Visited Tesla Encinitas a couple of times at the end of June and beginning of July 2026. The first time was more for research and the second time was to place an order. Both times we were helped by Danny Nguyen. Even though I knew a lot about Tesla vehicles, I still had many questions about the specs, financing, ordering process, incentives, referrals, etc. Danny was very patient, professional, knowledgeable, transparent, and accommodating. He was especially helpful explaining various scenarios that would be best for my specific situation and needs. Danny was also very good with communications. Communication is key to me. Each time I texted him, he would reply in a timely manner and explained everything clearly. More than anything, Danny is a very genuine and honest person, who makes the entire experience very productive and enjoyable. I recently ran into Danny again at a festival where he was working a Tesla booth. It was a very pleasant surprise see him and the Tesla Encinitas Team again. Every chance I get, I tell my friends and family about my awesome experience. I would highly recommend Danny and Tesla Encinitas to anyone who is looking for a Tesla. read more

I had a service appointment at the Tesla Service Center in Encinitas, California today at 12:00 PM for a tire balancing on my vehicle. I arrived on time, dropped my vehicle off at the designated check-in point, and completed the drop-off process through the Tesla app as instructed. I also received a notification through the app stating that my vehicle would be ready for pickup at 1:30 PM. However, at 1:30 PM my vehicle was still sitting at the check-in point exactly where I had left it, completely untouched. During this time I observed that many vehicles that arrived after mine were moved from check-in into the service area, yet my vehicle was never attended to. As a result, I spent approximately 1.5 hours waiting for a scheduled appointment, and the service was never performed. read more

Title: Masterclass in Service: Turned a High-Stress Morning into a 10-Minute Win Saturday mornings don't always go to plan, and needing an urgent 12V battery replacement on short notice can easily derail a day. The team at Encinitas Tesla--and specifically the technician who assisted me--turned a high-stress, turbulent morning into one of the smoothest, most impressive service experiences I've ever had. From the moment I walked in, the communication and teamwork were seamless. Within two minutes, his colleague retrieved the battery, and instead of taking the vehicle into the back bay, the tech walked out with me directly to the check-in lane. He replaced the battery on the spot in 5 to 10 minutes flat, walking me step-by-step through the replacement process so I felt empowered and educated for the future. Beyond his sharp technical knowledge, what truly stood out was his intuition, genuine warmth, and effortless ability to connect on a personal level. You rarely find someone who combines high-level competence, hands-on teaching, and authentic customer care so naturally. I was signed out and back on the road in minutes flat. Absolutely stellar work--Encinitas Tesla has a real asset on their team. read more

Brenda was amazing! She took the time to explain features I didn't understand and explored some of the features I didn't know about to make sure I really understood my Tesla. Her attitude was fantastic- she didn't try to sell me on additions she just wanted me to truly enjoy my car. read more

Initially, after buying our new car, I was disappointed with my customer experience with Tesla, but they more than made up for it after. The manager laura, bent over backwards to make sure that me and my wife were happy with our car and the service needed. I can't thank her enough for making my wife's Christmas special and for her continuous communication and follow up. I'm excited about working with the local Tesla dealership and service center. read more

5 star service! The warning message appeared on our beloved 2021 Model Y saying the low voltage battery was about to join the other side so hubby met me at the service center figuring that we'd probably need to drop the car off overnight since it was already about 430pm. Voila! Erik had us taken care of and out of there in 20 minutes tops. He even topped off the washer fluid and replaced some missing license plate screws. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! read more

Horrible experience. Very very nice service department. But beware, my Tesla came back with valuable items missing. You been warned.

I'm so grateful to have Tesla service in Encinitas. I had an unfortunate incident earlier today where I clipped a trash can with my side mirror and the mirror hit the glass window and it broke. They fixed my little misfortune the same day. And I actually watched on the app as they replaced my side window and passenger mirror and knew the exact second it was done. Paid online and picked it up from the Tesla charger they plugged it into. ***** five stars! Highly recommend. read more

im having to bring my vehicle in for the 3rd time for the same issue that they cannot fix. Leigh the manager refuses to provide a loaner and says it'll be done in 2 hrs. wait time changed from 2 to 3 hrs and still no loaner. I explained that I'm a mobile health care provider and cannot lose more hrs over an issue that should have been resolved 3 tries ago. you'd think they would be nicer about it.. It's just a door strap They can't somehow figure out. The lack of simple customer care astounding. horrible experience. Would not recommend read more

Nothing but 100%, amazing customer service. We were humbled by the true professionalism of this establishment. We will be back for our next Tesla's soon, what I couldn't understand is how courteous and helpful the staff treated our entire experience. Laura, and Raj made it feel like family, and with Tesla we felt home. read more

I recently had an unfortunate experience at the Tesla dealership in Encinitas, CA, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts since I wish I knew what I was getting into. (I only see a service option for this location so am posting here). I went to Carlsbad and learned I needed to go to Encintas for a used vehicle. I was advised to reach out to Raj at the Encinitas branch. Raj was kind and patient during the one encounter I met him. However, when I asked Raj for a business card for future follow-ups since I ordered a car, he informed me he didn't have any and just to call them. This lack of professionalism was disappointing. After about a week and a half of waiting for my vehicle to arrive, I found the communication from Tesla to be frustrating. Their customer service routes calls to random locations, making it impossible to speak directly to the person assisting with my order. I live in Borrego Springs, and after inquiring about the pickup date, I received an email response stating the car would be ready on the 21st. However, I was informed last minute that the pickup had been pushed to the 25th by Sebastian.(He never even said he was at the Encinitas dealership). Even more frustrating was the lack of notification about pickup times, as I had to check the app myself to find out that my vehicle was ready. Neither dates were ever posted in the app as I was told I will be getting updates. Laura, who is apparently their manager (wore these tin foil looking slippers) is the one who I went to pick up the car with. It was a rushed experience where she setup my phone as the key, then left me with little guidance and said "let me know if you have any questions, I'll be inside." (It was not busy on a Monday at 3:45PM). (Side note: When I took my daughter to buy a car at Toyota in Carlsbad, they were offering to take pictures and made us feel like a valued customer!) . I went inside and asked about the adapter that Raj said used cars come with. He said no charging cable , just an adapter or whatever the previous seller left behind and we'll see when it's shipped to us and know better. Laura said it should be in the trunk or the glovebox. She didn't offer to show us how to open either which is different than a normal car. We took the car back home which is over a two hour drive. Tesla never asked if we had any questions on using the car or how to charge or any first time EV type of support. It was a by Felicia type of encounter. After a two-hour drive home, I discovered that there was no charging adapter in the car. I emailed and was told to go pick one up from them. (no apology or offer to mail overnight for the inconvenience on her lack of attention to detail). Living in an area without a Tesla supercharger made this a significant inconvenience. The following day, I had to supercharge at a distant location, which was a stressful experience, especially without air conditioning driving out of the desert with my toddler. I then needed to go back to the dealership to purchase a charging cable. I found that my Long Range Model Y only had a range of 180 miles, far below the advertised 326 miles. When I brought this concern to Laura's attention, she dismissed it, blaming my driving style without offering any solutions. It was disheartening to feel like my concerns were not taken seriously. On Sunday, my dad went in to help me and had to defend that I'm not a street racer with "heavy foot" but a teacher, parent of three with two young children. We asked for options to sell my car back to Tesla or see if we had any options since we never got to testdrive the purchased vehicle. Laura said we had no options whatsoever despite being unsatisfied. She said the service department would remotely inspect the battery and check on the range that was "already inspected" days ago when the vehicle arrived and give me a follow up call. That didnt even happen. She just tried to make me feel like an idiot by being so dismissive. So I drove two hours to find there was no adapter to charge my vehicle. The closest supercharger is about 60 miles away. The following day I had to supercharge and drive with no a/c and was anxious the whole time until I made it. I drove to pick up the adapter. The car charged like 2% an hour with the chargers in our town. So, I went back the next day to buy a charging cable from the service department. In summary, this experience has been frustrating, stressful and disappointing. I drove to Tesla three days not counting the day I picked it up over 70 miles each way. The lack of empathy, poor communication, and inadequate support make it clear that I cannot recommend this dealership. If you're considering a Tesla, especially in a warmer climate and far from superchargers, I suggest looking at another vehicle. I wish someone was more transparent and helpful in selling it back. If you insist on a Tesla, don't go to Encinitas. read more

I went to the Tesla service department located at 1302 Encinitas Blvd. in Encinitas, California. The appointment was to have my windshield and top glass replaced, that was at 11:00am on February 14. I was initially told by a service advisor and it was in the app; that it would be completed by 5:15pm that day. I waited at the service service until I received a call at 3:25pm that it would be completed the next day and a loaner vehicle would be given to me. The next day I was told it wouldn't be completed until the third day, Friday. I picked up my vehicle, inspected it and drove home. I noticed a lot of wind coming from the windshield and top glass. The glass was not sealed properly, which is a hazard. So, now I have to come back to have the seal inspected and corrected. I live in Riverside County, 1 1/2 hours away. read more

Customer service is horrible. My boyfriend bought a car there about two weeks ago, the sales representative was dressed unprofessional. She rushed my boyfriend and didn't help him get familiar with the car. Since driving out of the lot the camera on the car isn't working and a couples days after it was due for a tire rotation. They obviously don't inspect their cars. Stay clear of this place. read more
