I told him that I liked the vehicle and was prepared to purchase it, but I had one condition: the chip in the clear coat on the hood needed to be repaired. I specifically pointed it out to Mike, and he looked at it, touched it, and assured me, "We can fix that." I asked him multiple times whether he was certain it could be repaired and whether it could be included in the contract. He repeatedly confirmed that it would be fixed. I overlooked several other issues with the vehicle, including additional paint chips, torn leather, peeling areas on the steering wheel and buttons, and the fact that the car was extremely dirty. I was also told that the vehicle would be detailed. Despite these other issues, my only real ask was the specific chip on the hood, and I made that clear. I confirmed with both Mike and the sales manager Ellen that this particular chip would be repaired. Because we live approximately two hours away, we took a day off work and were instructed to bring the vehicle back on August 24, when the person who repairs paint chips would supposedly be there. However, that appointment was never actually scheduled. We therefore had to take another day off work and return on August 25. After waiting approximately 4.5 hours for the cleaning to be completed (yet the car was not entirely clean it was still dirty after) We were then told that the person responsible for repairing the chip had already left and that we would need to return yet again. I returned alone after another two-hour drive and confirmed the appointment for 12pm the day before. Then, at 11:48 a.m.--less than 15 minutes before I arrived--Mike texted me informing me that the person who repairs the chips was not there. I waited until I was told the repair had supposedly been completed, only to discover that the chip I had specifically pointed out from the beginning was still there. Mike then told me that they had repaired a different, much smaller chip nearby instead. After all the time, travel, missed work, and repeated assurances that the specific chip would be repaired, I am extremely frustrated and disappointed. I was very clear from the beginning that repairing that particular chip on the hood was my only condition for purchasing the vehicle. I relied on Mike's repeated assurances that it would be taken care of, and I made multiple trips based on that promise. Instead, the issue I specifically identified before purchasing the vehicle remains unresolved.

On Wednesday, we received a message recommending new brakes and telling us the car would be ready around 1 PM. We declined the brake service because the price was high, which we expected from a dealership and wasn't a big deal. What was a problem was that after declining the service, nobody confirmed whether the car would still be ready at 1 PM. We called repeatedly and couldn't get anyone to answer. Since we couldn't get confirmation, we decided to wait until the following afternoon to pick it up. By then, the Uber credit they provided had expired, so we paid for the ride ourselves. Again, not a huge deal. We arrived the next afternoon and the car still wasn't ready. Had someone simply answered the phone or responded to a message, we could have avoided making the trip. Eventually, we got the car back and drove directly to the hand car wash we always use. We specifically prefer that the dealership not wash our cars because we're admittedly very particular about how they're cared for. That's when we noticed a large scratch on the top of the hood that wasn't there before. We immediately messaged the dealership. No response. Then, while driving back to the dealership, we started hearing a terrible noise whenever we turned the car. At that point, we were so frustrated that when we arrived, we actually forgot to even mention the scratch and focused on the much more concerning sound coming from the wheel. They initially seemed reluctant to look into it, but eventually discovered that the technician had not fitted the collar correctly on the wheel after removing it. Mistakes happen. A technician installing something incorrectly can happen. Even an expensive brake recommendation doesn't bother me. What bothers me is the combination of everything: phones not being answered, messages not being returned, being told the car would be ready when it wasn't, damage appearing on the vehicle while it was in their possession, and then receiving the car back after four days with part of the wheel assembly improperly fitted. That's not one isolated mistake. That's a quality-control and customer-service problem. We also weren't the only frustrated customers there. During our visit, another customer was visibly upset and raising her voice about her own issue. Unfortunately, this isn't our first unpleasant experience with this service center either. We've given Land Rover San Jose multiple opportunities because we purchased our Range Rover here and it's convenient, but at this point we've had enough. We're done with Land Rover San Jose.

I've bought four cars from this dealership for hundreds of thousands of dollars and have personally recommended them to at least 10 friends. That's how much trust I had in them. When I returned my 2022 Audi, the dealership told me to cancel the independent lease inspection that I had previously scheduled and bring the car directly to them because they would "handle everything" on the same day. I was at the dealership signing and driving away in my new 2024 Audi e-tron GT, believing--based on what they told me--that the lease return was fully taken care of. Seven months later, out of nowhere, Audi Financial claimed there was a problem with the lease return: a $695 charge for a cracked tail light -- something they told me would be handled and disclosed on the same day. Audi never contacted me during those seven months. No notice. No discussion. No attempt to resolve anything before it escalated. I immediately disputed the charge in writing through the proper channels with documentation. Despite that, the charge was pushed through anyway and reported in a way that wrecked my credit. Since then, I have spent months--now over a year--trying to get this resolved. All I am asking is that Audi Financial properly report the facts back to the credit bureaus. They have refused to do so. The impact: my credit score went from ~820 to ~590 over this single $695 issue -- a problem that exists only because I followed Audi San Jose's instructions and trusted them to handle the return properly. To make matters worse, Audi San Jose has never acknowledged that they told me to cancel the inspection in the first place, even though that instruction is what put me in this position. That led to a third trip to this location, where we then had to spend another two hours having the vehicle reappraised and going through the entire selling process all over again--all because the process was mishandled from the beginning. At pickup, while waiting for my advisor to finish with his customer, I enjoyed making conversation with other staff who all represent the brand with knowledgeable helpful insight, straight-forward car people who know how to talk to non-car people. I think I know about cars, but it was a good feeling to know my advisor knows more than me and I appreciate that. While I stay on top of my maintenance nothing beats the brand technicians who only work on Hyundais. While their labor is more expertise, I'm kind of glad my regular mechanic told me he doesn't do certain services - since they did seem complicated on a higher mileage car. Maybe they fluffed my feathers a bit too telling me my car was in good shape and that it was young, sort of made me proud of the journey this car and I have had and hope to continue to have well past the 150k mark! While this doesn't speak to the business but more the brand, I am glad that they made a car so fun to drive with small details that just make sense. In my opinion, this experience deserved zero stars.) My husband and I had an extremely disappointing experience with Hyundai of Stevens Creek in San Jose. After our vehicle was evaluated, he was presented with additional issues and recommendations that we did not feel were properly explained to us. My husband and I also take responsibility for not being as knowledgeable as I should have been and for not simply saying "no" when he was presented with additional paperwork. However, I expected the staff to provide professional guidance and clearly explain what we were agreeing to before asking my husband to sign documents. Unfortunately, the situation ultimately resulted in my husband having to return a loaner vehicle and being left without a vehicle, even after he spoke directly with a manager about our situation. At no point did my husband and I come in demanding anything or behaving rudely. I was respectful and tried to handle the situation as normally and reasonably as possible. That is what made the experience even more frustrating. I have dealt with many businesses over the years, and this was, technically, one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I understand that not every situation will go exactly the way a customer wants, but I do expect clear communication, professionalism, and reasonable customer service.. especially when dealing with something as important as someone's transportation. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and uses it as an opportunity to improve how customers are treated and how important decisions and paperwork are communicated.
