And though I'm sometimes overly generous with my ratings, I can honestly say Dru is the best server I've had, ever. She should run the joint! I wish I could give her a raise. We also enjoyed dinner at Mikado Japanese Steakhouse, where the hibachi experience was both entertaining and delicious. The rooms are a bit underwhelming compared to the rest of the property, but the overall experience more than makes up for it. The pools, grounds, and amenities make this a great place to spend a long weekend. I'd definitely recommend staying here--just be prepared if you're visiting in the summer. The 104-degree desert heat is no joke, so plan on spending plenty of time in the pool and staying hydrated!

They seem to be dog friendly which is unusual for most open markets. SELECTION: all kinds of things from fruits and vegetables to handmade crafts. Lots of vendor food as well as local restaurants to choose from Tamales are great. OVERALL VALUE: while it is fun, it is really expensive for fresh produce. Not sure why that is but we just look around and seldom purchase anything as most of it seems overpriced. TIP: Get there when it opens, parking is easier and lines at the popular booths are shorter.

We even happened to be there during their one-year anniversary celebration, when they had festive decorations throughout the restaurant and were handing out complimentary brownies, which was such a fun touch. The only thing worth mentioning - and this is completely outside the restaurant's control - is that they aren't able to serve espresso drinks because there's a Starbucks in the shopping center. They have cold brew and plenty of other delicious drinks. I order the chai latte every time because it was that good - I only wish it came in a larger size! If you're craving an espresso-based drink, grab one from Starbucks beforehand, and Beautiful Day is perfectly happy for you to bring it inside. Overall, I can't recommend Beautiful Day enough. I got the hot honey chicken sandwich with a potato bun, it was a sizable piece of chicken perfectly fried with delicious sauce and crispy lettuce. My husband got the breakfast hash and added sausage. He was a HUGE fan of the coveted 'Mami' sauce. I also got an oj mimosa with our brunch, which hit the spot. We both really enjoyed our meals, and as an added benefit, it's all made with good clean ingredients so you feel good after eating as well. This is definitely our new go to brunch place whenever we're in the area.
