I give this place a solid A for effort. Unsurprised to see a review already that references KP;…read moreThey were definitely my internal gripe walking into the store. That and "someone is sitting there!" shouted by two reps at the front, followed immediately by a "how can we help you" that sounded a lot more like "how can we get you the f. out of here?" To any employee reading this, I'm sorry I walked in with an attitude. It was about 6 straight days on the phone dealing with a service issue: my phone received some texts and not others, and no photos. At a location in Sunset, we had already swapped the SIM several times. We put it in another device and the same issue happened. So I wasn't in this store to fix my service. It obviously was damaged somehow beyond repair, and only a conversion to the Magenta plan might clear things up. I took this to mean the honchos over at T-Mobile corporate got wise to the fact that my ONE plan was, in fact, actually unlimited, versus the metered "unlimited" plans now offered by all mobile carriers. I wanted to hold onto my ONE plan for dear life. But T Mobile, man, you've changed. Customer service at all levels was ranging from average to patently incompetent, they didn't know a resolution to something or couldn't do anything about it. They couldn't offer concessions to longtime customers. All they really had going for them was a pleasant demeanor.. ..except for KP, who seemed to have a stick permanently lodged up their butt. Still, KP offered to put in a different SIM with a Magenta plan on it, when I asked. Something about their demeanor and just my over-all experience, I told KP I just "needed a change" with plans to move to Verizon. I wish that was the end of it, but remember I couldn't receive text messages. So in order to keep your phone number, you need what's called a transfer PIN. And in order to get a transfer PIN, T-Mobile must send you a one-time PIN via text message. There's no other way to verify who you are, they do not do email. I'm over at Verizon trying to finish all this up, and no one at T-Mobile can help on the phone. They tell me I must go onsite and show my ID. So I head to the shop across the street from Verizon, and they tell me they are a third-party supplier. So then I thought, hey, you know which authorized retailer would be happy to see this face again?! KP. I was feeling my sado-masochist vibes. I walk in and explain the situation, and at first KP is like, "You're not going to like what I have to tell you- you have to log onto the T Mobile app to get your transfer PIN." Therefore needing the one-time texts I won't be getting! I just stared at KP and asked if they could call someone, which they did. On my way out, KP said, "I'm very sorry for the confusion" which honestly is the only moment that made me leave 4 stars today. Because this person does genuinely seem to have an attitude problem. But maybe that's because they're putting up with an epic amount of crap a day. Who knows. Anyway good riddance T Mobile! You sure tried to hang onto this one customer as long as possible. I wish you didn't go downhill in the pandemic.

I could swear the phone I got is refurbished. It's not a new phone. It's a piece of garbage that isn't worth $600+. My recommendation is to stay as far away as possible from Tmobile.

A month ago, my friend told me he wanted to switch from AT&T to T-Mobile because they offered him better terms and a free phone. I've been a Verizon customer for almost 3 years, and I told my friend that I could ask what Verizon could offer him and possibly add him to my family plan so we could all save money, since the more lines you have, the bigger the discount. I called Verizon, and the representative assured me that Verizon could match those terms (a free phone if my friend switched from AT&T). We received the phone, and a month later it turned out that it wasn't free. I called Verizon 10 times, and each time they assured me they would make it free, but nothing happened. Today, I asked to speak with a manager, and the manager told me he couldn't do anything and that the phone would not be free. I said that in that case I don't need the phone and that I had been deceived. The second situation: about a month ago my home internet device broke, and I went to this Verizon store to exchange it, but they closed my old line and opened a new one (I didn't know about this and didn't ask for it). Because of that, I lost my legacy (grandfathered) price and my loyalty discount. The manager wasn't very helpful here either, as he said he couldn't restore my previous terms. Please be extremely cautious with this company. Now we are looking to switch to T-Mobile because they treat their customers better and keep their promises.

After a stressful Sunday morning phone emergency, I knew a trip here was necessary for both my recreational and work lifestyle. I had a dinner engagement with friends that afternoon. How would I contact them? And with Monday being a workday, I was pretty sure there'd be work texts and calls that morning. I ordered my replacement that wouldn't arrive till ten days later. Yes, no cellphone for ten days is unfathomable. Stopping in a little after 1 pm, I saw a couple guys with T-Mobile shirts on. Ivan greeted me and I explained my situation. After unsuccessfully helping me restart my phone, he and I agreed the best alternative was to get a new phone to use. Twenty minutes later, I left the store with a phone that I could use in texting, calling, and receiving texts and phone calls. I stopped in later in the week enlisting Ivan's help in transitioning information. On Friday, I stopped in while the door was being repaired and Christian patiently helped me transition to my replacement phone. Big thanks to Ivan on my 1st two visits and explaining things and helping me plan the transition. Thanks to Christian for getting my new phone in order. This is still my go-to location.
