    Teppan bowls.

Little bit of a weight, but it was due to high traffic, which should tell you something. This is the best sushi I've ever had and they're teppan bowls absolutely rock. You can't go wrong with this place. This is a true hidden gem.

Got the special bowl and ate the WHOLE thing. Needless to say it was delicious. First time there n craving to go back

    Sweet Bacon Shrimp
    Ken T.

The food is fine. I ordered the Sweet Bacon Shrimp and the taste was average. The serving was good, a large amount of rice and a couple of shrimp. Nothing extra special. The sauce was tasty but the bacon fried rice didn't have a ton of flavor. I might be back to try something else but nothing that would make me go out of my way if I wasn't in the area. The service was initially good. Friendly. I made the mistake of thinking I could order in person since it was my first time. Wanted to see what was available. That was a mistake. The wait time is inordinately long and it didn't help that they might have forgotten my order and had to ask me again whilst I was sitting and waiting. The customer who was after me got his order first. Needless to say it was frustrating to have to wait so long. The cashier was gracious and offered me a free Thai tea or coffee which I declined. I was too annoyed. I went in around 1:15pm on a Monday and there was no line. Just disappointing. It'll be a while before I even entertain going back. Needless to say, order ahead and be prepared to wait.

They let the food burn into styrofoam releasing styrene

Figured I'd try them again since it's been years boy did I make a BIG MISTAKE. Very skimpy on chicken/rice was bland really lacking typical tepan style fried rice flavor . Not only that but would never order again as their food wasn't only disappointing it was a serious health concern. Unfortunately when I pulled out the leftover rice to put onto a microwave safe plate so i could eat the overpriced meal I paid for I noticed they put it in the styrofoam container WAY TOO HOT & it had melted into the container. The whole bottom of the container literally had rice burnt in covering the whole thing. Styrene is dangerous & I'm praying I don't get sick knowing that I ate some of the food before noticing. Please for your health check to see if the same thing happened to your order! I will never be ordering from this place again & am disgusted by their lack of concern for customers safety.

Shrimp bowl with side of steak & chicken

So impressed with this place. Placed an order on DoorDash last weekend and we were so impressed. We ordered 2 shrimp bowls and a side of chicken and steak. Fried rice is sooooo good. Sauces are bomb. Portions are big and enough for leftovers. We have found our new favorite place. It's

    Refund.

It's unfortunate that this place has a bad pattern in regards to communication and timely service. It's my second time going here since they opened up and I'm sad to say I'll probably never come here again due to my experience tonight. Someone stated in a previous review that this place is racist and I can assure you it's not. The workers here are simply careless and if you read the other reviews, many will agree. I put in my order around 7:28PM and the cashier, Bao, told my husband and I that it would be about a 20 minute wait. I ordered the New York steak, spicy chicken, and a strawberry boba. After hanging out in the sitting area for about 5 minutes, we decided to go out and wait in our car. As we left, Bao told us that she would send us a text to let us know when our food was ready to go. At 8:05PM, I called to check if my order was ready. The woman on the phone sounded confused as she looked for my order. She asked for my name twice and asked for the last four digits of my phone number 4 times. She couldn't find my order. My husband walked back in around 8:15PM to see what the problem was and said that everyone was just standing around while the cook was cleaning up his area. He asked a cashier with blonde hair if my order was ready and she was eventually able to find the boba in the fridge. She gave him the drink, went and spoke to the cook, and told my husband it would be ANOTHER 20 MINUTES. I went back in with my husband around 8:20PM to ask for a refund because waiting an hour for two bowls for a total of $40 was insane. I vividly heard the blonde cashier tell the cook, "They want a refund." The cook replied, "Well I'm making it right now but GO AHEAD." Attitude and all. Dude, you didn't start working on our order until I asked for a refund and you're annoyed with US? Ridiculous. I'm not sure if he's the owner or something but get yourself together. We're not at fault. Anyway, the older asian woman who I assume is the manager came out and said she would give us a refund but that we HAD TO pay for the boba because "it would be thrown away and go to waste." I wasn't going to argue with her. She voided my order and we left. Do better. If you clearly have a habit of long wait times, please let people know. Again, other reviews state this problem as well so good luck if you decide to go.

I have eaten here before, and the food was great. Large servings and very appetizing. This time, I was disappointed. The serving of rice was great. However, the proteins were small portions. I got the special bowl expecting it to be like last time. Nope, it only had like 6 bite-sized pieces of chicken, 2 shrimps, n steak that was comparable to asada. Plus, the chicken and steak were dry. The shrimp lacked flavor. The rice was great, but that's it. For $15.99, I expected better. I don't know what happened that this place, it is no longer as good as I remember.

New York Steak with Bacon Fried Rice

3.5/5 Stars. It's great but I think the lack of vegetables in the bowl is what lowers it from a full 4/5 stars. The customer service is excellent. I ordered the New York Steak medium rare and got more of a medium well but it was still juicy and flavorful. The bacon fried rice and the hot & spicy sauce are excellent. For price the roll is huge and delicious. I definitely recommend but wish the meat would be at the desired level and possibly if they had vegetables on the menu. All in all it's a great lunch spot

I came here a few weeks ago and ordered the special bowl with everything on it. I feel like the steak was over cooked just a little but the chicken and shrimp were so good!! Bacon fried rice is delicious and not overly seasoned like some bacon fried rice ends up. Prices for this are fairly reasonable, somewhat comparable to teppanyaki restaurants. Service was really good! I think the best part of this place is the hot and spicy sauce. I could drink the stuff. So good, so spicy. I definitely will come back soon!

Ask the Community - Teppan Bowl

Are they still in business ? I've called and called and called with no answer.

    Yes!

Do these people ever pick up calls?

What are the actual hours of this place, the hours posted are not up to date? Went on a Saturday?

Hi, I believe they open at 11:30 to 8:30 pm everyday and they close Sunday.

Does anyone know what kind of sauce the spicy sauce is? My fiancée really likes it

It's hot and spicy mayo with usually a sweeter sauce similar to teriyaki for reference

When you walk in, they're quick to seat you. We went around lunchtime when it's usually busy, but we were seated and got our food within about 30 minutes. I ordered a lavender mocktail, but it wasn't my favorite. The lavender flavor was a bit too strong and overpowered everything. I was expecting something more subtle. I ended up switching to a Shirley Temple, which I enjoyed much more. The staff was very accommodating and welcoming, and the overall vibe and aesthetic of the place is really cute. We usually go for the teppanyaki experience (Wasabi on Fire style where they cook in front of you), but this time we just wanted something quick and simple. We ordered a side of fried rice, and it was amazing--I would get it every time. I also tried a deep-fried roll with scallops on top. I wanted to try something new, but it wasn't really for me. The combination of the deep-fried roll and cream cheese was a bit too heavy, although the scallops were actually really good. Overall, I'd give the roll a 7/10.
