Came here after recommendations for their breakfast burrito. It was easy to park and find. The location was visually pleasing and was nice and clean inside. The burrito was terrible though. Around 11ish bucks without tip (but I tipped). The most uncooked potatoes on a burrito I have ever had in my entire life. I almost referred to as a burrito I would make at home but it worse and was terribly underseasoned, undercooked and overpriced. I will not be ordering this item again. Right off the bat, it was obvious to tell this was a popular coffee joint. There was always a lot of people in line, seats full, and workers working. That doesn't mean it's hard to find a seat, however. There are plenty of outdoor, indoor, and upstairs seats to use. This is a beautifully renovated home, that makes me feel cozy and comfortable. There are tables for two, bar seats, and circular tables outdoors. The cookies were pretty good (the one I got for checking in), and it went well with my coffee (I ordered a caramel latte with soy milk). Unfortunately, this coffee joint falls flat when we tasted the coffee. It was very average. My caramel latte was nothing special, and my friend's coffee was just BITTER. Nothing was too expensive, price wise. There are plenty of milk alternatives that you can add to your coffee for an additional 50¢. Our order, total, which consisted of two coffees and an outmeal, came out $13. Plus my free cookie. This is a good place to study, but you need to learn what you like, as all coffee places go. First of all, I am so happy with the customer service, especially considering I had my hands full and the employee working at the time opened the door for me. It's little things like that that really make a place special. Secondly, the coffee and the food are delicious. I had the sea cream Vietnamese coffee and loved it. (Being from Houston Texas, I really missed my Vietnamese favorites and this had a little twist) I also had a breakfast burrito and that thing was HUGE but hearty and flavorful. My second trip had a basic latte and a muffin and the poppyseed muffin was moist and substantial. The latte itself was not as bitter as I expected which really made me happy. The sea cream viet coffee? Absolutely delicious, get it every time, cannot recommend enough! The food however is a different story sadly. I just got the Cali burrito and was looking forward to digging in but as soon as I saw the Tostitos/pace jarred salsa in the side cup and herdez green sauce "guacamole" in the other, I had a feeling I was in for a ride of some kind. So I tried the salsa on the burrito cause why not but to my surprise it was like biting into a lake, there was so much water in the burrito for some reason. I think this is due to lack of understanding of handling and compilation of the ingredients before presentation, but I could be wrong. Since the burrito was so watery it was quite bland. The sour cream was the best topping for it cause it allowed some of the other flavors to stand out of the watery egg mixture. It feels rare to come across a gem like Telvet way out in Forest Grove, so when I stumbled upon this vintage house turned coffee shop, I knew I had to put it in the regular rotation of coffee houses to visit. I love that there is plentiful seating indoors (upstairs and on the main floor) and outdoors in the rare event that the weather is pleasant. Their drink specials are inventive and tasty - the Vietnamese sea cream is a MUST, although give it a pass if you don't have a sweet tooth. Right now you can get a free cookie if you check in, which is a sweet bonus! The wifi is fast and reliable (at least from the several hours I worked there).
