The property is beautiful, with a river running right alongside--perfect for kids and dogs to play. Our site was private and secluded, making it feel like our own little getaway. The bathrooms were large and clean with warm showers and great water pressure. The property manager was welcoming and helpful, personally guiding us to our site and clearly taking pride in the property. The only small downside was laundry--not all machines accept cards and there's no quarter machine, but the office was happy to make change. Overall, a great stay and we'd definitely return.

We stayed at one of the deluxe cabins and it was tidy with a pretty well stocked kitchen. Bed was surprisingly comfortable. A nice walking path is nearby, but the mosquitoes were too thick to be out past 5 PM so we had to abort that idea. Minor improvement suggestions would be: *use mosquito abatement measures for the campground pond and surrounding areas - they were vicious! *Improve the dogpark grounds - the billows of dusty soil were a lot. Maybe wood chips or another material We would definitely stay again if we visit the area in the future

The road into the campground was gravel for about a quarter mile which is hard on a heavy motorcycle loaded down w/ traveling gear. I think some of the tent pads were soft sand but our site didn't even have a "pad", it was just all sharp crushed rock. I would not recommend this campground or at least the tent site that was situated between the cabins. (I think it was the only one situated like this.)

I want to start by saying this is the only park in the town and it offers tons of amenities. The reason for our visit was a baseball tournament and sadly we were quite disappointed by the fields. For being such an expensive and historic town, the fields were amongst the poorest we have seen. There is no actual fence to specify the outfield (on one field), no dugout for the players (it's a park bench) with no covering, infield is all dirt and the backstop is maybe 5 feet from home plate. The park itself is beautiful and has plenty to do and offer other than baseball fields.

Great campground in Gunnison National Forest. It is on Forest Service Road 706, off county road…read more12, between Paonia and Crested Butte. There are 15 campsites (FCFS) plus a small parking area for day use. CR 12 and FSR 706 are not paved, but any vehicle can travel the roads. The highlight of the campground is Lost Lake, a pristine alpine lake at 9600' elevation. The Beckwith Peaks are in the background. If you paddle across the lake (SUP or kayak - no motorized water craft) you get a stunning view of the Ruby Range. (No Ruby Range photos since I didn't bring my waterproof phone case this trip). The lake is dammed and is filled with snow runoff. Even in midJuly, the water was COLD. No chance in h e l l I was going to let myself fall off that SUP! But midJuly was prime time for the wild flowers. Lupine. Queen Anne's lace. Wild rose. Pentsemon. Sneeze weed. Cow parsnip. Fire weed. Absolutely stunning. I'm told the lake is stocked twice annually with rainbow trout. But I don't fish so can't verify. I did see lots of fishermen though.

The occasion: viewing the incredible "Keith Haring: Grace House Mural" exhibition at MCA Denver back in 2021. Towards the end of my visit, I went upstairs to the rooftop and purchased a bottle of Big B's organic lemonade. Organic ingredients include lemon juice, cane sugar, whole lemons and apple juice, along with filtered water and natural flavor. What I loved about this lemonade is the citrus essence was great, it was not cloyingly sweet (more moderately sweet), and the apple juice gave it a welcome, totally different taste not found in most lemonades. Drinking this delicious lemonade was a great way to cap off an enjoyable visit to the museum. On a different note, I didn't realize Hotchkiss, Colorado is actually closer to Utah than Denver. It's about 236 miles away from Denver. But if I'm ever taking a road trip, I would like to visit Big B's Delicious Orchards.

When you finally reach the top, down below deep in the valley sits a quaint little town by the name of Ouray. The KOA sits on the edge of town but has its own distict charm and privacy. This is a beautifully kept venue. You drive in off the main road and they are greeting you when you stop to check in. The full service cabins (which is where we stay) are located towards the back area. You have your own individual parking and a stream runs along the back of each of these little homes away from home. They come with their own fire pit, porch and gas grill on the outside which is shaded by a large tree. As you walk in there is a queen bed, kitchenette and a full bathroom. Off to a small room their are bunk beds for the kids. My husband and I enjoy our stay here. The air is cool, there are activities availabe if you choose to particiapte but you can also just enjoy your time in the quiet. We go every year and have never been disappointed!

Restrooms were spotless and modern. There is no playground or game area.Our dog loved the grass but there was no "dog run", no trails. There is oddly enough, no picnic tables or outside seating or bbq area. It was a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend.

Centennial RV Park located right alongside the highway in between Montrose and Ouray is a nice,…read moreclean, very well kept RV campground with a super friendly staff. The sites are pull through, with full hookups, 50 AMP, and grassy areas for all, at a very reasonable price. We had to leave for a few days without our trailer and for $45 a month, we were able to leave or RV safely behind in their storage area. This is where we will stop each time we are traveling near Montrose / Telluride / Ouray. Thank you Shay & staff for making our stay pleasant.
