The Hotel Paradox was part of a family road trip driving down to pick up the kiddo from college…read more It's so close to downtown - that alone makes it worth it. The vibe is beach/forest ease and everything was a breeze from check in on. Had a room with a fire pit /terrace in the front but the fire pit didn't work for very long which is why I docked a star. The pool area was lovely - we got our drinks fast and there was a nice mix of families, couples and individuals. We were there midweek so it wasn't too loud. My partner and I appreciated the coffee bar which is a step up from most hotel coffee. The beds were comfy - the room was nice. It was my first time here but it won't be my last.

All Bonvoy members, Marriott is gaslighting you with this property. It is considered an "Autograph…read moreCollection" hotel. For context, the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas is an Autograph hotel. This hotel checks all the boxes for an autograph hotel, restaurant and bar, pool, and gym. However, you can get a better room at Motel 6. The rooms are "lipstick on a pig". Bathrooms are old and plumbing has not been updated. The bathrooms have so much moisture that there is mold, yellow walls, and peeling paint and wallpaper. Calling the rooms small is an understatement, you cannot have your luggage in the room and walk throughout the room. On top of this the TV didn't work. Parking is $30 a night. I'm sure when Marriott blessed it with the "Autograph Collection" the hotel was fine, but there has not been upkeep to maintain the Autograph status.

I have always got great service from Becks Shoes store at Capitola mall location. Since it has been…read morea few years, I did not know that the Store moved to a new location. Becks Shoes 4105 Portola Drive Santa Cruz. The new location is great and accessible from 41st avenue and is in the corner of 41 st Ave and Portola Drive. There is parking in the back and the front of the store is off of Portola Drive. Addison the sales clerk is very knowledgeable and very easy to work with. Not a pushy salesman! He provided his knowledge and patience and helped me select the appropriate superfeet orthotics for my feet to give me comfort and stability to my tennis shoes! He also suggested a certain type of tennis shoe that can provide stability for pronation and supination. He did not push me in buying these new stability tennis shoes. But he actually found some good superfeet insoles for my condition and and stability and comfort for my existing tennis shoes. In the future I will look into buying new tennis shoes that he recommended that I can fit my new superfeet orthotics and provide more stability and comfort! I greatly appreciate his help and easygoing manner and would recommend you stop by the new Becks Shoes store at the above mentioned location. Thank you, Alberto Barba

I'm here from out of town. This mall has so much potential…read more I felt kind of sad walking through seeing how many empty stores were around and how many stores look like they're holding on by thread If this was my town, I would definitely want to pull community together to get it going. We walked in here to find food. Unfortunately, the food court only had five different places only two to choose from for food. Unfortunately, the Ramen place was a no go for us. The Taqueria Gabrielle was super good and they do a great job at how much food they put together in their food and prices are well meaning french fries meat, etc. The service was really great at the Taqueria Gabriel they do have a coffee shop here called the daily grind coffee I have to say my favorite place to see here was the bookstore. If you love books definitely drop by. It is huge. It is so nice. You could get lost in there. I really hope the community comes together and makes this place a great place that it can be for all the teenagers and young parents to come and bring their kids and go shopping . Don't forget to check out the thrift store if you're around as well ! Lots of parking and they have tons of bus stops so you're able to come with public transportation and or have plenty of places to park

EV Charger Expert proposed installing a smart plug that would monitor demand, and should demand overtax the existing service, throttle back demand from the car charger. That cost $1550 plus a $600 smart plug. The work was done quickly and it worked for Night One. I'm happy.

Worked with "EVCharger Expert" to install a 240V outlet for an EV charger in my garage and a…read morededicated 20A outlet for an over-the-range microwave. Overall, the job was completed successfully, passed inspection, and avoided a costly panel upgrade. But there were also a few areas where the process could have been handled more proactively. What I appreciated: * Technical expertise & cost savings: My service panel is limited (90A), and other contractors immediately suggested an expensive underground service upgrade. Kirill performed load calculation and recommended using an Emporia Pro charger with dynamic load management. That solution allowed me to safely add both the EV charging outlet and the microwave circuit without upgrading the service panel. * Permits & documentation: They provided the required licensing, insurance documentation and handled the city permitting and inspection process. The final inspection passed without issue. * Responsiveness: Communication was generally clear via email regarding quotes, scheduling, and permit updates. Where I believe the process could improve: We encountered a major obstacle when it was discovered that the crawl space was blocked by a concrete foundation wall, preventing wire routing as originally planned. Initially, there wasn't a clear alternative proposed. I ended up suggesting routing the wiring through the ceiling instead. While the team evaluated and successfully implemented that solution, I would have preferred if alternative routing strategies had been proactively identified earlier in the process. I also want to acknowledge Erin's craftsmanship. When we ultimately routed the wiring through the ceiling, he carefully navigated around existing plumbing lines and made precise cuts to minimize disruption. The finish work was clean and well executed. In the end, the installation works well, passed inspection, and achieved the primary goal of adding EV charging without a major panel upgrade. I would recommend them for homeowners with limited electrical capacity, especially if dynamic load management is needed.
