I'll keep this one short...great food, cozy environment-go with close friends and/or family, absolutely fantastic service. Our server was very personable and had a remarkable service heart. Mere menu descriptions didn't suffice as he suggested food and wine pairings for whole dishes, ingredients and flavors. Wow. read more

This is our favorite Italian restaurant! Unbelievable food, wine, and atmosphere. Every time we go Daniel (the owner takes care of us) and we have the most wonderful experience. I can not recommend this place enough- a true gem. It is like you are sitting in Italy, everything is superb! read more

I felt like I'm in Tuscany ! Very friendly and attentive staff. Pasta was very fresh and delicious. Must try gnocchi.

The service was TERRIBLE even though it wasn't that busy. After serving us, they disappeared and returned much later... with the wrong order. I waited 15 minutes and no one returned to our table. Hungry and unwilling to wait even longer for a new entree, I ate some of the incorrect order and when they finally came to our table 30 minutes later, we asked for another glass of wine. We watched them serve wine and food to 3 other table and they didn't come back to our table once. We had enough at that point and just wanted to leave. I had to walk around to find a waiter his attention for the check. Not only did they get my order wrong, give us terrible service and forget about the wine we ordered, but at the end they didn't once apologize. To top it off, we paid $100 for nothing because the food itself was mediocre at best. Needless to say, we will not be returning. read more

Went in with family for a cozy Sunday evening dinner, and that's exactly what we got -- incredible service, on-point wine recommendations and an EXTREMELY gracious host/owner, Daniele. The food was carefully made, portions were generous, and everything we ate (grilled octopus, cavatelli alla norma, papardelle with mushrooms, tagliatelle with white ragu of venison almonds and rosemary) was simply delicious. Wine was pricey, but honestly totally worth it. read more

Great homemade pasta! Staff is very friendly too.

Absolutely outstanding food. Starters--burrata with truffles and the prosciutto were the highest quality. Dinner--Gnocchi with lobster--gnocchi pillowy and fresh in light tomato base, the lobster buttery and briny. The meat in the ragu with tag. was super flavorful. Wines were excellent. Staff was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. The dining atmosphere is charming and warm. Worth every penny. read more

Absolutely love Terre! Delicious pasta, excellent wine and good service. Authentic Italian food and decor with a warm atmosphere.

Wonderful to see Terre back in full swing. We hadn't been there for over a year and it was even better, with really inventive dishes, perfect for fall (including boar rage), and an outdoor space that is now quite charming. The service, which people once complained of, is now impeccable. The portions are bigger, more American style (for better or probably worse). The only caveat still is the lack of a few moderately priced wines. Bottles start at $63. They are mainly biodynamic, carefully chosen, and delicious, but we'd probably go more often if we had the option. Now is the time go to, before it get's too cold!! read more

This place is absolutely wonderful. The service was attentive but not overbearing, they let us try multiple wines before we decided upon a fantastic natural wine, and the food was fresh and delicious. I ordered the gnocchi with lobster tail and both were done excellently. My girlfriend had the other gnocchi option on the menu and it was equally good. I find it hard to believe this place isn't rated more highly and isn't packed, but I'm not complaining. I will happily come here often and not have to wait for a table. Also, for spring/summer visits, they have a very pretty garden with a couple tables suitable for groups. Really great atmosphere. Highly recommend! read more

Wonderful food and wonderful service. Everything is fresh and the employees are knowledgeable and want you to have a good time.

The environment was really comfortable, nice staff. Lamb shank rich of flavor and cooked really well. Everything with a good bottle of Sagrantino, red wine from Umbria, Italy. read more

Can't judge the food because we stood waiting for over 20 min without even seeing the hostess. No one came near the crows waiting near the door. No one came to tell us a wait time or anything so eventually we left. read more

This is a wine lovers paradise. You tell them what you're in the mood for and they bring you something that fits the description. They have so many wines by the glass that people have the option to try all kinds of natural wines. This place is AMAZINGGGGG read more

Celebrated our anniversary here tonight and felt like we were stepping into the backyard garden of a restaurant in Italy. Such a lovely experience during covid times. Great food and service. The authenticity and soul of this place shines through. read more

Excellent service both, polite and knowledgeable. We took a recommendation for a good dry white wine and loved what they brought out. My ragu was rich and tasty and the bruschetta was garden fresh. Super cozy atmosphere! Looking forward to coming back. read more

Terre - Italian Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Although I'm not italian, Pasta is always my first choice for comfort food. A hearty bolognese over fresh pasta warms my heart just thinking about it. Terre served me one of the best meat sauce I have ever had. It was light yet full of bold flavors that makes love to your mouth. It had the perfect consistency where the sauce stuck to the pasta, so you had the perfect amount of ragu with each bite of noodles. In addition to that, we ordered the Gnocchi Truffle Burrata and the Black Truffle Burrata with Prosciutto (anything that has either, I will order. Even at the same meal). The Gnocchi was drenched in a rich creamy sauce that fit perfectly with the gnocchi which was so soft and light that it balanced out the dish to perfection. The truffle flavor was subtle yet very much there as was the burrata. The other burrata dish was an appetizer served on a thick slice of sourdough bread. The salty aged meat with the creamiest burrata on crusty bread was so delicious. A little on the small size or maybe it was just so good that I didn't want it to be done. Now even if the only good thing about this place was the food it would be worthy of 5 stars. But everything else about this place was equally magical. (Is there a 6 star option?) the decor, the wine, the staff. Truly a gem in park slope. read more

Best wine in Park Slope! Super romantic and rustic setting. Always have a great evening here, the ambience and service is top notch. Perfect for romantic dinner, celebrations, or wine and cheese night read more

The food was edible and the service was borderline. They got our orders mixed up so we waited a long time to dine but that's forgivable. What was disappointing was the attitude of some of the servers -- there was a definite bias towards white people, especially the ones who looked like they'd spend more. It was kind of unbelievable because the year is 2019, not 1919. If they weren't excited to serve you, you'd know it. When you own or run a business you can't take service lightly as it is a major attraction for return customers. The male servers were more considerate and apologetic. However, what the restaurant lacked in food quality and customer care it made up in its decor and ambience, if you're into the shabby chic aesthetic. read more

Excellent restaurant! Incredible food. Everything was so fresh and delightful. The portions were great. The service was incredible. Each person was so kind and engaging and fun. The ambience was really warm and inviting. Don't let the small tables throw you off. This is really an experience to be had. Very lucky that it's local. I will definitely be back. read more

1 Star, to be generous, for this undewerwhelming eatery that mostly serves bread and charcuterie as their 'best dishes'. The rest are just blend, boring and overpriced dishes that anyone, with basic cooking skills, can make better at home. read more

I met a friend of mine for dinner there a couple of weeks ago, and although the food was very good (we didn't have pasta) we still left with a sour taste. The food itself was really tasty, and seemed to be very authentic. The wine list is also very interesting and the wine we chose, by the glass was also good. Two things that made the evening memorable for all the wrong reasons, the waitress was trying to up sell on the wine, but just constantly tried to get us to have the expensive Barolo. I understand an up sell, but this was not the way to do it. What really upset us both was the Chef, who very enthusiastically congratulated us on our wine choice promised to give us a taste of another wine from his region. He filled our glasses, and made it seem like he was treating us, but at the end of the evening those two glasses of wine were on the check and were $21 each. We were not asked if we wanted to buy this glass, or told the price in advance, and to have an extra $42 to pay on the bill felt dishonest. Of course they may have made an extra few bucks from us that night, but have now lost 4 customers, (we will not come back with our wives). Go for the food, but be really careful when they start to offer you extra wine. read more

Wow! Ever since I've been to Italy, it has been hard for me to find something similar on this side of the ocean. But this is it! The service is unparalleled to anything I've experienced elsewhere. The owner is an amazing host and took care of my party very well. The friendly waiters are well trained in their knowledge of the foods and imported wine selections. The environment is very cozy and comfortable. I would 100% recommend this to anyone. Definitely coming back :) read more

Only go here if you have 2+ to kill, or if you are yuppie Park Slope parents with some adorable toddlers bringing your play group for an early dinner. My friends and I arrived at a slow time on a Saturday evening and waited 2 full hours without ever recieving any food, while a number of parents with young kids came, ate, and left with us still sitting hungry watching dish after dish go out to the other tables. We had to ask multiple times for a refill of water and free bread. We were repeatedly told our food was "ready" but it never appeared... This place desperately needs a bigger kitchen or a smaller service area. read more

Romantic and cozy spot perfect for a date. Rustic Italian feel and decoration. Food is amazing and wide selection of wines. Recommend the pasta ragu and the bread with cheeses. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that service was very slow - despite the friendly staff, they seemed overworked and too few waiters for the number of tables in the restaurant. read more

Really horrendous service, the food came out at totally random times and was just sitting there for some people and not others, and it took hours to get our check. The food was fine but really overpriced. read more

OMG!! This is my favorite place EVER!! It feels like you're in a different world the moment you walk in, both the inside and outside feel like you're in Italy which makes the experience even better. The staff is very attentive and explains everything really well! The pasta is freshly made and every dish tastes divine. Their natural wine selection is amazing, everything is by the bottle and you can try before you commit! 10/10 would recommend, 10/10 coming back. (Pro tip, ask for the specials of the day) read more

Pls call the exterminator or temporarily close the place down! Living in Bk, I get that cockroaches are an inevitable downfall when it comes to old buildings and they're a battle faced by many... HOWEVER, when it comes to food, the pairing is quite an unsavory choice. While the food was quite good at this restaurant and the staff beyond friendly, I prefer to have my dinners alongside friends and not unsavory creatures. When we first sat down, the cockroach was climbing down the heating pole right behind me. After my friend had killed that one, another climbed right along the table. Once we asked to change tables, another critter ended up on the back of the patron behind me, who naturally proceeded to flick his sweater onto me. While this place has great reviews and rightly so, I think it's only fair to get rid of this problem before subjecting more patrons to this torture. I'm sure I'm not the only one that felt this way. read more

Is an amazing restaurant in park slope neighborhood, real and traditional Italian food with many different dishes every week. The open garden at the backyard is really good in the starting summer in NYC, is like be in home. The pasta ragu was one of the best choice with the amazing orange wine... The natural wine that they offer are special. Definitely I go to come back with my wife and friends. read more

The most remarkable pasta and best natural wine list you'll find in Brooklyn/NYC. Incredible service!

My husband and I ate at Terre tonight on a rare date night. I guess my rating is a 3.5- it's a very tight space and we had to actually move tables because we were so cramped and jostled by every person who came by. The servers were more than attentive (we were asked about 20 times how our meal was) so no fault to them.. but the food was very expensive and it was hard to justify the price tag with the experience and quality of the food. I had a very very rich gnocchi with mushrooms (the mushrooms were a bit hard to find but the pool of butter and cream wasn't..) my dish was $24 (and no protein). My husband liked his burrata appetizer very much. The boar Raghu was hard to stomach $30 price tag. How about throwing in the olive oil and bread for free instead of asking $13? The kicker may have been right after paying the bill, my husband returned from the bathroom to inform me a cockroach fell out of the hand dryer. I mentioned it on the way out and was told an exterminator had come that very morning? Possible? So ehh. A bit disappointed after dropping close to $200 and still searching for a really reliable Italian spot in park slope. read more

Decor is nice but somewhat haphazard with various types of uncomfortable seats and tight areas. Food is excellent as our entire party agreed, but if you are scheduled to be somewhere after visiting this establishment, forget it. Quite long and uncomfortable gaps in time between appetizers and then taking the order for the main course. Even waiting for the check was so long that some of our guests decided to get up and prepare to leave. A bit pricey but quite understandable as again, the food was excellent. But the lack of timely and attentive service knocked off what could be one of the best places we have visited. read more

I was so looking forward to finally dinning out after 3 months of quarantine but left Terre so disappointed yesterday night. The patio is very cute (star for that) and servers are extremely nice but.... the only thing I liked was octopus salad that we shared as appetizer, another appetizer was prosciutto with burrata which was not fresh and basically frozen. We waited for almost an hour for our pasta dishes when people who came and ordered after us got their pasta, ate and left. When our pasta finally arrived it was so tasteless.... I felt like they didn't even put salt in it. In general the choices of pastas are very basic. Out of 3 desserts we ordered mine was Tiramisu, or at least they called it a tiramisu. It was so so tiny and it felt like it came from a freezer and didn't get a chance to thaw. Imagine how I felt paying more than $200 for the dinner and than going to a street vendor and buying a salted pretzel after eating half frozen burrata and blah pasta ... read more

I had a terrific dinner here last night with two friends. Such lovely servers, dozens of wines to try and the food was amazing! We were not in a rush so perhaps others are right about the slowness of delivery? But it felt like we were in a cozy, rustic cafe in Italy for a couple of hours. read more

I never seen such a huge list of Italian Natural Wines, in particular orange wines and all by the glass! I had a dinner in Terre last night and it was like being guests of an Italian family: genuine atmosphere, really good service and amazing pasta!! You have to try their homemade "Terrelle" with Ragù, so tasty! Everything in Terre is focused on details, also in the wonderful garden outside. I'm going to come back for sure during the weekend for the brunch! Good job guys!! read more

The space, hospitality, and food are second to none in Park Slope. The wine was delicious as was the pasta, and the service staff was knowledgeable, delightful, and prompt. We were in the beautiful and secluded garden patio and couldn't have been happier. Look no further for authentic Italian food and kindness! read more

Good food, good service, nice surroundings, so what's wrong? OUTRAGEOUSLY OVERPRICED! We had a salad, served in a small bowl, a North Italian fonduta (aka fondue), and a pasta dish with a venison sauce, plus 2 glasses of wine. With tax and tip (yes, I gave a 20% tip to our very nice waitress from Como) the whole thing came to $150. Think about that: salad, cheese, pasta and wine for $150. The fondue was $30, a glass of Nebbiola was $18, and a glass of Montepulciano was $16. Does that sound fair to you? I don't mind paying that at Olmsted, or the Grocery, but then you are getting haute cuisine. This place serves good quality family-style food, without the family style portions, or the family friendly prices. I was genuinely offended by the gall that allows them to charge such prices for what they are offering. If none of this bothers you, you'll love the place. Otherwise, head up the street to Il Sogno Secondo. read more

We have eaten here 4 or 5 times, as a couple, with friends and with family. The orange wine is unusual and worth a try, but note that the whole wine list is very pricey. This place is cute and the authentic Italian waiters add ambiance (even if sometimes they come across a bit pretentious). My biggest complaint with this place is consistency, we have received cold food 2 or 3 times and the quality of the seafood is not great, just ok (shrimp/lobster dishes) When we've complained the waiters seemed offended and snubbed us. I mean I believe positive feedback is a good thing and when you are laying out $100 on a bottle of wine and the same on food for a couple. My Mother is Italian so I think we know Italian food, she had the same complaint after eating here. We thought that the waiters/owners should have offered a free glass of wine or a free dessert to make up for our cold food but they never do. I think we are done with this place. They can boast about their quality ingredients all they want to, but when the food is cold who cares. read more

We went to Terre after having moved to Park Slope in April and the food was delicious. Went back last night and while our waitress was very sweet, the food was terrible. I ordered the veal ragu pasta dish both times and last night it was awful. I've been to the NYC's top Italian spots and eat the cuisine regularly. It was basically sautéed veal and pasta, no sauce, just dry with some almonds and rosemary. Awful. What was worse was that owner/manager comes over and asks us what was wrong, we tell him and then he tells us they got a new chef. Offers us free gelato which we declined. I didn't even eat my pasta and doesn't even take the pasta dish off the bill!?! Gave us 1 free glass of wine. It was a joke. I don't recommend going to this place for anything more than wine and maybe some overpriced appetizers. They need to lower their prices or get their old chef back. Otherwise it's a cute place. read more
