Similar experience to many of the bad reviews here. They fail to keep their appointments and reschedule them without notifying the customer. Calls to customer service are met with offers to make a note for technicians to call next time they are going to move an appointment. Have literally gone months without seeing a technician, despite having appointments scheduled on a weekly basis. Notes on the account are never saved. Each call requires a full recap, notes about calls when appointments are missed are not saved to account. There are also multiple layers between the customer and their service center. Call centers can only relay messages back and forth, and take notes, which as mentioned, do not get saved. Technician's admit they are unable to do their jobs, are overworked, underpaid and stressed. Some technicians do not appear to be qualified for their jobs, others seem up to the task when they are able to actually make an appointment. Located in Staten Island, they have no business attempting to make appointments in other Boroughs at a schedule that is impossible to keep with the realities of traffic. Have asked several times to be serviced by a different "branch" but Terminex does not have the ability to provide that service, even though there are geographically closer branches. read more

I am very disappointed with this Terminix branch. I had termite bait stations installed on June 29 of this year. The install did not match what I signed to in my contract. It took over two months of me calling, writing letters to the branch and to corporate and finally filing a complaint with the NYS Attorney General for someone from Terminix to contact me about my issue. When I met with one of the technicians at the property to review the job he was extremely rude and unprofessional. Never-the-less he did finally admit there were big gaps in the coverage and the install did not meet what was signed to in the contract. He assured me the issue would be resolved. This was over two weeks ago and still nothing has been resolved. I strongly suggest not using this branch for termite services. read more

If it was possible NOT to give any stars, I wouldn't even give them one. I had a horrible Experience with this company. The representative that took care of me was MOHAMED MUNTAZ, which showed TERRIBLE customer service. If possible avoid ask for another representative. I had originally called set up an appointment, we then made a contract of what I wanted done and where exactly I wanted them to lay the termite treatment. I wanted around my entire home done, and yet they only did my drive way and told me putting the treatment around my home couldn't be done, where as my contract said otherwise. To top it off they charged my card for $1800 before they even came to do the job. Mohamed Muntaz was also supposed to come back and do a follow up and never showed up. read more

I wish I had read these reviews before signing a year long contract. Terminix is really terrible. They never call to set up appointments, they just show up when no one is home then charge you for work they supposedly did outside. Their bills are full of add ons and their inspectors make up problems that don't exist. After a year of service we still have ants. You'll do much better to buy over the counter products and treat the problem yourself. Terminix is a truly terrible company. read more

I've spent hundreds of dollars and countless hours on this company, and not only are they not showing up for appointments, but have yet to return a phonecall. My roommate and I paid over $ 600 and had one visit, four months ago. Last week I got confirmation for a Saturday visit, waited around four hours for someone named Nicholas, and no one showed or answered my calls. No call back throughout the week. Yesterday I called again, the rep on the phone said to expect a call by the end of the day. I waited, no phone call. Completely unsatisfied!!! I am constantly having issues with scheduling an appointment. I call to make an appointment and I'm speaking to someone who has to contact the local branch and then the local branch will contact me. They say they will call me back and sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. When I did speak to someone they said my appointment was for a certain day. I called to change that appointment and they said my appointment was for a different day which I did not agree to. I don't think it's right that they just make appointments and then inform me of when it's going to be. Also why would I pay for services and they only service the outside of my house and not service the inside? It doesn't make any sense. Scheduling an appointment shouldn't be so stressful and time consuming!!!! Terminix needs to change their scheduling policy and make their business more customer friendly!!!!! read more

Worst run business I have ever dealt with in 16 yrs living in the ny area. From the initial consult which was just a big old sales pitch, to the actual service provided by unprofessional technicians. We were told we would be refunded (as their ads proudly show) for our horrible service. 2 months later that has yet to happen despite multiple calls. Do not use Terminix!! They lure you in saying that you pay one time for a 3 month service and if you wish to continue you can then pay monthly. When the technician came the first time he said I had to sign the contract otherwise he would not do the work. I was told that I could cancel within the 3 months. I called the company that same day to verify that was true and they told me that I had until August 26th. She even said I should call by August 16th to make sure the cancellation would go through. She also said I should have the technician come back as often as once a week if I so desired between that 3 month period - May 26th through August 26th. I called them once in July and then the last time August 7th. I then cancelled the contract on August 9th. Well, they billed me $107.79 for the August 7th visit. I called the corporate office -the only people you can speak with because I was told the local office does not take calls. I spoke with several different representatives and they all gave me different stories ranging from they would take care of it to there being nothing I could do about it. The last rep I spoke to was so incredibly rude and nasty that I had to hang up on her. I disputed the charge with my credit card company but I lost because of that signed contract! I don't know how they figure out their 3 months, but obviously it's not the way most people do! Bottom line - DO NOT USE TERMINIX! The reps and technicians are not on the same page and will mislead you! read more

I contracted with Terminix a year ago, the initial appointment went well, but the follow-up service is awful. One big issue is that Terminix will frequently change appointments at the last minute. When the change of appointment calls come in, they don't come from a local office and sometimes the regional and local offices are out of sync. I am also providing this service to tenants and when Terminix screws up, my tenants are looking at me. Time to find a new company. read more

After getting a Swear it will never happen again from the newest manager in the fall, along with a discount on the annual rate for the last 13 years of crappy service and her personal cell number, I set an appointment window for 3-5pm. Got a call on my cell at 2:23pm that the technician was on my stoop. And a robotext at 2:24pm that he was on the way. And a service review request simultaneously! Guess what? I don't answer my phone while teaching. Furthermore, I am not home. Want to know why? Because I'm working. So I set an appointment window for when I'm home. Crazy idea, huh? So I call the tech on his cell. Straight to voicemail. Twice. Text him. Crickets. Then I call the local NYC number, get some nice lady in the Midwest call center who's horrified that no one is coming back, then she says she'll make sure the tech calls back or a manager will before 5pm. I try hard not to laugh. So, you know the rest. No calls, no texts. Almost forgot. I got a lovely follow-up How are we doing service rating robo-email half an hour into the service window. Worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Big song and dance with an intelligent salesmen when signing up, then reality set it. The technician barely spoke to me and began spraying a chemical that I could buy at Home Depot. I refused to sign the contract and, in spite of that, I was billed for an additional visit that never happened. When I called they said that I agreed to a service and that they sprayed the perimeter of the house when I wasn't home. Not only is my house gated and impossible to access without a key, but I never signed a contract. When asked to produce the contract they said they will look into it and resolve the mater. A few weeks later the process starts all over again. I was left on hold for 22 minutes as they resolved (wait for me to hang up) this issue. After being taken off of hold I was told that the issue would be sent to the site in Staten Island for review. A few day's later I was called and told that the request was rejected and I am responsible for the charges. read more
