As I work my way through the menu I have been so surprised by all their tasty alternatives to coffee. I have enjoyed each suggestion that I have tried whether it is hot or cold. I always ask to try something new and they suggest something based on my daily needs. So fun to discover they have so many choices. Love the milk teas and the citrus instead of cream. Occasionally I stop on my walk for a bagel & cream cheese. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Great place to hang out and get a different kind of buzz. We found this place on Yelp and decided to stop by and what the selection of loose leaf teas looked like. To our surprise, this delightful little tea shop had a wide range of loose leaf teas, many of which are organic. The proprietor is not only very friendly and super helpful, she also is very knowledgeable about all things tea. After asking what types of tea I like, I was pointed to some great choices. I decided to give one of her recommendations a try and purchased a few ounces to take home. I was gifted with a few samples without asking, and can't wait to try them. The Nepalese Everest black tea I purchased is delicious. There is also a charming adjacent tea room where one can enjoy a cup of the premises. I will be back! read more

3.5/4. Helpful, friendly staff, and the iced maté tea was good, but I was upset to find out after the fact that was charged more for using a credit card, by a couple bucks. I was not told about this when I was asked how I was paying, nor is there any signage by the cashier about it. Had I known, I could have paid cash. It's a huge pet peeve of mine that a lot of businesses don't disclose this. So i hope this serves to inform both the public and the management/owner. read more

This isn't the same place as it was a few years ago. Be careful here and watch out for Kenny! I used to come to this shop a few years ago and went back to see what I had been missing out on. It seems like it has gone down hill and I've been dodging a bullet not coming here. There must be new management. I went in here with my daughter a few days ago and the employee at the front desk was on his phone for almost a minute before he addressed me standing there. Within moments I observed him staring down my daughter multiple times. I thought okay, maybe this isn't ill intented, how wrong I was. While I was taking a peek at the zen room to see if anything had changed I overheard him asking my daughter something I did not hear and then asking for her number right after. My daughter is underage and I would believe that to be clear but clearly this OBVIOUSLY adult man did not think so. I was so close to losing it on him but I kept my temper as I know my anger would be better put here. Beside the personal problem I had here I always remembered this place to have a calm environment and Kenny was blasting music and not only that he took almost 20 minutes just to make a simple piece of avocado toast. I could have made that myself in 2-4 minutes. Maybe I'll check this place out again one day but I am not coming back here any time soon. read more

Cali Rosina is definitely a gift to downtown La Quinta! I'm always on the hunt to look for a new drink - tea spot and my mom had been swearing up and down for months how amazing this spot is. I finally got a chance to try it and she was 100% right, this place rocks! Cali Rosa has a huge assortment of speciality teas and chocolates. I also saw they have a small food menu too. My review is strictly for their teas. The menu is impressive and it's really hard to narrow down your choice as everything looked and sounded amazing. I'm a butterfly pea tea gal and when I saw they had this on their menu as an Arnold Palmer type drink I knew I had to get it! It's called the Poolside Palmer for future reference. The drink not only was delicious but beautiful as well (see my picture of the purple iced tea). This drink will definitely be a new staple of mine, so good. They have plenty of other amazing looking hot or cold teas and some whipped/ice blended drinks. I think their matcha ones are next on my list. The service here was 10/10 A+. Everyone was super friendly and kind. They also had a mad rush when we got here and I was super impressed with how fast they could crank out the drinks! Amazing staff here and I definitely want to support local. My moms gotten to know the owners and hearing their story I definitely want to keep coming back to support. They have quality beverages & the atmosphere is just so relaxing but cute too. Really awesome shop, I never knew about it until the other day when I needed some quality loose leaf teas. The owner, I believe...so kind, welcoming, engaging. I went in right before they closed and even offered to make me some tea. She said they recently celebrated the shop's (5?) year anniversary. They're going to be remodeling soon. The objects on the shelves, plants, people really give that place a warm vibe. Ohhh and did I mention the quality import chocolates? Rare finds. The cutest tea and chocolate shop I've seen in the desert! I'm not much of a coffee drinker so when I find a place that does quality imports of loose leaf teas i'm 100% a fan. They have great drink combos, or you can just ask for hot water and a tea of your choice. They also have milk alternative options and food options! The cali whip is delightful and light paired with fruit - but I got it in a toast format. Their toasts are of ample size and worth the price! I ended up getting a tea latte, a few chocolates, and a toast and wasn't disappointed. I've come back multiple times and have been greeted by such friendly staff each time! Cali Rosina is such a sweet surprise in an otherwise chain-driven town like La Quinta. Female-owned, incredible selection, and a side of tea'ology when you step inside. I am a tea lover and get giddy when I discover a new high-end tea shop to try out. I decided to sample some of their more creative tea lattes - the Dark Rose, which is a delicious combo of rosey black tea & creamy macadamia milk; and the Misty Grey, a subtly vanilla-spiked black tea with milk. Both were superb! I craved drinking those hot teas even when the temperatures outside rose to over 100 degrees. The owner is very knowledgeable and obviously passionate about her incredible curated collection. She's very friendly & quick to offer samples as well as interesting details on each of her teas. Taken back by the poor direction this establishment seems to be headed in. Each time I visit the prices have been increased with less and less Staff to justify. My most recent visit I experienced no employee in sight when I walked in, eventually hearing rustling from behind thier makeshift curtain for the kitchen. A few minutes went by and I finally got a "Hi, be right with you" from the back. 5 more minutes went by, still no one was with me. The place was quiet, no other Customers around. This spot is amazing!!! I am visiting from out of town and they are 5-stars across the board: Drinks- the most delicious iced matcha latte with their homemade coconut cream. It is called their "coconut in the grass" and one of the best treats I've had in a long time! Food- their avocado toast is divine! It is on the most incredible sourdough and is so full of avocado it is so worth it. Service- they are very knowledgeable about the products they offer and can find something just right for you! They are so kind and welcoming too which makes it such a pleasurable experience in general. Ambiance - it's a lovely little shop that is well curated and full of great quality chocolate and tea products.
