove to Palm Springs, way off freeway. Got Juice. Of course Tesla phone support is closed on Labor Day. Indio locals were complaining this site just gets worse and worse. Site overloaded? Cables overheated? What gives? Unmaintained? The chargers here are consistently slow. There are times that I get 60 miles per hour when battery is low. I can't go do something for 2 hours during a road trip. I wish Tesla would do something about this as it is one of the popular charging locations. read more
