So we (7 people) showed up at 7 pm on a Sunday. They told us they couldn't accommodate that large of a party. All good, asked to just split up, and they said no. I was a little taken aback by the response. Then I would assume a manager came over and said they were completely booked with reservations and had no availability. Don't know if they just didn't want to serve us but it was one of the most negative experience I've had at a restaurant. Don't know what your guys' problem is but very disappointed. Nothing better than when my husband suggests we go to Temaki Den. Their staff is super knowledgeable, and will help guide you through the menu if you're not sure what to get. Haven't had any of their cocktails, but we love the food. Our favorite is the Salmon Oshizushi. Don't love the atmosphere personally, but that doesn't stop us from going. This is the second time coming here and I'm not a huge fan. I think the temaki style rolls have too much seaweed wrapping for me. The other menu items I've had are delicious, like the Salmon Oshizushi! If you're going to go, I'd recommend going for happy hour! The restaurant itself has a great ambiance! Service was awesome, always attentive, friendly and fast. Glad we sat at the bar to watch all the action. Any place that offers fresh wasabi is good in my book! Started off with the chef's amuse bouche, a hamachi bite was good, light and refreshing with pickled veggies. Miso soup was nice to start with. I really enjoyed the size of the temaki roll, not too filling yet fills you up. We did the blue crab and red shrimp. For the hot dishes went with the scallops, cooked to perfection! And don't sleep on the tempura shrimp, they are fresh and giant, not frozen!!! Nigiri choices were all on point, eggplant, black snapper are great, the wagyu is a must!!! Also a must are any of the specialty nigiri. My boo boo had the one with blue cheese and loved it! Aside from the outstanding handrolls, their oshizuhi was a pleasant surprise and a must-order, the salmon one was the best. Service was excellent, with plenty of staff to make sure you are well taken care of and the food comes at a perfect pace. For dessert, the yuzu black pepper sorbet was unique and refreshing. The quality and freshness of the sushi was great. Everything tasted really good. However there were a couple of questionable components to the experience: 1. Service could've been better for the type of establishment. Felt a little disorganized. 2. A number of the sushi chefs would pick up their pants, wipe their sweat, go on their phone, drink from their reusable water bottles, etc. all while wearing the same gloves they are using to make the sushi. They didn't change gloves in between doing any of these activities I just mentioned and returning to making sushi. I know it probably happens at most restaurants back in the kitchen and we never know it, but with this out in the open set up of their sushi kitchen, it made me uncomfortable to watch this and then eat the food prepared this way. the one place in denver that reminds me of home (socal) lol. the quailty is up to par with handroll resturants in LA (yunomi & kazunori) f o o d : scallop handroll (5/5) do NOT skip on ordering the scallop, especially if you like them. the quality is immaculate and the sauce is super good. (i order like 4) salmon handroll (4/5) includes a yuzu like sauce for that lemon zesty flavor to the tender salmon. super yummy! unagi handroll (4/5) had a nice smoky flavor with each bite. i would recommend for a little breathe from the raw fish. yellowtail handroll (3.5/5) decent but nothing too special. a good clean roll but i would sub for more scallop :9 matcha affogato (5/5) the vanilla scoop was delicious. they whisk your shot of matcha in-front of you and then pour it over the ice cream! its topped with these corn flakes which adds a nice texture. i would def order again! if you want a table or sushi chef bar seat, highly recommend doing a reservation ahead of time. but otherwise, they do walk-in at their bar seating! restroom is nice a clean and parking is paid. i believe the first 1 hour is free in the garage. The food was really good. I sampled lobster temaki which I thought was tasty but more of a lunch thing since it had a more rice in it than anything else. We had a few more sashimi and nigiri plates but felt that the fish wasn't as fresh as it could be on most of what we had. For reference we used to go to Sushi Sasa regularly and now it's Sushi Den. Ambiance is weird, it's very casual and industrial, not preferred for a romantic date night. The service was probably the best we've ever had, anytime we finished a plate it was promptly taken away. We were checked on thoroughly but not too much, it was honestly wonderful. I would try it again because we didn't have the most famous dishes but not sure it beats Sushi Den regarding freshness. We were wandering around downtown a little hungry for a snack and stumbled across Temaki Den in a reclaimed industrial looking building next to a hotel. We had just had Sushi Den the night before and was expecting a similar vibe but we were blown away by Temaki Den! As with Sushi Den and all the Dens I presume, it gets busy so make sure you have a reservation. We did not have a reservation but we were hanging around waiting for 4:30pm and we snagged a table in the back. We mostly got the temakis but also the seaweed salad and some nigiri. Since all the Dens use the same fish that is flown in, all the food was very fresh. They wrap their handrolls differently than Sushi Den and it does in fact keep the roll very fresh as you finish rolling it upon delivery to your table. The seaweed was super crisp and I did not have any difficulty biting through the seaweed when taking multiple bites of the temaki. I have been thinking about Temaki Den since we had it and I cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu and even the omakase. read more

My husband and I came to celebrate our anniversary and were blown away by the service, the food, and the overall experience. While it is on the pricey side, it was worth every bite. It's a smaller spot in the middle of the source almost like your in a courtyard style restaurant. So ambiance I would say is lacking- there's a sports bar right outside and I could hear yelling and cheering whole time from a game. Our server Bow- was attentive and made great suggestions my favorite were the special sushi - a pressed sushi and a salmon belly with cream fraiche. Also loved the hamachi sashimi. The wagyu temaki roll was just ok. The blue crab was phenomenal on the Temaki style. Also got the Garlic Edamame and that sauce is wow and the Karage was just ok. But WOW this time was a WAY different experience than the first time we went. I'm SOLD. We did have a reservation for Happy Hour as they tend to get pretty booked. You walk into an open style dining experience; I typically don't make a reservation and am able to walk right in and sit at the bar.
