Tecs were here for 10 mins and most likely sprayed water on the bottom of the house and lightly dusted and guaranteed their work and didn't even get down spider webs and eggs. So I called again and they said I didn't call within 30 days. They only keep the call logs they want and lie. They do a crappy job. Don't waste your money here. This is in regards to Customer Service. I am only giving Terminix 3 stars because of the last person I spoke with Isiah. If it wasn't for him, I would give 0 stars. I bought a house recently and received a letter in the mail saying my account was about to expire. I wasn't sure if it was real so I called Terminix to confirm if it was legit. I was spoke to very rudely, I was hung up on, I was transferred to dead ends, and I was lied to. Finally after 5 calls into Terminix, I got Isiah who was extremely helpful, very reassuring, and also kind. I found out it was real and the house did have an account. The first time I contacted him to follow up, his excuse was that he'd forgotten the appointment and would come by that day I had contacted him, yet he forgets again! This is unacceptable. Terminix is a FRAUD. Despite their [mis] representations they do not have a live-baiting termite prevention system, only a notification system which alerts them if termites eat the wood chips. By the time they show up [ they only come every two months] your house could be destroyed. Also, try and get someone from this company on the phone----good luck. They have an 800 number but no one will ever call you from your local area. Their servicemen do not keep appointments at all. You have to beg them to come, even though you have paid for a contract. If you are reading this deciding whether or not you should use Terminix buyer beware. We have a spider problem. Terminix was very friendly at first to get my business, assuring me that they would get rid of them. I was told they would do an inspection of the house to determine why we have spiders. Because they said, "Spiders are a secondary problem," and "don't worry we will get rid of them." So my appointment date arrived 7/25/2015. The technician David did come out on time. However there was no inspection done like I was told. Such as looking at the attic space, crawl space under the house. Pretty much he came in the house knocked down a couple webs (which I still saw webs he missed after) and sprayed a couple of places and continued to do the same outside. I asked if he could spray this storage area that you can access the attack through....which we believe to be the reason we have so many large ones inside. He said no, that he sprayed around the door that should keep them out. He told me that I could expect to see a 90% decrease in spiders and that if I saw some they most likely would be dead or mostly dead. WRONG....a week later I began to see spiders forming webs outside where he had sprayed. I knew it would be soon that I would see the large giant spiders returning and what do you know I saw the large giant spiders return. No they weren't dead....No they weren't almost dead. They were very much alive and running fast through our house. I know this area has spiders. But never have I lived in a house where I see this many. I guess this house has had a spider problem for awhile now. So like they guarantee "We're committed to defending your home or business against pests and termites. We'll do whatever it takes to keep them out, so you can rest easy knowing we've got you covered." I called asking them to come back because we noticed more spiders. They scheduled an appointment for Friday 8/7/15 between 3pm-5pm. That is my husband and I's only day off together. We waited for someone to show. No call, no show. We called customer service and waited to speak with someone for 45 minutes. Of course they never tell the person they are transferring us to our story so we have to explain it again.Then I was told for sure Saturday between 9am-11am someone would show. Again no show, no call. I called up Terminix again pretty frustrated now because they have wasted almost 5 hours of my time. My time is valuable, especially my days off and I was extremely disappointed in their service, customer service and lack of communication. I guess they don't live by their guarantee. I would not recommend Terminix unless you enjoy waiting around for no one to show. Or you like paying $180 for no results. I will now use my time to warn others. If I could give no stars I would. The first technician was did his job and was a awesome guy. After i moved into a new house and realized I had an Ant problem I called them to come inspect and spray. Well i was told that the appointment was on July 8th and even got a text a few days before stating the appointment was the 8th. I took the day off work and ending up getting a call from the tech saying the appointment was the 9th. I explained it was supposed to be that day and he dismissed my claim rudely and said nope it's tomorrow. So now i had to take 2 days off of work. 3 days after the service the Ants were back even worse. I called and explained the situation about already having to take 2 days off because there mistake the receptionist acted like she did not even hear me and said we are all booked, someone will call you when they have time. So they have been charging me monthly cost me over in $150 in lost wages, did not even offer an apology and did not bother to make a priority to fix it and the Ants are worse then before they came. read more

I smell a RAT...STILL! We have a rental house, but live out of state. We called Terminix because there was a rodent invasion in our rental house crawl space. We called Terminix because we thought we could trust them to be fair, do good work, and stand behind their work. Nothing could be further from this. The inspector was nice enough. He did the inspection, gave us a quote, the price was right, so we scheduled to have the work done. We were told that we wouldn't be charged until the clean-up job and exclusion work was completed. When the charges hit our credit card, we just so happened to be coming into town at the same time. We did not receive a call saying that the work was all done, just a notification from our cc company that the charges had gone through. While in town, we made a visit to the rental house, only to discover after going in the crawl space that only two of the 10 items on the list were actually "done"/worked on. Needless to say, we felt like we had been had! When we contacted Terminix about what we had (hadn't) seen, they "seemed" concerned and said "they" would make sure everything got (re)done. However, when the day came for them to come back and re-do the work, they told us they would call to let me know they were on the way (which they didn't), and when I got to the house at the later end of the time window they gave, the truck was already there. They sent two techs, who didn't apologize for anything - only made excuses. We asked if either one had been there for the original work. The both said "No", however one of them had to recant that statement when he slipped up about something he had worked on during the first visit. When asked how long this visit would take, they told us "about another hour". At that point, we went under the crawl space with them to point out the things that were NOT done the first time and they didn't really seem like they knew where each of the items that needed to be fixed and cleaned up were - we had to point them out - after which we told them we would be going back down again when they said they were finished - for one last inspection. We stayed the rest of the time they were there cleaning up and fixing things (3 hours, btw), mainly because we didn't feel comfortable that ALL of the work would get done. When they told us they were done, we went back into the crawl space, only to find there was still insulation scattered on the floor, and rat feces on the cement pilings, which we made them clean up. Later that day, we called back into Terminix (they didn't call us, of course) to express how unhappy we are, and to call them on their website claim (this is directly from their website): Ultimate Protection Guarantee No other pest control company offers you a stronger guarantee than Terminix®. They scheduled an appointment for an inspection between 8-10am, no call no showed. I called the company to make sure I had an appointment still and they called the inspector who said they would be at my home by 11am. Time passed and no one showed. I called once more for a time frame and the inspector was unable to give a time frame at that point. Very unhappy with the service and will not be using this company. read more

Their service is OK, but customer service is horrible. They use a national call center and there's no way to contact anyone locally. Had them for about a year and every appointment had scheduling issues or the proper directions weren't relayed to the technician. They even serviced a completely different house once! I had experience with Terminix many times until I found out that there are local services who are better. The corporate policy for Terminix is deceiving in my opinion. 2 years ago, I had some ants problems so I prepaid for 1 year protection. What they did quarterly was leaving the ant baits and spaying some chemicals around the house for other pests. The year has passed now but I been getting their bills for the service. I did complain to them about the bill because I never requested for another service. Their answer was upsetting. The contract says that (in small fonts for who has better than 20/20 vision) the service continues until the owner calls Terminix for stopping service. It is not just for a yearly contract either. It is for one time service too, the company will come to your house for the service next quarter regardless of your needs and will ask for the bill because you didn't call to stop it ahead of time. Personally I will not call them again. But if you decide to call them for one time or for one year, make sure that you call them the next day not to come to your house for next term. Instead, only sprayed around the house and told me that tenting appointment is not available for 6 months. I told them that I cannot wait this long and to cancel my contract. I hired Terminix to tent my home for drywood termites. The guys that come out to put the tent on my house broke my outside light that's on my roof. Ripped off a three-foot section of rain gutter and managed to break a piece on my chain link fence is metal and holds the top bar of the fence to the Post in the ground. And it gets worse I have a attic exhaust fan that is hardwired they never turned the breaker off so the fans stayed on pulling over 415 cubic feet of air per minute out of my attic and whatever gas they put in my home with it. As a result I have a house infested with drywood termites that are alive and termites are falling out my AC vents on my dresser my stove and my back hallway. A man for Terminix come to my house to talk to me. He told me the people that put the tint on my home and damaged my light my fence and my rain gutter had no affiliation with Terminix. I didn't know whether to laugh hysterically or punch the guy in his mouth. I have never had anyone talk to me in such a condescending way in my own home. I have a construction background I have subcontracted for Home Depot I never had anyone complain about me. Every home I ever worked in I left cleaner than when I arrived. When Terminix come to open my house and air it out they never shut my blinds back they never pulled my curtains back they didn't wipe their feet and I could feel sand on my hardwood floors I keep a clean home I expect other people that come in my house to do work to leave it cleaner than when they arrived. Terminix has done nothing nothing at all besides take $3,000 from me and leave me with a house infested with termites. I was robbed by Terminix of $3,000. Right now I'm in the process of having Truly Nolen, Orkin, Best pest control, and Chet's Pest Control come to my house and do an inspection, I am getting these four inspections from these other companies to prove in court Terminix did not kill the termites in my house due to leaving my exhaust fan on and sucking out all the gas they put in. Hopefully I win my $3,000 back then I can hire a real pest control company that will tent my house turn my attic exhaust fan off this time and actually kill my termites. Do yourself a favor do not put yourself through the stress that I have went through. I signed a contract with Terminix for their residential pest control service for one year. I paid the the $1375 yearly fee upfront and was told by the rep that that was the entire fee for one year covering all costs and that I could renew the service after one year for $113 a month. For this fee they put out some sticky rodent trays which anyone can buy at Home Depot, 6 termite traps, pluged some holes in my external walls, and installed a plastic strip across the bottom of my garage door. That is it. Then they said goodye we'll see you in three months. Then, in going over my Visa account, I noticed they are taking $ 113 more per month for doing absolutely nothing. I called customer service and they said this charge was for additional supplies and services of which there is none being done. The rep said nothing about an additional $113 a month in addition to the $1375 fee I paid up front. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS RIP OFF COMPANY. We have had several appointments where they haven't shown up and in once case the tech was 4 hours late. We had such a bad start with them that one of the managers of this location came out with the tech, who by the way, had shown up not knowing what he was there for and had to call his boss to find out what he was supposed to do. The manager had told us that they would be back in a couple of days to check our traps and we never heard from them. He had specifically given us his email address to contact him directly if there were any problems. So I emailed him and 4 days have gone by and I still haven't heard from them. Unfortunately, I didn't do my research before signing the contract to see that there are many others who have experienced what we have with them not showing up. Save your phone call. Got them to come out to do an inspection for critters in the attic. Tech found evidence of raccoon or squirrel visitors. Found droppings and burrowing in the insulation. Service included plugging possible entrances, removing old insulation, disinfect, blow in new insulation (and even gave a price for gutter replacements to insure no entry under soffit). Estimate = $8000. Had another inspection from a local/family owned company. Guess what ? No apparent openings, no droppings, insulation uneven due to new roof installed and repaired. No critters. Suggested we are hearing them scuttle across the roof at night. Goodbye, have a nice day. Out the door. Take what you want from this story and NO I wasn't gong to spend $8000 to clean out the animals. read more

Used these guys for several years, but we still had mice. They would come back and the technician would be so nice as he gave me all kinds of excuses. One guy wouldn't go down in the crawl space. Then we had a bee problem this summer. They were harassing my painters. The guy climbed up the ladder in one location and sprayed, then said this could take 5 days. Well 5 days later we still had bees. Same guy comes out and spends 2 minutes on property "treating the bees". After one of the painters was stung, we bought some bee spray and eliminated the bees immediately. That was the end of that. I felt like a fool for spending money on their service. I called to cancel the service the day the technician reappeared to do the scheduled service, because he just walked around the house without really doing anything. We had an issue with stinkbugs coming in through a skylight. The technician was on time, did a thorough job, and advised what to do if they returned prior to the warranty period. Sure enough, they returned (less of them) and I asked Terminix to return. The second technician was also very helpful, tried a different method. No bugs since then! This company is a joke. Called about fleas and the women I spoke with had no idea what she was doing but finally made a appointment. The first time they came to spray my home, first they were a full hour late. They said they would be there between 8am and noon and didn't get there till 1pm. Spent less then 10 minutes in my house and left. He only sprayed around things. Didn't even get in the corners or behind anything. I was told to wait 4 hours then I can return home. Once I returned home I did everything by the book to help get rid of the flea, vacuumed and removed anything that could have flea in it. Absolutely nothing changed, my house was still infested. I have no pets, I got the fleas from a couch that was given to me, which has also been removed from my home. I called the next day to terminex and at first the manager, Mike tried to say I wasn't doing my part, as in treating my pet or vacuuming. I told him I have no pets and I vacuumed 7 times. Finally being on hold for some time they said they would be back the day after. Same guy came and I stayed in the house this time with him and he tried to do the same thing. I had to follow him all around and move my furniture just to get him to spray that area and made me feel like I was asking him to walk on water or something. I asked he wasn't spraying the whole floor not just the corners and I was told that's not how we do it when I know for a fact that is how other companies do. And sure enough when I went back home waiting 4 hours to return again, NOTHING CHANGED. I used them for maybe 20 years plus, and when it appeared I suffered new termite damage I had to struggle and threaten legal attacks before they finally agreed to pay for the damages suffered. I then decided to end my contract with them and asked them to remove the bait traps from my property. I must have called them 6-7 times about taking this step, each time they assured me apologetically that they would send someone over, and they NEVER followed up. I called Terminix on a Saturday after accidentally discovering a nest of very aggressive wasps the hard way while gardening. Super scary because I'm allergic to wasps. Fortunately, I didn't need to be hospitalized but another sting could be a life or death situation for me and I needed someone to come out ASAP. The person I spoke with on the phone was polite and courteous and scheduled me an appointment for Tuesday. Flash forward to Monday evening, less than 24 hours before my scheduled appointment: I received a message saying my appointment day is booked to capacity and now I'll have to wait until Thursday. I don't understand why I was given an appointment for Tuesday if that day was already full. As someone who has a life-threatening allergy to wasps, having to wait an extra two days feels like an eternity. If they had been honest and forthright from the get go, I could (and would!) have scheduled with someone else right away. Please don't use this company if you have an allergy. They don't seem to care about the fact that your life is in danger. read more
