No need to go to the malls anymore to get my chicken teriyaki with rice, this place really does make it great. Super fresh and the chicken nicely cooked. This was very satisfying. I only had the chicken teriyaki so I don't know about the rest of the food. This is also why I rated only a 4 star first. I will for sure re-rate the place once I have tried some other items. The lady that took my order was also super friendly. They have very good prices!

I was craving chicken teriyaki, so we ordered take out from Terikayi Monster due to the good reviewed. We ordered the chicken teriyaki with white rice, and the general tso's chicken lunch special with fried fice and a size of wonton soup. Overall both dishes tasted mediocre. The fried rice was a little bland, there wasn't much sauce on the teriyaki, and the wontons tasted weird... It just wasn't what I expected and wanted in terms of flavor. The only thing that makes up for this is the good portion size.

I cannot stress enough how much I love these guys! It's literally a hole-in-the-wall Chinese takeout spot, but let me tell you why they're great. Their chicken and shrimp teriyaki combo is CONSISTENTLY good, slightly crisped on the outside while remaining moist on the inside. Plates are never over-sauced, so you don't get that sickeningly salty-sweet taste that other places do. Protein, protein, protein! It's the quickest, easiest, and cheapest post-workout meal in the area if you're tracking your macros. I highly recommend picking up from here yourself, because delivery will almost guarantee it arrives soggy.

I used to buy food from here all the time. I found half of a bug in my food. GROSS!! Never again buying from here!

Chicken Broccoli Bento Box is very highly recommended and for the price you get a decent amount of food.

Food was made to order; nice and fresh. They give a good amount of food for each meal. Spend $30 and get a free general tso chicken which was also delicious. I'll definitely be coming back.

Teriyaki chicken over rice. Looks amazing but can't judge a book by its cover.

Their teriyaki chicken is mediocre, matter of fact, worse I ever had. But the ironic thing is that it should be their best item as their name and advertising suggests. Their other menu options are great though. Their beef chowfun was one of the best chowfun I had. Their bubble tea also is such a great deal, it's like a medium size for just 3 bucks and they all taste great. Their scallion pancakes are chewy and taste good. Basically a lot of their other options are just delicious but their teriyaki rice combo just tastes bad. The chicken tastes eggy flavor almost like shrimp. The texture is bad, very soggy and it does not go well with the rice. The rice is also terrible. It tastes kind of rocky and doesn't have that much of a flavor. Vegetables taste raw.

Their lunch specials are quite good, notably the teriyaki chicken and chicken&broccoli. The only thing is that the rice is overcooked and mushy so it really lowers the quality of what would otherwise be a 5 star meal.

Really solid takeout food! The Chinese options such as the Lo mein, orange chicken, sweet n sour soup, fried cheese wontons were all yummy! If you are in the mood for some fried chicken wings and French fries it was actually surprisingly good! So crunchy. The food was delivered hot and the fries were so nice and crisp! The women that work at the establishment have always been friendly. The lady that answers the phone is always helpful and nice. The delivery driver was also very pleasant.

But this place completely knocked it out of the park. It far exceeded everything we anticipated. We were seated in a private booth, which made the experience feel even more authentic and intimate. Every dish that came out was absolutely delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and beautifully presented. They even provided a bell to press for service, and each time, the server appeared almost instantly with a warm smile. It's clear the owner and management truly know how to create and run a successful business--from the attention to detail to the seamless service and overall experience. For a moment, it truly felt like we had been transported back to Japan. An unforgettable dining experience.

For our food we ordered the hako sushi, tornado omelette fried rice, trio tuna sushi roll, yakitori platter (ordered chicken gizzard and gyu harami on the side) and the A5 Wagyu cooked on the stone grill. I recommend getting the yakitori platter as it's a nice sampler but my husband especially enjoyed the chicken gizzard. My dad never had wagyu before so he especially loved the wagyu but I do think it's expensive for the amount they give you, I can see why it's pricier but just know before you order it's like $45 for 2.5 oz or in our case about 5 thin slices of wagyu. My brother said the tornado omelette was tasty and filling and he enjoyed it. The trio tuna sushi roll was very fresh. As for the service, I think everyone was pleasant but the vibes were a little off, it seems like they were just very exhausted. This doesn't affect the quality of the food or the experience but it was just something I noticed. They were still very attentive and provided great service. The reason for the one star off is because I do wish the Hako sushi had a bit more flavor, I saw so many different ingredients and fish but none of the flavors were impactful, it was rather one dimensional which was disappointing because it was presented so beautifully. Overall, I recommend giving Izakaya nana a try and I would definitely go again to try other things.

We came on a Saturday at opening time and they were open but some things were not ready yet. The service was fast and efficient, just like how we like it, and the restaurant is nice and spacious, lots of table and can accomondate lots of people. This restaurant is very close to the style of restaurants in China, lots of free stuff that comes with the hot pot buffet package like free fruits, drinks, snacks, side dishes etc. which was really nice, really enjoyed their free jasmine milk tea. The menu was slightly confusing but nothing you can't navigate, the initial course of the wagyu meat was very very good, and the rest of the meat were very good as well, all thinly cut and fresh. We got the gold package and the seafood platter was impressive too. My husband doesn't eat seafood and I wanted to try their seafood so we both got the gold package but couldn't finish most. The side dishes like wagyu sushi and bone marrow were really delicious as well. Some issues I had was that it took forever and ever for the food to come out when it's ordered from the kitchen, when there isn't that many filled tables, and when you have a 90 min time limit to dine, I would expect things to come out quickly. Also, we would order stuff from the menu and some of them would just never come... until the waiter tells us that we can grab them ourselves from the side dish section, then why have it on the menu at all to be ordered...? These new restaurants are fun and this one was good enough I probably would come back, but some of these small details make me prefer the older/more traditional restaurants in flushing.

We are very familiar with the area and must have walked passed this neatly tucked away gem without ever noticing it. Our son had mentioned that he and his friends have been going to a sushi place near Asian Jewel, our former dim sum go to place. When we sat down to order, my wife and I were quite impressed by how clean and cozy the restaurant was. Kind of on the small side with a few tables on the ground floor level. The menu offered cooked food as well as fresh sushi. We decided to start with the sushi & sashimi combo. They also offered a sushi or sashimi a la carte menu where you can choose to order by the piece. I believe that if you choose one of their standard menu sushi or sashimi orders and pay with cash, the a la carte price per piece of sushi / sashimi is only $1.35 / piece! Well we were famished and in addition to the sushi & sashimi plate we ordered two rounds of sushi & sashimi a la carte. Their salmon and yellow tail was so fresh and so scrumptious as was the sweet shrimp. The tuna was also very yummy and did not disappoint! When all was said and done we were quite happy with our experience with Yoi Sushi Japanese. I highly recommend Yoi if you're anywhere near Tangram Mall or Asian Jewel and have a hankering for yummy sushi. They also offer cooked food as well as ramen bowls.

It is $165 for a 13 course - it also comes with appetizer and dessert as well. The place is located inside Siam Thai - behind a bookshelf, the vibes are immaculate back there. The chief was so friendly and took his time to explain each dish to us and also took time to chat with us which I thought was really nice especially since I have mainly been to "fast casual" omakase locations recently where they don't really chat with you. There was a good variety of appetizers, fish and dessert. The appetizer options were so unique and the platting was so pretty. The fish options were also very plentiful and I liked the topping that they put on top of each one, the rich was not as warm and soft as I would usually like it but they paired well with the fish. The portion sizes were also pretty large which I thought was nice especially since we were paying about $165 a person. If you are getting sake, they do let you sample the sake before opening the whole bottle. The presentation of the opened sake was also so fancy. Overall - if you want a more traditional omakase experience, I highly recommend checking this place out. The vibes are immaculate and you will have a good time chatting with the chef while enjoying your food!

Service did match up to the price tag and we were treated well but the fish quality was very mediocre. Some pieces were overly warm and did not taste that fresh. The rice was often falling apart. There were the basic chutoro, salmon, otoro fish but no other fish was unique. There were only 13 courses and it felt that they were reusing ingredients because we had uni and caviar multiple times. One dish was uni, caviar, and white rice which felt like a cop out considering uni was a separate course. I did not need uni 3/13 courses provided as someone who enjoys uni. This place is comparative to those $60-70 omakase but not reflective of $165. I went to Shota Omakase for $195 and the fish quality and selection were more diverse.
