AMAZING food! So flavorful, delicious, and satisfying my cravings! Everyone is so kind here, very knowledgeable about the menu too! I love the open kitchen concept to see how the delicious food is prepared and beautifully presented! There is something here for everyone at affordable prices with generous portions! Everything also smells delicious! I can't wait to come back!

The honey teriyaki chicken is fire!! It's so flavorful and tender. I am willing to drive out here from South Sacramento for this here meal.

Thai chicken

Absolutely amazing. Food was delicious and made to order. Pretty sure the woman cooking the food was the owner and you can tell she makes every plate like she is serving people in her home. Got the Thai chicken, spicy tuna crunch roll, and some potstickers and honestly, best pot stickers I've ever had. Thai chicken was perfect balance of spicy and flavor, portion size was perfect. Literally nothing bad to say. You know a place is good when you are so excited to eat you only get one picture.

So my family and I saw a Teriyaki sign and stopped for a bite to eat on our way to town. It was super clean inside we were greeted with smiles, the food is outstanding for the price and you get a lot of it. I will definitely try to make my way over here again when I come to town .

Thai Chicken Plate

Great service every time. The food portions are great and are consistent. The Thai chicken is my favorite, it's very flavorful with a nice kick.

Dried up fried spicy chicken. The rest is in the trash.

My experience, not good. The initial customer service was fine. I even left a tip on a take out order. I get home tonight and we have piles of mushy rice. The spicy chicken was old, dry and too crunchy to be edible. I called within minutes of opening my order and had to tell 3 people what my complaint was. All I asked for was a refund for 1 meal, not even all. I tell person #2 I cannot drive all the way back there, I was just there with my child and now I have to figure out more dinner. Person 3 gets on the line and says you can come back with the food and we'll make it fresh. No. It should have been made fresh the first time. All i got was thats too bad, thats our policy. So disappointing. To pay $50 and to have everyone dissatisfied.

I'm so glad I came here instead of Subway not only was there customer service exceptional but their food was amazing. Thank you guys., love the beautiful decor as well nice and peaceful, best decision

Really heavy use of sauce, oddly salty there are some grocery stores I'd rather get sushi from. Will not come here again.

Tasty food, great service, cool decor, good prices. It would be 5 stars but it's 90 degrees and no air conditioning on.

The fish was exceptional and the Sacramento roll was delicious even though we usually only go for nigiri it was a roll I will definitely be getting when we return. TT stood out because it was fresh, tasty, and a good portion size. Some places make small pieces or use way too much rice. Not here. We started with the Special Scallops appetizer. Lots of fresh scallops in a little bit of chili oil with micro greens. The scallops were real scallops and not the small, chewy bay scallops. The texture was great and the scallops were fresh and the dab of chili oil brought out that yummy flavor. We ordered 4 rolls and were stuffed. We all thought they were a great value because of the size, the fish to rice ratio, sauce that accented the fish instead of replacing the flavors, and just a good value for the price. I really enjoyed them all but the soccer named CR7 and Very Messi rolls where my favorites. East Sac and Sunshine are refreshing with a touch of lemon. Of the two, I enjoyed East Sac more. The restaurant was packed even for a Saturday lunch. Good thing we made reservations. They are on the AMEX Resy app and it is definitely worth making the reservation if you get the credit. They don't take same-day reservations. They have a patio, dining room, and sushi bar. We all loved it and it was approved by my two high school daughters. We'll be heading back.

I've been to Karai twice! I wish I had written a review the first time, but never got around to it,…read moreso now here it is! I came here with a friend and wanted to come here partly because I remembered the fish being very fresh and presentation being nice. We came on a weekday evening and there was two other tables here. It is a smaller restaurant in terms of space, but clean and modern appearing. The server was very nice and they offered complimentary items including miso soup, salad, and a generous scoop of ube ice cream. We ordered two rolls (sea steak roll and happy lemon roll) and a large sashimi. Large sashimi - fish was very fresh, there was a variety, they were thick cut slices. Presentation was pretty. It had a dried bamboo slice with "karai" burnt into it and two little lucky cat figurines. It had the shredded radish or something as the bed, shisho leaves, and seaweed salad. Sea steak roll - I liked the chili oil on here. The chili oil had a depth to it that left a lasting spice on the tongue, more so than the average chili oil. Happy lemon roll - I chose this roll cuz I wanted the lemon taste. Some slices didn't have the lemon on there, but this roll was also heavy on the sauce which was sweet. I didn't really care for this roll as much. Miso soup - had chunks of enoki mushroom stems, otherwise a straightforward soup. Salad - Had baby spring mix but also heavy on the dressing which was a creamy kind (tasted like the happy lemon roll sauce). It was topped off with tortilla strips. Ube ice cream - scoop size was generous, and it came with some whipped cream. It tastes like it was from Gunthers! Ube taste was good. Ice cream was creamy, and not too icy. I really hope Karai sticks around because it wasn't so crowded the times I've now been here!

I love a lemon salmon roll, so I was happy to see the citrus salmon roll on the menu. I appreciate that the salmon was on the thicker side. I do wish there was a more citrus added versus just having some lemon shavings. The sacto roll is more on the unique side since I never had a roll that had chili crunch on it. It was a nice contrast while complimenting the fish. I liked how this roll had shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, salmon, and hamachi. Two rolls was plenty for me to feel full! I definitely will be ordering from here again and hope I get to dine in soon.

Starting off with the Genki Loco Moco, it is such a great dish! Price is around $22, but the portion is large. I can eat, but I always take leftovers home. It is presented very beautifully. With a large portion of rice at the bottom, with tornado egg. Topped with green onion and Japanese spice, there is also the Japanese styled hamburger patty (pork and beef). On the side of the meal, there is brown gravy. To top it off, a steak knife, (edible) flower, and salad. My rating for this dish is a 9/10. This is an amazing dish. Each time I come back, I order this dish. I love being able to take more home, and the fusion is flavorful. The customer service was 10/10!!!! The server remembered us even though we were quiet and kept to ourselves. She offered me water and a seat while I waited for my takeout order. Overall very attentive and kind crew. The location is not bad. There are thrift shops around, so if there's ever a wait, you can go thrifting! I never had to wait, so I'm hoping that'll change! Please give this place a try everyone!

I searched on Google and found this place…read more It's a cute little restaurant with lights of windows giving lots of nature light which I love so much. I went on a weekday around lunch time so I was empty and quiet... Love it. Since I was meeting my friend, it's nice to have the place to ourselves. Food/drinks: Thai Tea: love it! I like that they didn't put it in a regular cup. Crispy Pork Belly: it was okay. I was craving for crispy Pork Belly. I am use to the traditional crispy pork belly. This one is drenched in a sweet sauce which I know most people will like; however, I am just not a big fan of sweet pork. My friend love it though. Basil Ground/minced chicken: We enjoyed this dish. However, the same thing for me, it was a bit sweet for my taste. Gyoza: it was pretty good Service: the male server, was welcoming making our visit a better one. I definitely need to come back to try other food since there are so many good food options.

Pipo Ramen and Rice…read more I've been wanting to try Pipo Ramen and Rice since 2023, when it was ranked #11 on Yelp's list of places to eat in the Sacramento area. I've driven past this spot countless times but somehow never made it in, until now! I stopped by on a Saturday before noon, and the restaurant was pretty quiet, with only a few tables occupied. The interior is modern, clean, and well kept, making it a nice spot for a casual meal. After looking over the menu, we decided on the Pad Thai with Shrimp (medium heat) and Panang Curry with Chicken (medium heat). While ordering, our server also recommended the Pipo Salad, essentially their take on papaya salad. They offer it Lao or Thai style, and we went with the Thai style with mild heat. Once the food came out, the first thing I noticed was the portion sizes, everything was much bigger than I expected, especially considering the reasonable prices. These are definitely portions that are easy to share family-style. The Pipo Salad had tons of flavor, and I really enjoyed being able to taste the vinegar and fish sauce. One thing to note, though: I ordered it mild, but this ended up being the spiciest dish on the table! I'd say the heat was closer to a medium, while the Pad Thai and curry were much milder. The Pad Thai was solid. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the flavor was there. The Panang Curry was good, although I personally wished both the Pad Thai and curry had a little more heat. Luckily, our server brought out some condiments, including Thai pepper fish sauce, which was excellent with the curry and gave it the extra kick I was looking for. Overall, I'd definitely recommend giving Pipo Ramen and Rice a try. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and there's a good variety of dishes I'm looking forward to exploring on my next visit. My only real complaint is that the spice levels seem a little inconsistent. I wanted my Pad Thai and curry to be spicier, but at the same time, I didn't want my mouth completely on fire. Hopefully I can find that perfect balance next time! Would I come back? Absolutely. I've still got plenty of the menu to work my way through!
