On July1st I got picked up at home dropped off at my Dr Appt. No charge because my Insurance.Picked back up to take me home.Again no charge Also I am disabled . July 2nd I had another Dr Appt Again picked up at home dropped off at my Dr Appt no charge. Get picked up from the Dr I asked if it would be ok to stop by the pharmacy on the back home I had to call dispatch make sure that was ok.It got the ok.While waiting in line in the drive through I said to the cab driver "Im sorry for being such a pain" He said you need a spanking Didnt know what to think. He pulled up in front of my house got my walker from the trunk brought it to my door I stood up he asked me for a hug I shook my head no he said how else can I give you your spanking. Im thinking omg said oh look my dads here working on my car. I cant even explain awkward And how Innapropriate. Today igot picked up from home to go to walmart pick up my prescription pulled up in front of the store said I owe almost $17 I said I have Insurance he said no I dont when I made the appointment to get picked up that I had Insurance. Long story short cab driver yelled at me to get out as he is wheeling my walker to me saying he has other people to pick up that can pay just left me there I am recovering from total hip replacement surgery I am on the side of walmart crying not sure what to do.So i called sunshine cab back said now I need to pay over $28 dollars to get a ride home. Avoid Sunshine in Durango! Horribly rude lady that books the rides. Traveling with small children and elderly person- driver never showed for our airport transfer. The same lady told me she has no idea how long the driver would be and I had to just wait. I asked why she doesn't track the driver as they're a transportation company. We booked a van from the Montrose Fairfield inn to the Montrose airport. I received a text confirmation for 5:30 am. Fortunately I called Sunshine (very inappropriately named) at 5:28 am wadded through their automated system only to find out they booked us out of the WRONG CITY!!! And what was their solution?? NOTHING!!! "We're sorry, we're sorry" That's was so NOT helpful! They could have offered to find an Uber, could have sent another car, sent 2 cars.... Got off their dairyair and done SOMETHING! The absolute worst! I pre-booked a ride a month out for an early morning fight from Montrose Airport. The company emailed me the night before to authorize my credit card - which I did. At 4:00 in the morning, 1 hour and 45 minutes before they are supposed to pick me up, I get a text saying the the app should not have taken my booking and they would not be coming to pick me up at the arranged time. I had no choice but to wait until the first available time slot which was 30 minutes later than I needed. To make matters worse the driver they sent was not able to navigate the directions - and their "help" line lied and said that it was because I did not have my unit number in the reservation. My entire address is loaded into their website and my location was clearly visible on their GPS map. Luckily my neighbor was walking by and was able to take us so we wouldn't miss our flight. I needed a ride to the hospital this morning and was told yesterday they would have someone arrive at 6 :15 am. When no one showed up I called to ask where my ride was and they said there was a thirty minute leeway, which was not told to me. When it neared the thirty minutes they still didn't have anyone on their way. Awesome experience with Sunshine rides. I had to get to Montrose from the GJ airport and there were no ubers available on a Saturday afternoon. I called and Sunshine had someone dispatched and arrived within 10 minutes. My driver was really pleasant and took the best route. It wasn't a cheap ride but it was definitely worth the price given the convenience. It was cheaper than a cab in a large city and reasonable rate. I think those commenting about the prices may have unrealistic expectations. I'll def use them again and recommend them to anyone who is looking for a ride. read more

Dispatch voluntarily cancelled my appointment ride without phoning me. After calling back they asked for confirmation about the appointment which I provided right away. I get to my appointment and call to take me home. They wanted to speak to my counselor which they did. After getting on the phone the lady was rude and hangs up the phone on me . Dispatch was rude and hung up the phone one me twice. Once when i had to rebook the ride and once to get home. I don't appreciate being treated horribly because I dont deserve it. Not first time using Sunshine Taxi. Have had them late but thanks to amazing drivers going shortest way they get me here. Only had one challenge with one driver who is still there. Problem is a few dispatchers, especially newer ones. Ones that have been get the job done and get you picked up, all on time whether you call and reserve your ride ahead or not. It's the newer ones. even if been there for a while that think they know it all. More than once I have scheduled a taxi night before a medical appt. Usually with a specialist only to finally call to check on my ride when is late and be told it never was put on que and couldn't find a drive to get me to appt. So have to cancel medical appointment and cancel taxi. I have used Sunshine for five years. Love the drivers and the older gals that take my info. They were late and when I called the man who answered explained that they called the driver at the time we scheduled. We had a dinner reservation which we missed and consequently had to wait 20 minutes for a table at the restaurant. Pretty much Everywhere I Go I have to use Sunshine Taxi, the drivers are incredible your kind and understanding and try to be helped, however the weekend dispatch takes great joy and making me feel like crap, last Saturday he actually had me in tears. If you schedule a ride for the early morning, they will be perfectly on time. If anything they will be early. Wait till about 8 o'clock and you're better off waiting for lyft or uber to get you. Both apps are cheaper to ride with than sunshine rides, and it would seem the dispatching office is not very well put together. Every day is different and you never know if you will have good customer service. They say if the ride is beyond 30 minutes from "time of arrival" then it is late. But don't count on any kind of compensation for waiting around. Don't count on any sort of service aside from being driven from point a to point b. And don't count on being on time unless you're super lucky! read more

My husband and I were riding a tandem out on country roads around Palisade when our bike chain broke. We were six miles from home so we called Sunshine Rides and they were so helpful. A Caravan came out for us within 15 minutes. The driver, Robert, was so kind. He helped us get the tandem into the van and brought us Home. This is the service we will use whenever we need a ride!! I have been using sunshine rides for a few months now, all the drivers have been very nice, but for the past few days all my rides have been late. I have never scheduled a last minute ride, my rides are always schedule at least four hours before I need them most of the time I schedule them a day before though. I used sunshine taxi today, and eh. Maybe they should consider changing their name to overcast? I called for a ride to the airport and the taxi arrives 35 minutes late. When I come downstairs the driver is smoking outside of his taxi (like don't worry about me sir, I'm only trying to get to the airport and all). So he finally decides to put out the cigarette and he begins to drive me. Mind you, he is going SO.DAMN.SLOW. And I mean tortoise and the hare slow. As if he was waiting for an invitation to make turns and go at a green light. And can someone tell me how we caught ALL the red lights? You literally have to TRY to catch all the red lights in grand junction. Anyways, I know he was doing it on purpose because he gets paid for extra minutes (on top of the miles he gets paid for). I literally paid this man to drop me off to the airport late. So finally once we get the to airport he charges me a $2 airport fee. (That would have been nice to know before I rode with sunshine taxi). Long story short I got charged at least $4 more than I've ever been charged on this same route. And since I tip well regardless of the situation, this maybe 1 or 2 mile trip costed me $20. Morale of the story, don't ride with Sunshine taxi. Huge rip off. Stick with K-2 taxi! read more

Usually on the ball but recently texting system is down so we don't know when our rides show up. I've been staring out the window waiting on my ride so I call to find out where in line I am only to find out a driver said he came, I wasn't there so he left. This is becoming a pattern with sunshine. Lazy drivers dont want to take the time to alert us to their presence, much less actually show up to the correct place, so they bag it and leave. Now I have to start over, had a rude dispatcher who wouldn't even let me complain. Complaints usually die with the dispatchers anyway and don't get to the owners. Been riding with them for 5 plus years and the last couple months have been the absolute pits. Don't know what's up, scary speed demon drivers, stoned drivers. I adore the drivers that have been there as long as I've been riding but these other guys are killing me. As soon as things improve I will rewrite this review. On-time service and professionalism is what you get with Sunshine. They usually arrive at my house a few minutes before the appointment and they get me to the airport well on time. Had to change my review from 3 stars to 1 star. Called for a ride at a scheduled time, 30 minutes after the cab was supposed to arrive I called to inquire where it was. The woman told me in a surly tone that they were busy and that the cab would be there when it gets there... Completely unacceptable. Made no mention that they were So busy and that I might expect a delay when I called to schedule a ride. I would not even consider them reliable considering this was the third time my ride was late..... Give Uber/Lyft your business because Sunshine is a JOKE and not a funny one either. read more
