Safe and accessible charging stations. Needed to charge on a Saturday (rainy weather), unfortunately my Tesla map kept showing the pin point as the Hyatt parking structure. Had to use google maps to check exactly where to go. This is the parking structure next to the park! Entrance on N Museum Drive. Go slow so you don't miss the entrance since it's kind of hard to tell if you are a bit of a rush. Keep driving all the way down to the bottom level and where you see level 5 and Tesla signage's, they're on your left! Lots of chargers with some trash cans to help clean your car. And it's 24hours. Didn't pay to get in, I was afraid I'd have to pay to park and charge despite not needing to park there for exiting at all... read more

This place was neat because while at first glance it looks like a simple parking garage with Tesla Superchargers way in the back, if you walk around a little bit while there, you wind up with a ton of photo ops with cute little statues and landmarks scattered about. The first one we noticed was a huge Marilyn Monroe in her famous dress-holding pose. There was also a giraffe somewhere in there (not in the Marilyn Monroe statue, but elsewhere nearby)! Located in the basement of the public parking structure. We've been here a couple of times. Not the worst. Quick elevator ride up to the main street in downtown Palm Springs. Only downfall is by the time you get plugged in and upstairs, there's not a lot you can do before you have to be back at your car before being charged idle time. A very convenient location in the parking garage but also surrounded by homeless people lingering around. They have two sets of 250 kW chargers and another set of 75 kW chargers around the corner. For some reason I can be the only car they're charging with a low state of charge and my car will charge very slow. Other times I'll park in the exact same spot and my car will be ripping at 250 kW! Another thing I've noticed is that there are banks of three spots to park in and a lot of people will park in the middle making it difficult to park next to them. Most I've noticed have been new Tesla owners. Also be aware of when you back into a spot next to one of the concrete pillars as you might not be able to open your drivers side door and get out of the car to plug in the cable. read more

Dinging one star for being hard to find. Tesla needs to add notes on the dashboard map. The chargers are one level down from street level. When you see the green non-Tesla stations on N Museum Dr, drive in and go down. If you happen to go in through the S Palm Canyon Dr entrance, you will first run into the old 72 Urban Superchargers. Just keep driving around the corner and you will find the faster V3 250 kW stalls. read more

This is pretty much the only Supercharging station you will find in the Palm Springs area. When I went, it was pretty packed and I had to wait for about 30 minutes for my turn to charge. There were two stations that was out of order, so that made it even worse. Some drivers had trouble figuring out where the waiting line began and they pulled in at the stations that were out of order... even when they saw a line of Teslas waiting. (Shame on them!!) The charge time was slow, since it was at full capacity. Oh well, nothing anyone can do there. Overall, I am glad this Supercharging station was there. Went on a 25 minute wild goose chase to find these chargers. The first one I tried was broken. Other than that the chargers were as expected. Chargers are on the lower level of the parking garage on N museum. Google maps takes you to the back of the art museum and Apple Maps takes you to the parking lot by blaze pizza. read more

Finally, a supercharger located in Palm Springs. Not that it's easy to find. It's located on level six in the parking structure across from the museum on Museum Drive. There are 11 urban chargers. I don't think many people know about this site yet since I am the only one here on a Monday morning. To access the local shops and eateries, you have to take the stairs or elevator which is located across the Lot. While it seems you're driving forever to get down to level six, you are really only one flight down, so not hard to get out of the parking structure. And far more convenient than having to drive all the way to Cabazon to get extra fuel (not a lot of destination chargers available in Palm Springs proper). read more

It would be really helpful if the garage had a sign that said the Tesla chargers were downstairs in the bottom level. We of course didn't know that and were confused as to why it said there were super chargers there until I finally went back and looked at pics and saw it looked like they were underground. We clearly were not the only ones as there were two Tesla's parked at the EV chargers upstairs with people trying to figure out setting up to charge at those until I rolled my window down to tell them the super chargers were downstairs. Additionally it wouldn't charge past 80% as it said due to them being busy charging was limited. There were plenty of chargers free as we were there early morning on a Sunday and had to drive back to Ventura so we really needed to charge up so that was annoying they wouldn't let us charge up. We did try to raise back up but it cut off. As far as location it's great as there is a ton to do downtown while you wait but most of it was closed beyond Starbucks since we were there so early. read more

I'm giving this 3-stars because it's pretty difficult to find. On the GPS it shows that its across the street from where it actually is. It's actually located inside the parking garage on the bottom floor. There is not signage until you drive to the bottom and even then the signs are so small you could easily miss them. However, it is centrally located so you could easily charge your car and walk around for a bit until it's done. My suggestion would be to add bigger signs and at least one sign outside of the parking garage, so people aren't driving around with low battery like we were. read more

Our Tesla directed us to this charger and had us get off the freeway thinking it was going to be a easy to find and quick spot. We drove around for 20 minutes trying to find the location of the chargers and once we did find them, it was incredibly packed. The location on the map is incorrect and is actually located in the parking garage on the bottom left side across from the Marilyn Monroe museum. Once there, there weren't any issues with the chargers themselves, but getting there is such a hassle. I'd rather just go to one of the chargers closer to the freeway and wait until a spot opens up over driving to Palm Springs' charger. read more

This charging station it's in the parking lot on the lower level. There are actually two separate groups of charging stations. As you drive towards the far end of the parking lot you'll pass a row of tesla charging station on your left-hand side and then continue and they'll be another set of chargers further back in the parking lot. read more

Go down stairs in the parking structure after the bend before the museum to find the Tesla chargers. There are 10-11 stalls here. Nice covered parking and walkable to several restaurants. This charger is a slower charger (64-75kw) but nice out of the sun and close to restaurants. Not close to fast food. read more

Busy location but I had no problem getting a spot on a mid day summertime Sunday. Easy in and out in 20 minutes with plenty of free parking after your charge is complete. Just be sure to go to lower level! Right in center of town for lots of restaurants close by. read more
