Terminal bar has a great ambiance inside Denver's historical Union Station. Drinks are great but wow it can get so busy.

Bonus - (apparent) variety of beer. Cool look. At Union, so if you're taking a bus or train, there ya go. Negative - Variety of beer isn't actually that impressive. And a lot of it is overpriced. Bartenders are mostly rude too. I once pointed out that a beer was off - one I'd had before at the brewery in question - and the first thing the bartender (perhaps manager?) that came over to assist his fellow coworker said was - "Which beer is it that's too good for you?" This was not said in a joking manner. I get jokes. I make terrible ones. This was just plain douche material. On top of that, after he took me a bit more seriously, he then proceeded to shift the blame to the brewery. Sure, they might have sent out a shitty keg, but you guys are responsible as well for ensuring the quality of what your customer consumes. In a nutshell - any sort of critique is taken with great affront, for a product that elsewhere is both better priced and better quality. read more

Probably the worst service I've seen in a while. I was seated at a dirty table and sat there 15 minutes with no service. 5 bartenders an 6 wait people for 10 tables. Who runs this place anyway? read more

A very relaxed atmosphere in a great location. They have plenty of local beers on tap from $5-$8 per pint. Quick and friendly service and well crafted cocktails as well. read more

Huge variety of craft beers, plenty of open seating, free shuffleboard, amazing atmosphere and vibe.

I haven't eaten their food but I stopped by to get a drink on a bike ride around town. The atmosphere is cool and I love the decor. I had an old fashioned, which was good but not remarkable. I've also had wine. It's about what you'd expect. Service was good. read more

Came in with some girlfriends and had the best time! Our server was a sweet girl with curly red hair (named Stacy or Cece?) and she talked us through all the cocktails on the menu so we could each find one we would like. She helped us pick some great snacks (their pretzel bites are to die for) and even gave us recommendations on where to go after we left. She made every part of our visit amazing! Every staff member that came to our table was friendly and helpful and we didn't have anything we didn't like. We will be back! Thank you terminal bar! read more

I would give it a 5 for atmosphere but the bartender was the cheapest any of had ever witnessed! I had a beer (a $4 happy hour beer) served in a glass that had several fresh chips in it- which I found out by consistently getting my lip caught on them. I had already had about three sips. When I told the server she said we will just take that and get you a full beer. She came back with a new glass but beer poured down to the line where I had drank it to. She made a point of saying the bartender made sure to pour new beer but not a full glass since I had already had some out of the other. How crass read more

Meh, yeah so it's a bar. It's trying for that old school train station feel. Bartenders in best and ties (hipster shit) they have plenty of decent local Colorado beers. They use butters to make their signature cocktails (again hipster), it's not a bad feel or time, be prepared to wait for a drink though. Bar management is not their strong suit. But plenty of people and plenty of a good time. read more

I've never sat at the bar here or in any of the seating - rather I've always ordered drinks from the walk up window and enjoyed the sights and sounds of union station from one of the many seats inside the great hall... it's certainly nice to drink and chat at your leisure in an amazingly restored historic train station.. quite the experience. read more

Nice vibe. Slow, slow service. We just wanted a beer but took forever (15 min) to take our order. Then another for the brewskies to be delivered. The lovely server explained that some other servers skipped out on their shift so they were short staffed. (Geez that never happens in a bar, what's plan B?) She did comp our first round (2 beers). We then moved outside and when it came time to pay there was some confusion about what we owed. Apparently the tablet order taking system can't do all the work of a real server. Attention management, you can't just dress young women up in black outfits, give them a tablet and send them out: some training would be good too. Won't be back for a while, too many places around that know how to do it right. read more

My new fav bar in Denver. I'm a fickle bitch so we'll see next week, but for now this is the place to be, be seen. This has upscale drinks, and the joy of a giant courtyard fully of breeders and offspring to contend with. Fun! Enjoy the novelty whether you are fun, or making the trek from the burbs to escape sadness! Be here! read more

My picture standing was taken at Terminal a couple of years ago. I have not found another Terminal Bar anywhere I have been show far. In Chattanooga, some Bars Downtown due not open till 4 pm. My Father says, I'm in the Bible Belt, guess that is why. I am not big on feelings, but I do miss my time there. read more

The Service was extremely slow but waitstaff staff very friendly. MOD was named Marcel and was a bit overwhelmed. I did witness an exchange with Marcel and some customers that was a bit unprofessional on the manager's part. A bar manager should handle himself in a more professional manner in my opinion so a bit disappointed in the leadership at this account. Drinks were tasty but slow. I cannot recommend the account at this time. Save your time and money and go to The Thirsty Lion or Machete! read more

Terminal Bar has the potential to become a Denver icon. Tucked at the back of Union Station, Terminal offers dark leather booths, a long polished bar, high ceilings and subdued lighting. When the bar is busy, expect to stand. As an alternative, you can sit outside on long beer-garden style benches. The bar is stocked with an appropriate blend of Colorado beer and liquor, among other usuals, and staffed with efficient and knowledgable men and women. read more

Very nice place inside Union Station. Casual & comfortable. They brought water to the table in a jug so you could refill yourselves. I liked that. I got the Caesar salad with chicken & tomato bisque. The bisque was just ok but the salad was great. It's was large & they didn't skimp on croutons, cheese or chicken. And the chicken was very good. My son got the chicken schnitzel fingers which were delicious. There were several large pieces & the breading was so good! Not your typical chicken fingers. They weren't greasy either. I didn't order any alcohol but the bar was very busy. Good service too. read more

Service in the ticket window bar is very very slow. But love the beer selection, lots of craft beers made right here in Colorado.

Had an impromptu morning breakfast and Mai Tai's , Stacy the manager is wonderful, bartenders are very knowledgeable and friendly, we will definitely be back again. Five stars all the way around read more

This was my first time back in Denver since I was 12. It had been a horrible day so far as I got stuck unexpectedly here because of an unexpected flight cancellation for my connecting flight to New Orleans. If it was not for the waitress/hostess named Christina I would definantly have concluded that Denver sucks. She came up to me and with actual interest asked me about my day. I spilled my guts about the awful day and the counselor that I am became the counseled. We were able to talk for several minutes until she was called away to help other customers. She would excuse herself ever so politely to assist with guests. She would then come back and we continued without any normal lag in conversation. She provided the history on this space and made the mundane interesting. She was always polite even to the couple of customers I would have thrown out or punched in the face. So I raise my glass to you Christina and I say to your boss make her the manager or get her ready for the manager position and a raise for SURE!!! read more

We just sat down to eat ice cream with the kids and ended up ordering drinks. The drinks were great! My daughter was dressed as Ariel and the waitress complimented her then brought over a friend to also compliment her on being a pretty Disney princess. It's difficult to find service like that. It made my daughters day! read more

This is a cool place to grab a beer and catch up with a good friend. The vibe is very good. Good craft beer selection and the appetizers are ok as well. Not expensive either. read more

We took the train downtown for a fun family adventure with our 4 yr old. Grabbed an ice cream at milkbox and popped over to The Terminal for a beer. The menu looked great so we ordered early dinner. Great selection of craft beers. Soft pretzel with cheese was hot and fresh. Deviled eggs were fresh and tasty and my chicken wings were perfectly cooked and crispy good. This was a perfectly off peak time and the weather was amazing on the shady afternoon patio. I'd do Sundays here again in a second. Great jo! read more

At Union Station, the Terminal Bar is beautifully designed. It's a great place to people watch - from wary travelers with their wheels-bags coming through terminal to uber-hipsters at the bar enjoying cocktails, beer and what looked to be delicious bar food. We had a couple happy hour beers and watched the world go by... read more

The outside patio is great for people watching. The street tacos and ska beer were good.

Cool bar to stop in while traveling or just to hang out! They let you get a drink and can take it through the entire terminal. Laid back and casual atmosphere. Huge rotating tap list with 95% beers local to Denver or CO. They even have the "Union Station" by DBC on tap. The bar itself resembles 1920s kinda feel and on the weekends is usually packed. Definitely stop in if you're in the area! read more

I came in on a sunny day craving a beer. There were plenty of other people who had the same idea and the place was pretty busy. The bartender CLAYTON saw that I was parched and let me try a few beers to ensure I found the perfect match. He went above and beyond the regular bartender and even suggested a pretzel, the pretzel was bomb. I am extremely satisfied and would return again. read more

My boyfriend and I had some time to kill in between check-out and check-in of the places we were staying and this place did not disappoint. It was comfortable and the food looked good! We didn't get food because we had a big breakfast, but the beer was so good. Our waitress was very good and nice and she gave us a list of places to visit while we were in Denver. Would definitely have a drink there again. read more

I couldn't wait to try this place as I love the space and decor. We went on Saturday when the station had its opening day so the place was very busy but they had a lot of staff serving customers. The spicy Bloody Mary was awesome and the beer selection pretty big. The service at the bar was a bit slower than at the tables. I can't wait to go back read more

We were exploring Union Station and found this cute bar! We ordered a few drinks at the window and played some Shuffleboard in the middle of Union Station. Great atmosphere and loved our experience here! read more

Loved my oceans gravity drink. This place is so fun. And a great place to people watch.

Awesome drinks and great for happy hour! Try the punch or the sloe gin fizz if you like sweet and fruity!

The ambience gets a 4-5 star, hands down. They architects and designers did an incredible job with the transformation of the Union Station. The bar was just so-so. The service is all I can really speak for because I only ordered a vodka soda which they didn't manage to mess up. The serve even the well cocktails in nice glasses with a carefully cut slice of citrus. The server was stress, unapproachable and not timely. For this, I give them a 2 star rating. I would go back with less expectations and enjoy a beverage to give them another chance. read more

I like this place. Very classy. Personal service is very friendly and drinks are made STAT! Seems to always be a buzzing crowd which is nice while sipping a lovely cocktail. Just moved here a d love this area! read more

Terminal Bar is a lively, boisterous and super-cool space in the recently renovated Union Station. Grab a local brew or a cocktail at the bar, if you can find room. If not, there are a limitless amount of benches and tables right outside. read more

Super crowded, I guess that's partially from the new-ness of it and partially because it is centrally-located. Good drinks, OK service (I think they were a bit overwhelmed when we were there) and neat atmosphere. I'll go back again, but maybe at a quieter time. read more

It's really just a-ok. Decent drinks, $10 a pop. It's a nice space and has a good beer selection. I saw that there was a menu but I don't think the food is Terminal's -- I think it comes from other vendor in Union Station. Either way, it's nice that they serve food and from the looks of it, the prices were fairly low. I'd go back but I think there are better places to get a drink. read more

The bartenders pride themselves on taking their time to pour your wine. Bring snacks to enjoy while you stand in line or right at the bar, maybe a good book too. They have a good selection, but no matter what you choose or your place in line, plan for a lengthy wait. read more

Perfect location at Union Station, which is why it gets 5 Stars -- dat's all folks. Love the Terminal Bar.

I met my lunch companions at the bar for a drink Friday afternoon before heading to our lunch destination. We had a birthday in the bunch so some champagne cocktails were in order and they were delicious! The atmosphere is great. We had the most attentive and beautiful blonde (male) bartender. He was extra sweet and attentive to the birthday girl which was a big plus! I will be back I'm sure! read more

I was really disappointed in the service when I went for happy hour. I was really looking forward to relaxing with a friend in their awesome outdoor seating but it took almost 15 minutes for anyone to greet us. Our wine came out quick however the server neglected to check on us for our next round so I continuously had flag him down every time we wanted to order...even for the check. Maybe it was a new server so I'll give them a second chance. read more
