They do come out for free reapplication of the pesticide in between quarterly appointments but only in 2 week intervals. pretty good service but my issues are with the contract and cost. My contract was for $60 a month for one year with them coming out once a quarter for treatment, that's $180 a visit with a $350 early cancellation fee. I called up the day before my contract expired to tell them I wasn't going to renew for another year yet because the bugs in the winter months are not that bad and expected to pick up the service again in the spring. The representative said there would be a $350 cancellation fee unless I waited till the next day. Apparently, I had to call on the very last day of the contract to cancel. Bare in mind, all monthly fees have been paid and now more services could have been provided, they just wanted an additional $350 dollars. Poor business practice in my opinion. The cost of treatment is pretty high as well. For the price Alta was charging me I could use a gallon of pesticide every week and the fire ant bait every 2 months and it would still be cheaper than there 4 applications. (Lowe's carries everything I needed) To sum up, if you can't do it yourself and money is not a concern for you then they have a good product. On the other hand, if you don't like a "gotcha" contract and want "good value" for your money then look elsewhere.

A few times they never even showed up for the appt. I got a full time job back in November of 2025 and asked them to note in the system that servicing needed to be done on weekends only. Kept getting texts saying they were booking me for weekdays when I already told them no one was going to be home. I tried to cancel multiple times and they wouldn't let me, promising me they would only schedule me for weekend servicing. After every treatment, I noticed more insects everywhere. They told me that happens because of the spray and I would see less eventually. The insects never went away. Never even saw a dead one in the house, just more live ones. Pretty sure they just spray sugar water everywhere. I only kept them around because my rental agreement required me to have a pest control company. I finally was able to cancel because the card I was using for payments expired. If you have a serious pest problem, look elsewhere. Not reliable, not convenient, not getting the job done.

Renzo (Lorenzo Prude did an excellent job within the somewhat odd changes in business practices concerning prior notification on the date and the time window a technician is scheduled to service our property (hence the loss of one star). We noticed this during our prior service on 12/29/2025 and was told those coukd be supplied on request. So I requested. From email correspondence with Bulwark on 12/29/2025 "I have updated your account. Moving forward when we schedule an appointment for you we will have a time window given to you. However in practice this far this was lip service by Bulwark. We've had multiple prior issues with lip service with Bulwark which is why I'm not happy all my prior reviews have disappeared. This service again gave poor notice despite what can be seen. Here's email correspondence with Bulwark on 2/24/2026. Bulwark "We have removed windows with all our services, and our service pros text or call when they are about 30 minutes prior to arrival. However if you would like a window we will make sure that is noted on your account moving forward." My response "Yes I would like a window" We will see what transpires on and before our next scheduled service. If this simple service can't be provided (as was done previously and changed without any notification to us) I'm serious about taking mying term business elsewhere. There's plenty of competitors in sunny San Antonio for this to be a more chronic issue beyond what's already started.
