I was running 4 mins behind due to traffic and they went ahead and brought in the appointment behind me since they were already there and waiting. Not ideal for me of course but great if the shoe had been on the other foot. It's a pretty cozy space so I waited for the appointment to wrap up by admiring the small town views and a few new pair of glasses. Dr. Nguyen was a pleasure. She was knowledgeable and made sure that I had just as much of an understanding of what was going on with my eyes. I didn't feel rushed at all going through my exam and she gave me thoughtful suggestions on my next steps to ensure that my eye health was being prioritized. I also appreciated that Dr. Nguyen sanitized the equipment before having me use each machine. At the front desk for check out, the woman who helped me there was also really patient as I scrambled to find my HSA card to pay. It started pouring down raining and she was even kind enough to walk me through the back door to my car so I wouldn't get as wet. I will be ordering my new contacts from here soon and was told the turnaround time is really quick. I look forward to receiving them and I am excited to have a new eye doctor.

This is a first for me, in every contact lens appointment l've ever had in my 20+ years of wearing contact lenses, l'm given a pair to go home with. You pay $120 for the exam and leave with nothing. How am I supposed to know this prescription will work out if I don't get the trial pair?! I do not recommend the Terrell location, it has been a nightmare dealing with them and getting contact lenses. 0/0 stars **update** I reached out to the office manager at the email provided and never heard a response so I think it's just to save face. I took them in to the store in Terrell, along with two pairs of prescription sunglasses I had not purchased there. Not only did they fix the glasses that I had purchased there, they repaired the prescription sunglasses I had not purchased at their store! All at no cost! The process was really quite stressful for her and the staff was so understanding. We almost never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes even at their busiest past the scheduled appointment time. Their office is comfortable and beautifully decorated. All the equipment is state of the art. A side note, while Dr. Lee was gracious with a great "bedside manner" one time Dr. Lee wasn't available when my mother had to come in before her next scheduled follow-up, and she saw Dr. Hurst. He was very abrupt in his manner, with no smile and a bit of condescending attitude at our questions. So, one star knocked off because of him. :p

I had spoken with Jen before hand and explained that my friend could not use drops as he had a very allergic reaction to them that had put him in the emergency room before. She said if they could not examine him without drops she woud let us know before hand. We got there on time, filled out papers and then another women who worked there told him that they would not see him without using drops. That is very unethical. My friend has been blind for years with cataracts and we were so looking forward to him getting help. They should have let us know before driving all that distance.

Heaton Eye Dr started billing me for a visit…read morethat they coded incorrectly to my insurance company and I sent in three different times, information to show where my insurance approved the visit however the eye dr billing did not code it correctly. Because they didn't want to correct it on the eye Dr side they decided to send my bill to their collections company to collect the amount because they didn't want to be bothered with fixing it and resubmitting it correctly. Poor patient service for sure. Will never use them again nor recommend them to anyone to use. Their billing dept even said at the end that they had been having issues with their billing and were trying to fix those issues and with the collections dept. . Well you lost a patient at the patients expense. I have never had anything go to a collections and for no reason or warning either. Poor customer service. Shame on Heaton Eye. The kicker was the other bill from my first apt. Was coded correctly and my insurance covered it just fine. The woman I spoke to this morning said yeah she saw that but still was fine taking my money instead of resolving their error on their end. Shameful at best........

They have all your name brand options as well as more budget friendly options. I ended up scheduling an eye exam as well as purchasing transition lenses. They didn't have anything the day I walked in but they were able to schedule me for the very next day. Clean office. Smells good. Nice staff.

I will never let FEA fill my prescription again…read more 3 weeks after my order was placed, I had the not received any update on my order.When I called them I was informed my lenses were scratched so bad they had to redo the lenses. 4 weeks after the order was placed I still had not been contacted in any form of an update. I called again. They said it will take another week. 5 weeks after I placed my order, I was notified by text message they are ready to be picked up at 3:45 on Friday. They close at 5:00. I picked them up the following Monday. They forgot to put the transitional tint on the lenses. I returned them the next day to have the tint installed on them. 7 weeks later after my initial order I received my glasses. I had to return to the store due to some wire hanging down from the top of one of the lenses. There is not a manager there so you end up dealing with a receptionist. I was only informed of any update twice only because I let the receptionist know when calling to get an update. When I called, the receptionist acted like it was an inconvenience to give me an update on my order. Horrible customer service. FEA will not get my business in the future.
