I got the worst food poisoning of my life eating from this place. When I tell you I suffered last night, I mean I SUFFERED. I have been coming to this place since 2010. I even stuck with them after they were shut down for disgusting practices in 2017(my stupidity). The prices have gone way up and the customer service is non-existent. A double chicken bowl (not the meal, no drink, no egg roll) was 8.99 it's now 11.99 After being a bit shocked but realizing everyone is raising prices I asked for extra Teriyaki sauce due to the fact that what they give you is in a child size container and not enough for a child's bowl. Eating here possibly 80 times I know this by heart. The girl at the window told me "You have enough", my head about popped off my shoulders and I asked her how she knew what enough was for a 6' 300lb man? She gave me a deer in the headlights look while her brain was in overdrive about to short circuit. I said "how much do I have to pay for an adult amount of sauce?" She gave me another 4 little cups and I was on my way. This place does not deserve your business. A large soda is more than a 2Liter from the store and they have no AC or even ceiling fans in California during the summer heat. That was my last mistake at that place. read more

This place has been around as long as I can remember at least 30 years, maybe at times different owners, managers etc. Its one of those places though that hasn't changed flavor wise which is very hard to come by. That being said when you come to teriyaki King why would you order anything but teriyaki? if you do order anything else than yes you will be dissatisfied, Because teriyaki is there specialty. Order a chicken bowl with extra sauce and be done with it. My Sierra Mist tasted like chemicals, chowmein was barely edible, and the garlic chicken was all breading and no flavor. *Update 9/9/2017* I will not be going here again. A kind person pointed me to an article written just days ago about how the food at this restaurant is being improperly stored and rotting. Money well spent, and now I can get my grilled chicken and vegetables again! I get the #25 (double chicken). That's two lines of grilled chicken and some lovely steamed vegetables over rice. I ask for no rice most of the time and am obliged without a problem. Avoid the chow mein. It is not good. It is rather wet and oily and sits pretty heavily on your stomach. The re-model really can't help the gigantic dining room this place has, but it's still pretty inside, you can see they really tried to make it look nice. They are not blessed with the best view (Hatch Rd isn't that interesting) so make the most of your company (or your cell phone). The staff are friendly and kind. Have never had an issue with them. There is a drive through. Get there around 11:30am or wait until after 12:45pm or you'll wait a while. This place usually has a line around lunch time. Swing wide to the right after ordering then hard left. Skippers left them with the weirdest drive through angles. It's a nice place to grab a healthy meal. The meal I buy lasts for 3 other meals. Just adding to what several other people have recently posted about this restaurant. Don't eat here!! Just read the article on Fox 40 News Page. It stated that several employee's were told to rinse rotting food and still serve it. They also said they've obsevered maggots on cabbage, GROSS!!!! Cockroaches in various places all over the restaurant, including cooked rice, double GROSS!!! The Health Department has been there, and they clean and hide things before they arrive. This is my favorite place to go to when I want wontons and chow mein especially egg rolls, the best egg rolls I have ever had- no exaggeration!! The wontons are so creamy and crunchy and never soggy which I love about coming here for wontons!
