I paid $20 when I landed here, and did not authorize my credit card to be charged for more than $40, especially when this is double what I paid when I arrived here. The most irresponsible, unreliable, unprofessional service imaginable. Over 24 hours in advance, ML confirmed a specific pickup time with us, in writing by email, so that we could make the one commercial flight that flies out of Telluride each day. ML is well-aware of the flight, knew we were on the flight, and knew we would be in a world of trouble if we didn't arrive at the airport on time. They charged us in advance. BUT THEY DID NOT SHOW UP! No call, no email, no explanation. ML literally abandoned us without notice, leaving us to frantically find alternative transportation at the last minute, which was itself a nightmare. Only because we got very lucky locating someone else to take us were we able to make our flight with literally two minutes to spare. Had we missed our flight, we also would have missed our connecting flight, and would have been stuck in Telluride with nowhere to stay, no way to return home for at least 48 hours, and out several thousand dollars. We were a little apprehensive after reading the reviews but our experience was great. We use their shuttle service from Montrose to Telluride. Our driver was Bob and he was simply amazing! He was right on time, friendly and extremely helpful and drove very safely. Would highly recommend mountain limo their service was great. Ask for Bob because he's the best! Also, one more thing to note: our friends had to cancel their reservation three days in advance and mountain limo was completely understanding. Avoid this company. I've taken Montrose airport shuttles for the past 5 years, and based on my experience with Mountain Limo's shared van service this month, the company is unprofessional and unreliable. I've always taken Telluride Express, but I decided that I'd try Mountain Limo for my trip this month because it's slightly cheaper and the last Telluride Express van I took was packed. About a week before my trip, I booked a round trip shared van ride between Montrose Airport and Telluride, and provided my cell phone and credit card number. The cost was $48 per way per person, with a 3 person minimum. Since there were 3 other people already booked on the same shuttle, I was told that the price would remain $48 unless the number of people on the shuttle dropped below 3. I was a little disappointed that they wouldn't guarantee the $48 price based on the passengers that were currently booked, but I agreed anyway. The drive from Montrose to Telluride was uneventful, but I was disappointed in the service I received on the way back. The night before my return shuttle was supposed to arrive, I called Mountain Limo to confirm my pickup time (9 AM) and my address. The next morning, no van had arrived by 9 AM. No problem, I thought, maybe the van is just a little delayed. To confirm that they were on the way to me, I tried calling Mountain Limo, but I didn't reach anyone for a half hour. I should clarify that on two of the 5-6 calls I placed between 9 and 9:30, someone picked up, but it sounded like they were accidental "pocket pickups" because all I heard were clicks, and an occasional muffled sound of someone talking. Once I heard what seemed like a customer on speakerphone confirming a reservation. By 9:30, someone picked up, and said that the van had trouble finding my address. I asked why I wasn't called, and the operator said that the driver didn't have the proper cell phone for me. Of course, as I mentioned, I was calling the company during the same time period to no avail. A second driver was sent, and arrived at approximately 9:45, with a nearly full van. Upon seeing about 1/8 inch of snow on the nearly flat driveway, the driver refused to drive on the driveway, requiring us both to carry my luggage to the street. I mentioned to the driver that I had seen vans, shuttles, and cars navigate the driveway successfully in the past week, but the driver demurred, saying "Maybe they were better drivers than me." I'd have to agree. About a half hour after I was dropped off, while standing in line to drop off my bags, the driver called me to ask for my credit card to process the payment. This shouldn't have been necessary, as I had previously provided my credit card when I made my reservation. I'll be taking Telluride Express next time. read more

Here's an up-to-date: The Colorado PUC sent a memo to Mountain Limo as well as to their insurance company, Delos Insurance advising them of their obligations to pay for damages that they caused. As a result of govenment interference, we promptly received a check from Mountain Limo for the damages they caused. I also notified the Colorado Dept. of Insurance and Colorado Dept of Consumer Affairs about Mountain Limo's lack of insuring all of their vehicles and that they did everything they could to run us (me and Hertz) around in circles to track down the name of their current insurance company. Evidently, Moutain Limo constantly changes insurances companies because they keep getting cancelled. Next, I contacted the Colorado State Police to file a complaint that Mountain LImo should be cited for providing false insurance information on the day of the accident and for not having insurance on the vehicle that hit me. The police said they would reopen the file and investigate this. I also notified the Federal Department of Transportation that Mountain Limo is operating illegally without insurance on all of their vehicles. This company put me through hell for the 8 months and I hope they get a little of the same hell I went through for the past 8 months. This company should never be in business. read more

Very rough driving conditions getting to Telluride, but he kept us safe. Return was with their Shuttle Service to Montrose. Van was a little older, and slightly tight, but good enough. I sent their owner Darcy a very long and descriptive email about how unhappy I was with their service for our wedding, and why - and to this point I still haven't heard back (despite getting a response from someone else within the company explaining that they would get the message to her). I know Telluride is small and there are limited options for shuttle and especially limo service, but do your best to find someone else. I own a small business and I realize how important reviews are, so I wouldn't write this if I didn't absolutely stand by it. Don't take Mountain Limo. They advertise themselves as $5 cheaper than the competitors but it is SO NOT WORTH IT. My driver was supposed to drop me off at the office in town so that I could check into my condo and he dropped me off at my condo instead without a way to get in. Then all the other passengers had to wait while he turned around and drove to the office and back again. On my return trip to the airport, the only option they gave me was a 3:30am pickup for a 7:45am flight. We arrived at the airport at 5am. Overkill and a waste of my time. Not only that, but the driver kept trying to pressure me to sit in the front seat stating that "the view was better,"rather than the back seat which was totally empty, and a more appropriate place for me to try to get some SLEEP because it was still the middle of the night! Better view? In the pitch black dark? What a weirdo. How about some consideration for paying customers- don't tell me where to sit. It's a van, this is not assigned seating. read more

This company really put a damper on our first day of travel to Telluride. We arrived at Montrose and checked in to the Mountain Limo counter (as instructed when they called to confirm our ride 3 days prior). When I arrived at the counter, the woman told me that my ride was scheduled for the following day (the 28th). Initially I was so mad at myself thinking I had booked the wrong day. However, I pulled up my confirmation email, which clearly stated the correct day, the 27th. I told the woman and she just said repeatedly "well there's nothing I can do - I don't have any cars". She refused to even look at my phone when I attempted to show her HER COMPANY'S automated confirmation. Additionally, she she never showed me anything on her end that said it was booked for the 28th. She never once said she apologized. My read on the situation was that she had given away our ride to someone else and was just trying to get me to go away quickly. She didn't even offer advice or a suggestion for what to do instead. As a result, we were waiting at the airport for 3 hours until a different company was able to get us on a shared ride to Telluride. I don't remember another interaction with a company that lacked so much professionalism or concern for a customer. read more

Wow Mt. Limo. Way to give Telluride Express a run for their money in awfulness. So, looking at their advertisements and web site (and i think their business card too although didn't have it at the time) is the word TAXI. So I call Mt. Limo to get a Taxi on Tuesday early afternoon to make an appointment to have a taxi pick me up in Lawson and take me to Mountain Village, about 2 miles away. They couldn't have been ruder or more worthless. They're a Taxi and shuttle and they can't take a reservation for a Taxi pick up. They told me no. They are a taxi place and they told me they couldn't give me a taxi, at all, period. They then gave a number to Dial-a-Ride, which I think is a taxpayer supported pick up service (i had just gotten out of the hospital in grand junction and that's why I needed a taxi) and dial-a-ride was just as bad as Mt. Limo! They said they were too busy to give a ride, the whole day, and to call Mt. Limo. Working people of Telluride please don't support this place. They are awful. read more

The driver was still not at the airport 90 minutes after our family's American Airlines on time flight had landed. We took alternative transportation to our destination. I used Mountain Limo to get from Moab to Telluride to begin the Hut to Hut mountain biking trip (started in Telluride and ended up in Moab, so we left a car in town). It was a friend and I, and the drive was a last minute request because other plans fell through, and Darcy worked with us to make sure we wouldn't be left hanging, even though it was Bluegrass Weekend and every business was incredibly busy! Thanks Darcy! Our driver was coming all the way from Telluride to pick us up and he kept up updated throughout the morning with his progress as he made his way to Moab. He was on time and super helpful, helping us get our bikes loaded onto the car and taking special care with them. The drive was easy and relaxed and our driver (I can't remember his name) was friendly and talked as much as we invited, but didn't yak our ears off. I see there is a lot of negative press with the company, but their service was great for me and my friend. Everyone we dealt with was incredibly friendly and willing to help us out. I would use Mountain Limo again in a heartbeat. read more

Here's the deal. We were a group of 8 people, each paying ~50. We were crammed into a van that has four rows of seating (plus co-pilot). There were already 6 other people in the van. The first three rows supposedly fit three people each, but in reality really only fit 2 and a half adults, with the unfortunate third person only being able to fit half of their behinds on it. The last row supposedly fits four people according to the (rude) driver. We could only make this work by having four women in our group cram into the last row, which was incredibly and uncomfortably tight for them for the 1.5 hour journey. The driver, upon us explaining to him that this isn't working, just laughed at us. We didn't tip the driver and we complained to their counter staff at the airport that this is a rip-off. They made just shy of $700 for this trip, taking into account all 14 passengers that are charged $50 each. If they don't refund us some of the money we paid, we will dispute the credit card charge. Don't support this business. There are other options. Do your research, read reviews, then book with a company that has their customers in mind first, not just their bottom line. read more

As a disclaimer, I was not a passenger of Mountain Limo, however, I was driving behind them (Vehicle #10) last week and was shocked at the poor driving and downright unsafe actions that were taken on snowy roads. I followed them leaving Telluride and to my surprise they not only passed a car coming down Keystone on snowy roads they did so in a NO passing zone. Although the roads were snowy traffic was not moving at a slow pace; maybe 4-5mph under the suggested speed limit. They continued to pass cars and cut corners causing them to go into the oncoming lane all the while exhibiting very erratic movements. The most concerning part of this experience was that the large transit van was packed with people. In no way would I consider safety to be on the forefront of their mind or in their training. Needless to say it was nerve wracking to observe... I cannot imagine what it was like on board. read more

I could not have asked for a better experience with Mountain Limo. When I checked in at the counter all the men were extremely nice and accommodating. Very laid back and welcoming. I saved 10 dollars by booking with Mountain Limo instead of the Telluride Express. My boyfriend and I made reservations to go from Montrose Airport to Telluride and even though we were exhausted and cranky Jack our driver really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. He had bottles of water waiting for us in the car. He entertained us the whole drive talking about the history of the towns we were passing through. He was really delightful to ride with and like I said. We could not have asked for a better experience. We tipped him over 20%. read more

Should have looked and listened to the terrible reviews.... The experience was very bad. The van was totally overloaded with people, to an extent that the ride was not safe anymore because customers could not fit/ use safety-belts anymore nor sit properly on seats (we get it that a 90 minutes ride with 15 people in a van maximizes profits as the ride generates ~700USD of revenue...) The driver also just dropped gear from the roof of the van - risking damage if people would not catch it. There is no question that a company which does not put customer experience and safety first as well handling expensive gear with proper care, should truly not be in business... Take the bad reviews for real and go for an alternative...even if it is a shared rental car... read more

Do no take mountain limo. I used their van service on the way from the Montrose airport to mountain village without issue. Paid the $48 and all was well, but upon my return trip I called in to book a $48 van ride and a private shuttle was apparently sent to my address. Without prior knowledge of what a private ride costs vs a van ride, and without knowing how to differentiate the vehicles I took a ride from the vehicle that showed up. Assuming it was a $48 ride I tipped the driver and got on my flight. I must say Sean was my driver and was one of the nicest and most interesting people Ive met in a while. The transaction was done over the phone (no price stated) and no receipt was provided after the ride stating the charges. Apparently I was booked for a private shuttle that costs $345..... Upon seeing my credit card statement I called them to see what had happened. They told me I had ordered a private ride (not the case). Lets break down this exorbitant price: Gas on Jan 1 2015: $2.19/ gallon (as stated on their handwritten booking statement that I requested) Vehicle: 2015 Ford Expedition XLT: 16-22Mpg (lets give them benefit of the doubt so 16mpg) Distance & Time 68.1mi and roughly 1.5hrs So @ 16mpg that vehicle burned 4.25 gallons of gas costing $9.30 or $18.60 (if return trip for the driver is counted). $345-$18.6= $326.4 total minus the cost of gas. If you take into account the drivers time 1.5hrs $326.4/1.5= $217.6 --- what I was charged per hour just for the drivers time. INSANE. First of all this is all, this was a booking error and now the company will not work with me whatsoever for a different price. (I offered half) This company has essentially cheated me out of $297 because of an error and I'm stuck holding the tab. If you don't want this headache to happen to you I would suggest taking the telluride express, or hitchhiking or literally any other means of transit except mountain limo. read more

I have never been in a "limo" that could not drive on a mountain road with a little snow we had to get out and walk the last mile to our place in the mountain village at telluride and the streets had just been plowed. When I called a couple of days before ride to confirm, they had no record of the pick up. But they said they could still accommodate him. When I checked my credit card bill, I was charged for a private ride - $345! When I called to figure out why I was charged the private rate, I was put on hold for 24 minutes with the line open so I could hear their conversation about me and hear while they conducted all of their other business.
