I just used telluride express for the first time to travel from montrose airport to telluride with my wife and 9 month old child. I was terrified of having my kid in someone else's vechile ( he usually cries in cars always.) A young man named Mike picked us up at montrose airport & had a fancy sign with our name on it & he drove us all from montrose to telluride. We had a s*** tin of heavy bags & he handled them all. He let us install our kids car seat in the bitchen brand new black suv he had & was an absolute pleasure to spend time with and was a fantastic driver. I felt incredibly safe with him behind the wheel & driving my kid. He was also a great tour guide telling us all about the local areas as we drove through them. We opted for the basic private shuttle & although the price seems at first glance to be a little high... ITS NOT! Once u factor in rental cars, insurance, needing a 4x4 if it snows, the stress of never having driven in snow... I'm so glad we opted for this company instead of renting a car. We booked Telluride express airport shuttle (Montrose to Telluride) and paid more for it than other shuttle companies only because it promised a shuttle that would be aligned with our flight. However, we waited for an hour in the shuttle for other passengers from several other later flights to fill the shuttle. Several other passengers in the shuttle waited even longer than an hour. Very disappointing We were left stranded at montrose despite confirmed reservation. There was no van to take us to telluride and the phone calls went to the call center in the Philippines. Recommend avoiding at all costs. Pickup went ok. The drop-off was a nightmare. They scheduled me a departure that would have made me miss my flight. There is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you try calling you will be put on an endless hold loop and get a call back maybe the next day. When you do reach someone they offer limited service because they claim it's all 3rd party through a dispatcher. Our group left 45 minutes late and without 4 guests they couldn't find. Some ofbthe guests were dropped off less than 30 minutes before boarding. My skis were placed uncovered outside of a vehicle and the entire bag is soaking wet, probably ruined my gear inside. My personal carry on is covered in filth from the back of the van. Read the other customer reviews, they should be ashamed of the services they offer. This car service claims to be Telluride Express, they actually are a business that service a very large area including Colorado. The drivers are very nice and they have picked me up promptly twice at the local Telluride Airport. The problem is they don't keep many cars at Telluride to pickup and drop off from Telluride to the airport. So after you get here the change the departure pick time for the 5 minute trip to the airport, to two hours prior to departure time for your flight. A major benefit of flying in and out of Telluride is the ease of use of the airport which gets a few flights per day. The. They claim you cannot cancel after THEY change the pickup time. I have children and do not want to force them to hangout for two hours in an airport not designed for people to wait at. There are local ride services, choose them. read more

This is a horribly run company. The booking process is an absolute nightmare. I needed to book a ride 2 days in advance, and couldn't make a reservation online. Getting in touch with this company is an absolute nightmare. They never ever pick up their phone, so the only option is to leave a message and pray that they call you back someday. It took over 12 hours for me to get a call back, and when I finally did, I couldn't load my flight number because I was on a mountain and they couldn't book me without the number. They promised to call me back in 20 minutes so I could give them the number - they never did. I had to call back and wait on hold AGAIN...and of course no answer. Finally later that day I was able to give them my information and they booked me a shuttle for 11am the next day. The driver didn't show up until 11:30am and I was just left to think that they forgot about me. Of course I could not get them to answer the phone when I frantically called about the shuttle. Changed my original pick up time 2 hours earlier. That was annoying but I understood. After confirming my pick up, and confirming the day prior, the driver arrived and didn't have my name on his list. I wouldn't let him leave until he called the office; they confirmed I was on the list. Stood outside in the snow while all of this was going on. We booked a round trip from MTJ to mountain village in Telluride. Our experience was as follows: -- Online reservation system does not work. Repeatedly entered multiple pages of information; each attempt ended with the website crashing or stating that the reservation could not be made. -- No one answers the phone. Ever. Called half a dozen times on different dates and times of day. Each time an automated system states "you are the nth caller" but when the end of the queue is reached (after 20-40 minutes of hold time), the system states that no one is available to take the call and routes to voicemail. One out of three voicemails (the initial booking) and 3 out of 5 emails were returned after 12-24 hours. -- One member of our party was unable to attend due to a family emergency. We contacted Telluride express the Monday prior to a Thursday reservation to revise the number and have e-mail confirmation of this, but have been denied any refund for this passenger. CoWest's FAQ page (at letsride.com) states: "All shared and private ride reservations are refundable when cancelled at least 24-hours prior to the scheduled pick up. A cancellation fee of $10 per reservation will be charged. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received less than 24-hours prior to scheduled pickup. No refunds will be issued for travel plan changes less than 24-hours of travel due to weather, road or traffic conditions, airline rescheduling, etc." read more

I have resisted sharing this review as I am a local, and I believe in supporting local businesses at all costs, but bad business is just that --- BAD BUSINESS. Tride Express is unprofessional. Tride Express lacks any experience in customer service. The online booking system did not work, and directed me to call the customer service line. After waiting 30 min on hold, a representative answered. We were cut off only a couple minutes into the call. I called back and waited on hold for another 30 minutes. The following day when I was picked up, we proceeded to pick up 4 more people (at the same house), and didn't actually leave Telluride until 90 minutes later. We barely got to the airport on time. The worst part of what I am sharing is this is the NORM. I have tried using their service again and again, and they disappoint every time. This isn't related to Covid, this was the case even before the pandemic. I would find an alternative mode of transportaton (Mountain Limo?) to get to and from Telluride. I'm sharing this because Telluride is awesome and a community of great people, epic beauty, and loads of fun. Don't let getting here and leaving here negatively impact your journey. read more

Horrible experience. Made us use a van that picked us up at 4:15am which dropped us off at the airport at 5:59am (almost 5 hours before our flight). They stuck us with a group of people who had a flight at 7:40am whereas our flight was at 10:30am. I do not recommend them! These people do not care about their customers and certainly do not have their act together. The bottom line is that they missed the confirmed 11 AM pick up. After multiple calls and average hold time of ten minutes each time, they said they'd be there at 11:45, 12:30, 12:45 and 1 o'clock, finally showing up at 1:35 and very nearly causing us to miss our 4:45 flight on Grand Junction. The driver had no idea what time our flight was or that there was an issue when he finally showed up. We had to stand out in the snow for over an hour and a half since we had already checked out of our condo. They are the only game in town for the most part so I highly recommend scrutinizing your travel plans and finding a way to avoid them at all costs. We could've flown directly into Telluride instead of Grand Junction for almost exactly the same money that we had to pay them to almost cause us to miss our flight. Truly one of the worst travel experiences I have ever had and I'm not satisfied with the resolution, which was an apology only after I suggested they should make one. read more

My older kids got stuck in Durango. They were supposed to fly into Montrose. Due to weather it got grounded in Durango without a new departure time. Tried to call them to figure out the logistics to getting them picked up in Durango. Even the hotel Peaks concierge said they had to let phone ring for 30 mins before they answered. Our driver Gary, was on time, professional and a great driver! My husband and I were the only passengers in a beautiful, clean, large SUV and our luggage and huge ski bag fit perfectly. Communication all around, including cell phone call to say he arrived for pick up was seamless. Yes, I had to wait on hold for a few minutes when booking the ride 2 days prior, choosing to wait instead of opting for a call back, but a very friendly, efficient gal scheduled everything in a snap. Was very disorganized between reservations & drivers. Driver and van were very good!! It is wrong for a company to tip someone for me without my prior knowledge & approval. They also decided the amount of the tip without my prior knowledge or approval! They did not have the experience & have no basis to judge the level of service. Zero Stars! Proceed at you own risk! They don't care after they receive payment. Telluride Express is the only affordable airport transfer available in Montrose Regional Airport. That's the only reason they are still in business. We were promised to he picked up at 9:15am. We were in hotel lobby at 9am waiting. Driver accused us of not being there or answering our phones. Needless to say we were not picked up for our transfer along with another group of three from Australia. When I tried to call Telluride Express I was put in contact with the rudest and most non-caring girl. She told me "You missed your bus! There are no other shuttles. I can't help you! I am a local in Telluride and ride with Telluride Express every 2 weeks to fly out of Montrose to go to work. They are extremely dependable, you can book ahead or simply go to their desk and catch a ride when you arrive. They have always been able to accommodate me. The one great thing is that even if there are no other riders on the shuttle, you still pay a flat rate of $68. The other companies don't do that and for a 1.5 hour ride, there is no other option going to be cheaper. A lot of times I ride by myself and they have very comfortable nice cars and very safe drivers - a must for out of town people who don't know how to drive in the snow. I always recommend not renting a car to go to telluride, this is the safest and cheapest way to get there and then when you're in town you never need a car! Hassle free read more

We flew into Montrose and heard Lyft is available to get to Telluride. NOT TRUE! We did not rent a car b/c the cost of daily parking in telluride, gas and daily fee was more than shuttle cost. We gave up on Lyft and the desk at Telluride Express was helpful and got us on the next shuttle. The vans hold 11people and yes it is a bit cramped but that is a passanger van for ya. I think they have Suburbans but that would also go up in cost. It was $55/person/one way plus tip. Shuttle was clean and on time for picking us up as well. Recently bought by a bigger company. Their rates have skyrocketed and their cancellation policy is predatory. The drivers are usually great but the phone service is spotty at best and sometimes hostile. They now nickel and dime you for everything (I.e. a surcharge to stop for groceries when you reserve a private shuttle - really?)
