But given the service and the value of the assistance from the store in selecting, we are very pleased with the purchase. This happened right at the hight of the Covid 19 outbreak. Massachusetts completely shut down and during that time my warranty expired. I was tried to file a claim now and they said that they were not extending warranties since their customer service line were still taking claims, but waiting to fill them once they had reopened. How was I supposed to know that? I assumed that Bob's was completely closed. I mean they couldn't go into anyone's home so why would their customer service line be on. Eventually, after 2 hours of waiting I had to pay $80 to pay for a tech to come out. And they tried to give me mystery prices for the cost of any parts that might be needed. I pushed them on it though and was able to get the prices. I didn't want to pay $80 just for them to say that I need new arms that cost $100. I might as well get a whole new chair. They're customer service is terrible. I had to call 4 different times each call 1hr or longer to get someone to help me. And their warranty is a total scam. During a pandemic they should be extending them or freezing them or something. I've bought a lot of furniture from them over the years, but I won't be purchasing anything from them in the future.
