    Baked mussels
    Sally L.

First time dining here! We had dinner here with my husband and two toddlers. The order: we got the three amigos roll and that had salmon, tuna, and yellow tail. Good roll but wished it was packed a little tighter because it kept falling apart. My husband got the red rose that has spicy yellowtail which he gave a 7.5/10, and two kids menu item that includes 2 potstickers, protein ( one got teriyaki beef and one chicken) and they both got an avocado roll. I thought the kids menu was pretty great, quite a good amount of food and has a bit of everything. The potstickers were nice and crispy. The beef teriyaki was nice and tender, chicken teriyaki was seasoned well. The kids enjoyed it. We also got the baked mussels that was pretty good. They even cut it in half so it's not too big of a bite. Service was great. We were greeted pretty quickly when we entered and our server was great at refilling our drinks and checking up on us. They also have teppanyaki as well that's sectioned off right next to the dining area. Sushi bar visible and bar area with a lounge space to relax. They have a beautiful outdoor seating area with a lovely koi pond. I would definitely opt for outdoor seating next time since the kids loved looking at it. Overall, good experience!

We recently visited Teppan Tora for the second time to celebrate a couple of birthdays, and it was such a lovely evening overall. We were seated in the very back room, which felt private and perfect for a celebration. It did get a little toasty back there at times, though thankfully there was an occasional cool breeze that helped. The only real hiccup was that there was some water dripping from the ceiling, and unfortunately it landed on my friend's shoulder. It was not the most pleasant surprise. Hopefully that's something that can be easily addressed. That said, the food was great, the ambiance is vibrant and inviting, and the staff was wonderful as always. Sayuri and her team are doing beautiful things with this restaurant, and you can truly feel how much they care about accommodating their guests and creating a special experience. I also must give a shout out to Anna and Frank who took care of us over in the bar area. Love them to pieces!! We'll absolutely be back to celebrate again.

Nestled in a strip mall in northeast Fresno, I've now been here twice-both times for lunch, once for sit-down, and once for teppanyaki. Both times, there was no wait for sit-down, but there were people waiting for teppanyaki seats. We did sit-down the first time and had no wait. We had a reservation for teppanyaki the second time, and waited about 15 minutes to be seated. Both times, the service was really nice--with staff attentive to requests and keeping refills going. Food is good and at a reasonable price, compared to other teppan places in the area. This last time we went was for a birthday. The grill master did a good job honoring the birthday person, and we enjoyed the theatrics, including the onion volcano. We have noted that this place does get a little stuffy (in winter and summer). I'm not sure if the ventilation or AC is not working--but we notice this during both visits. Other than this, we didn't really notice anything that was above and beyond, or anything that took away from our enjoyable lunch. I would be happy to return to this location for a meal, but because there are other locations that are equally good closer to me, it may be a while.

We arrived to dine in late on a Sunday night. Politely informed Teppanyaki was no longer available, however we did not mind since it was not a special occasion. We ordered Edamame, Shrimp Tempura Udon, Chicken Katsu Bento Box, and Bacon Fried Rice. Looking forward to returning to try their Lunch Special and Teppanyaki.

I came here with colleagues and my intern for a holiday celebration. Seriously love this place and they have a great happy hour M to F. We arrived at our reservation time at 4:30pm and was seated promptly. The owner came out to greet us as she is besties with one of the girls in our party so it so nice to meet her. It's so beautiful inside and out. Our cook for our assigned table was out and we had this gentleman who put on a lovely show for us! The fire works, commentary and playful was exceptional. What we needed! The cocktails were delicious. I love GIN anything so this place had me at gin xD The food was delicious and tasty. Definitely enjoyed our time here. Can't wait to come back!

Service is great- Anna is amazing, super attentive and checks in on us multiple times. We usually come for the Teppan which is great, love the fried rice and beef/chicken. We tried the Bento lunch specials last time we went and were disappointed. The chicken was rubbery and tough. It also didn't taste like teriyaki? Salmon was also overcooked. The calamari was alright, breading was good but I wasn't a fan of the sauces provided. The Bento protein portions are also a bit smaller than other restaurants.

Quick service, nicely cut sushi (not huge thick pieces) cute outdoor seating area. Be sure to check out their happy hour!

Food is tasty and the service was great. My 2 year old loves coming for dinner and a show.

Sashimi deluxe. The ride was on the side. It came with fresh wasabi, which was such a treat!

We had lunch at 11 AM on a Monday afternoon and there was only one other table with people. So it was nice and quiet inside. The decor is dark and modern which I loved. I had seen this place on Dan dish and wanted to check it out. I had wanted the chiriashi dish, but then asked the waiter what his recommendation was, and he suggested the sashimi deluxe which is similar to the Chiriashi which is sashimi over a bit of rice that comes with small salad and miso soup. But the sashimi deluxe comes with more fish and is over a bed of daikon and seems a bit more than the Chiriashi. It was perfect to share with my friend who also got the assorted tempura dish. And we also ordered spicy edamame. This was plenty of food for two of us and we're big eaters. All the fish was very fresh and came with fresh wasabi which the waiter told us is only grown in a few places in America. It really made a difference! I'm not a huge fan of wasabi, but I could eat this for days. The service was personable and fast. We were in and out within 45 minutes. I will be sure to come back and try the A5 Wagyu beef next time and probably sit at the sushi bar to watch the magic.

The meal was fine but sadly the kids orders are premade and delivered separately from the show. We were not informed of that and our kids were sad they didn't get to partake in the show. Fair warning for parents when yoh bring your kids. Get the main menu do not get the kids menu lol. The food was good. The sushi was not as fresh as the Bay Area in my opinion but still fine. The chef was greats super entertaining, very collaborative with the kids, and really worked hard. The food was fine not great but fair. Thus the 3 stars. The Diet Coke was terrible, flat and gross, we retuned it for water. The beer was good!

Had lunch here today with my family and was super disappointed in the atmosphere of this place. It was 82 degrees inside the restaurant. It was so uncomfortable. Our chef was wonderful but the heat was so intolerable that he was sweating which is in no way due to any fault of his own. Imagine sitting for teppanyaki with a hot stove in front of you and the ac being set to 82 degrees inside... we were a party of 7 and we as a family have agreed we will never return here again. This place use to be so good but I can tell they are compromising on important things like air conditioning. When this was Sakanya the restaurant would be packed for lunch, sadly not anymore and I see why. It should never be this hot in a restaurant to the point that the ice melts in your water and your water becomes warm.

Came in for lunch with my girlfriends. The food was really good. Flavorful. We all tried different things. Their hot mustard was not good that could be better. The restaurant was clean and smelled great however it was very hot inside. I get that it's teppanyaki but it was insanely hot. We had a wonderful server. Very nice and accommodating Now the reason for my low review. He accidentally put chicken on my plate before I could stop it. I said it wasn't mine and he grabbed it back off a plate I had been touching and put it onto my friends. I have a germ thing so to me this was disgusting. He also dropped 2 pieces of my meat onto the table of their already little portions. We paid 80 for all 3 of us which isn't bad but we had some food violation server. I feel bad to be upset because our cook was also very nice but it was not okay and the tricks were lacking.

Made reservation for party of 10 for a birthday and was seated quickly in a more private group seating which was nice. We were welcomed by Anders who was extremely attentive. Super friendly and helpful especially dining with 4 little kiddos and offer chopstick helper attachment which was nice. Our chef Jeremiah was hilarious & provided an entertaining teppan show that kept us engaged while cooking our meals as well as keeping the kiddos eyes peel open to watch what's next. Lunch prices was a great deal for our meals with more than enough portion to have some to take home. Overall, it is a good price if you want teppan and can get an entertaining show and not have to eat during dinner to get it like some other places do.

When you walk in, they're quick to seat you. We went around lunchtime when it's usually busy, but we were seated and got our food within about 30 minutes. I ordered a lavender mocktail, but it wasn't my favorite. The lavender flavor was a bit too strong and overpowered everything. I was expecting something more subtle. I ended up switching to a Shirley Temple, which I enjoyed much more. The staff was very accommodating and welcoming, and the overall vibe and aesthetic of the place is really cute. We usually go for the teppanyaki experience (Wasabi on Fire style where they cook in front of you), but this time we just wanted something quick and simple. We ordered a side of fried rice, and it was amazing--I would get it every time. I also tried a deep-fried roll with scallops on top. I wanted to try something new, but it wasn't really for me. The combination of the deep-fried roll and cream cheese was a bit too heavy, although the scallops were actually really good. Overall, I'd give the roll a 7/10. I probably wouldn't order it again, but I'm glad I tried it. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd definitely come back

I was immediate greeted by the two Sushi chefs behind the counter as I walked in. Not long after, the host greeted me and handed me a menu for me to select my order to go. I considered a poke bowl, however, their sauces were pretty standard. So instead I opted for their seaweed salad that came with a number of protein including tuna, edamame, shrimp, avocado, and masago. It was $19, so it wasn't necessarily inexpensive, however I figured a poke bowl with a couple proteins would run me right about there as well. The sushi chef got right away to work preparing my meal and I was in and out within 5 minutes. When I got home, I opened up my box and was a little underwhelmed with the presentation. The protein is cut up into small pieces and mixed in with the seaweed salad. In addition it is not pure seaweed as it is also mixed in with a bunch of other greens such as sprouts. So while the presentation was not what I was expecting, I was pleasantly surprised that I really enjoyed the flavors and textures. I will definitely order this again.
