We were escorted to our table as we were admiring the atmosphere my boyfriend mentioned how the segment Nick revealed he acknowledges each table. We wondered if that was just for publicity and laughed it off.. To our pleasant surprise, Nick the owner came to our table twice!!! Very sweet gentlemen.. Julie was our server, sharp professional and attentive. Carly the bar tender who was exceptional!!! She came over to our table to pay a compliment. Very friendly and personable. Carly made am amazing pear martini & espresso martini.. Carly also checked on our table twice.. Neither were intrusive.. The atmosphere was very inviting and friendly.. They all appeared to work together as a team. While the night was very busy (Saturday) Julie was placing our order and without missing a beat or without any prompting Carly brought over our first cocktails, felt like a family.. As we were leaving one of the waiters had approached us and discussed the game when we were taking a sneak peak on the screen at the bar. My wife and I tried Teresa's as kind of a spur of the moment decision. Made a reservation via Open Table. Arrived and we were promptly seated. The waitress arrived quickly and reviewed the menu and took the drink order. Caesar Salads, (we forgot to say "hold the anchovies") and the fishy taste permeated the entire salad. When the waitress noticed my wife had barely touched hers, she did remove it from the bill. We both ordered Filet Mignon. Steaks were tender, but on the dry side and both were charred on the outside. My baked potato was pretty hard, and I had to ask for sour cream. No offer by the wait staff for sides with the baked potato and I found that disappointing in a quality steakhouse. I asked for a glass of wine to be brought with my meal and it never arrived. The waitress did mention she had only been there a few weeks so perhaps that's the explanation. Overall I would rate the service as a C+. She also left the salad plates way too long on the table. The menu includes two sides with each entree, however there was a $2.00 charge for the house steak sauce. I found that strange. I will probably try this place again, as I believe even quality restaurants have an off night. read more

Went to this restaurant on New Year's Eve, service was spotty at best. Waitress perhaps had too many tables to cover. When dinner was finally served my steak was half the size of same orders delivered to our table. My steak was ordered medium and was well done. Showed the waitress she agreed it was overcooked, removed it back to the kitchen. Everyone else began to eat and the waitress came by again and I told her the service was not good tonight. She asked if there was something she could do and I said it's very awkward sitting and watch everyone else eat. She said she she would try to get something from the kitchen and brought back the vegetables that came with the dinner and when the steak did come it was under cooked and excepted it grudgingly . Wish I could speak of consistency, but I can't. I gave this place rave reviews the beginning of the year, after having a fabulous dinner. The dinner I had previous to that one was just Meh, but I figured the place was new and finding its bearings. But this last meal I had was so sub par, I wanted to voice my concern and told Adam, the bartender how I felt, he told me the hostess handles the complaints. When I voiced my concerns to the hostess, that it just wasn't the meal I came to expect, she just shrugged her shoulders, was not at all interested in having me elaborate. I do truly feel sorry they are not interested in their customer's feedback, because I think they could learn so much. Just went here for my 25th birthday celebration dinner with my boyfriend. We spontaneously reserved a table for 8 pm which we realized was their closing time. We were hesitant about this, worried we might feel rushed, but that was far from happening. We received professional service, delicious food, and a complimentary birthday dessert. The table was the best in the house and I'm pretty sure we were walked both in and out by the manager asking how our service was and where we were from (out of town visiting Salem for birthday trip fun). For the price, it was pass-remarkable. Both starters were cold (likely sitting in the window) but tasty. Could have been a whole lost nicer. There was a large party in the same area where we were served and the wait time was unreasonably long as a result. The main courses were fantastic, but after a cold start, it's tough to recover. I will start by stating that everyone did enjoy the meal. But, as you can see I did not give it a 5-star rating. That is because going in at that price-point, our expectation was that it was going to be a 5-star experience. But the waitstaff was a bit inept. Sun/Mon/Tue there is a $69/couple special of prime rib or shrimp dinner, including salad, entre and desert. We had to ask about it, waiter did just tell us about the specials. We all got the special dinner. Waiter was not very professional but seemed to have trouble writing our order on his note pad. Every time something was delivered to the table, there was a small flurry of wait staff trying to get it done, but it was confusing because they did know who got what and one entre came with the wrong side. Mind you there were only 12 customers in the whole place so it is not like they were overloaded. But it did look like they were challenged to service those twelve. Maybe they were all trying to make our experience a good one, but it did call too much attention to their activities. Meals are delivered from the open kitchen directly into the dining room. But, it seemed that when a waitperson was getting us anything else like bread, coffee, etc. he/she had to go down the hall to some place far away. It didn't look like there was a service station in the room itself. At the price point we expectedimpecable service and TP did fall short on this point. The salads and side all sounded interesting. Spinach salad was tasty but missing the advertised pomogranite seeds. Ceaser salad had anchovy of a European type which are not salty. So the salad taste did not have the punch expected. Also their Ceaser salad had too much white stalky parts and not enough green leafy parts. All made for a rather bland salad which was not to the taste of this customer. They did like the accompanying garlic toast. When ordering, the waiter informed me that the grilled artichoke hearts were marinated in-house then grilled. They seemed to be marinated but not grilled. Grandma's roasted mushrooms were actually sauteed. The waiter did not remove the bread dishes from the table and did not bring any silverware for the deserts. We used our coffee/tea spoons. I did not see a sign for "Restrooms". There was a sign for "Exit". Grandma went looking for the restroom. I watched as she walked to the Exit and inquired. There was the typical flurry of waitstaff activity. The waitress was going to show her to the restroom. Ok, I expected them to walk briskly across the diningroom to the other hallway. But, no, I was thinking to myself, why are they walking so very slowly? The behavior just seemed to be out of place. They were not conversing or anything. It just looked like delayed reaction as if waitress woke up half way across the dining room and became aware that the woman walking behind her wanted to go to the restroom. In spite of the confusion, everyone did think the food was very well prepared and tasty. The prime rib portion was generous at 16oz and it was tasty and tender. The stuffed shrimp consisted of four large shrimp with lots of lump crab meat. The side of prime gratin potatoes was especially cheeezy and delicious. On the question of recommendation, there is a more basic issue in that the menu is limited. Food choices are few and there is a veeeeerrrry long wine list. So if you are up for steak and wine dinner, then this may be for you. For a group, perhaps more food choices are prefered. read more

Four of us dined there...2 porterhouse steaks,1 ribeye and 1 lamb chop ..All the meats were superb and cooked as we ordered....the sides varied....corn with speck was a winner, creamed spinach was not (more spinach and less cream).... This new establishment was suggested to me by a friend for my wedding reception. My fiancé and I took a trip down there to check the place out, which by the way looks quite lovely from outside. I was pretty impressed with the place up until the manager took us out to the patio area which was going to be part of my reception as the wedding will take place in mid spring. I happend to eye two giant dead rats just hanging out under one of the tables. At this point I was grabbing my fiances jacket pulling for his attention as he is grabbing my arm which was later brought to my attention because he had discovered right over the fence we were near at the foot of the dumpster were a few live giant rats feasting. Man we ran out of that place faster than you can even say disgusting. Sorry I would never use this function hall, those rats were way too friendly. Yuck BEWARE! read more

Just held our daughters baby shower at Teresa Prime last Sunday afternoon. The event could not have been more perfectly organized and executed. From the initial planning meetings, it was apparent we were working with real professional that were committed to making the occasion a flawless and enjoyable time. All the staff added to the happiness of the day and even the owners participated to insure everything was great. All that attended were in awe of the monster sized shrimp cocktail under the stork ice sculpture and commented that this was the best shower they ever attended. Coat check process is ignored. Most patrons drape their bulky winter coats behind their chairs. We had to inquire about coat check and did check ours. Bartenders were quite busy but made a very good effort to stay engaged in assisting in our dining experience however, had to ask about the dinner specials to which we got a response of "Oh yeah". I love, love, love Teresa's on 114, so I was looking forward to Teresa's Prime. The waitress is required to explain the menu as if you are in kindergarten. My lemon drop martini had no lemon until I squeezed the lemon slice on the side of my cup. Onion soup over salted, did not complain because I knew my dinner companion would have complained, which always embarrasses me, but when my scallop entrée tasted disgustingly fishy, I did send it back. I got an order, half the price that was just OK and nothing special. a FREE dessert was brought to us, which neither of us care for chocolate cake, I would have thought the waitress would tell us she was offering a free dessert and ask us what we would like. First time at Teresa's was this past summer, the waitress was amazing as was the meal. Left thinking this was my new North Shore go to steak house , I was wrong. Tonight me and my wife called looking to have an early dinner. We were told 8:30 was first opening . Being that I liked it so much last time we took it and changed plans. Arrived and we were sat right away. Immediately I commented on how crowded and loud it was in there , was not at all like this in August. The bar was packed with loud drunk patrons , all who knew each other and were shouting at each across the bar . Our waiter came by our table within a few minutes of us sitting and filled our water glasses . A few minutes later and took drink orders . He brought our drinks and asked if we wanted an App. I ordered the French Onion Soup and my wife the house salad. Both were just so so. Also , we had to ask for bread and was given two stale dinner rolls - cold. Last time we had nice warm variety of bread in the basket , but I was there for steak so we ordered our entrees about 9pm - I got the ribeye , asparagus and prime au gratin potatoes- Caramelized onions , my wife order NY sirloin with load twice baked and asparagus. We waited about 40 mins for our food - the waiter came by and said sorry , there was a large party before you so things are backed up ( ???) OK - food arrives - first thing noticed is wife got a plain potato not twice baked . The server told waiter and he brought out another one right away ( are they pre -cooked?) the food on both our plates was not hot . It had definitely been sitting around somewhere. The steak were cooked correctly inside but outside was dry and burnt - this from a high end steak house ???? By this time we were so hungry we just ate it . My Au Gratin left something to be desired . The asparagus was good flavored but cold. We both ate some of our meals but did not enjoy it. We looked at the dessert menu but did not see anything worth waiting for so we asked for the check - $150.00 I don't mind paying $50 for a steak but it needs to be hot , not charred and I think, could not really tell , they mixed our steaks up. I get ribeye because I like the marbleized fat that gives a ribeye that unique flavor. This was not the case. Anyway - very disappointed in the meal and service - not so much with our waiter , he did his part but the cooks better learn how to handle a busy restaurant or find out quick that an empty restaurant is worse! Last night my wife and I had a 6.00 reservation for dinner for our 20th year anniversary everything was excellent. We arrived at 6.00 and we were seated in a cozy booth by the fire place. The restaurant was empty which was fine for us because it was quiet. Our servers Nik and Allen were attentive always checking on us we ordered drinks and shrimp appetizer that were outstanding. Our steaks and sides were cooked perfectly we were going to have dessert but couldn't eat anymore so I had an espresso to end the evening. The service was good. Our waiter(Nicholas) was very attentive. He made the evening very relaxed. The food was cooked perfectly. The only set back was the charge for the steak sauce. A bit strange to me. This definitely beats the first time my husband and I tried to eat here. We were told we weren't dressed appropriately for the dinning room and we could go downstairs where it was more casual. Tonight I bit my tongue. Phenomenal and not at all cheap. But worth it a couple of times a year or, if you have the bucks, more often. Not sure how this has only three $$$. The night we went -- this past Saturday -- the bill with tip was $100 per person. Definitely old-school quality and ethos, but without being dated. But, as I said, worth it if and when you can afford it. 1. Appetizers of tuna tartar and calamari among the best I've ever tasted, and I almost always try the calamari in a place. This selection was crispy and served with a slightly spicy, almost hoisin-like glaze. Unexpected but welcome. 2. Succulent oysters on the half-shell at just $2.50 a pop -- a surprising (and unique) bargain in the place. 3. Extensive wine selection, OK beer array and plentiful variety of hard liquor. 4. Entrees: steaks cooked to order and to perfection (a New York aged sirloin, a filet mignon, and a special "Flintstone's"-like 40 oz rib eye, all with a variety of enhancements (blue cheese, Oscar-style, au poivre, etc.), sauces, and accompaniments. I ordered the "steak fries" which seemed more baked than deep fried (or only flash fried), and were more like firm -- though tasty -- potato wedges. I was crossed up, but not disappointed. I would say, though, that the potatoes are a possible chink in the armor. Not bad, but nothing exceptional. Other entrees included lobster fra diavolo, and pan-seared scallops. 5. An interesting complement of vegetable sides, however. I ordered the baby (or Roman) artichokes, which were tender and flavorful and reasonably portioned. 6. Dessert -- we shared a s'mores-inspired sundae, which is just as good as you imagine. 7. Service: Impeccable, professional and even a little sexy. Classy and beautiful older hostess started things off right, and our waiter Dylan and the various runners were right on top of things, with a friendly but low-key manner. Really one of the best service experiences I've had in a very long time. 8. Ambiance: Classy, busy but generally serene on a Saturday night. One possible fly in the ointment was some raucous cheering at the bar -- a smallish rectangular well just off the main dining room -- for the Belmont Stakes (that some had clearly wagered on). A bit off-putting to the crowd -- generally aged 50 or 60+), but the eruption was short-lived, and everything cooled down. 9. Parking: Lots of it, with valet available, also. 10. Location: North Reading isn't necessarily the most handy place. Teresa's is on a very residential-looking end of Route 62 (nearly on the Middleton line), which on that stretch (as opposed to the busier part near Wilmington) is a winding blue highway with speed limits generally set in the mid-20s, and police at the ready. A good place to Uber to, if you catch my drift. Otherwise, be sure there's a designated driver. read more

Yum yum yum yum. Just got back from my first time at the Grill/pub. I had baked stuffed haddock with potato cake and asparagus. Delicious! Great selection of beer and wine and cocktails. I can't wait to go back! Friendly service. My daughter had the Boar's Head hot dog. It was large and she said the bun was nicely toasted and the fries were delicious too. Great addition to the area! Our second time at this restaurant and it just keeps getting better. Our server (Lindsay) was very knowledgeable and made some great suggestions. The Lamb was outstanding and the Filets were cooked to perfection! Nick, the owner is onsite and checks in with the diners to make sure their dining experience is complete. My Fiancee took me here for my birthday dinner on 6/1/16. I had the NY sirloin and she had the Filet. The NY sirloin was out of this world delicious so wasn't the filet. Robert our waiter was fantastic he was super friendly and very very knowledgeable and kept coming by the table to check on us and make sure we didn't need anything else.The waiter brought out deep fried oreos and cinnamon ice cream for desert to top it all off. I am shocked that this restaurant is not rated 5 Star. I wish I took photos of our 4 meals and dishes. The service was great. Friendly and down to earth. The ambiance was warm and lovely, with a gifted pianist playing in the background. We had 3 different cuts of meat and pistachio encrusted salmon...All fabulous. My NY sirloin was so flavorful and TENDER that I made sure my family knew my leftovers were not going to be shared. The guests also had truffle fries, butternut squash with mascarpone cheese (like silk), twice-baked pototoes, their specialty bacon, wedge salad and dressing...amazing...tender calamari, roasted corn and the adult beverages, according to our friends were awesome and generously made. The owner walked to each table greeting guests and stayed just long enough to show he cared about our experience. Price correlates with the quality of food and experience. Worth every penny.
