Knowing how insanely expensive the Apple Store tends to be as well their ridiculous wait times to get an appointment, I needed to act fast for a very quick fix. Cellular City Phone Repair was referred to me by my father who has always had great experiences with the owner, James. Now having conducted business with him, what I can say is that James is a gentleman who provides very fair prices, great service, and super helpful tips. I called in the schedule an appointment early in the morning and he encouraged me to come in, so he could inspect my phone to get a better understanding of what my problems were. He saw me immediately, and gave me a turnaround time of about four hours. Given this wasn't scheduled in advance, and when I returned to the store he was just finishing up, I couldn't have been more pleased to have my phone functioning normal again. After receiving payment, he mentioned that I should call back if any issues occurred after the service. From his friendly and respectful demeanor, as well as great reputation, not just with my father, but also from multiple comments listed on Yelp and other review platforms, I believe his word to be true and well definitely return if I ever need any other service for my smart phone. I highly recommend Cellular City Phone Repair and encourage anyone in San Leandro or in the accompanying East Bay to go here if/when in need of a phone repair. Last Sunday, my wife lost her phone. We received the replacement device yesterday, and I immediately contacted AT&T customer service at 800-331-0500 to transfer her phone number (ending in 6262) to the new device. Unfortunately, the representative mistakenly transferred my number (ending in 9805) instead. This error occurred while I was en route to a colleague's 30-year retirement celebration, leaving me without service. After returning home to connect to Wi-Fi and speaking with customer service a second time, the representative confirmed the mistake and recommended that I visit a local AT&T store for assistance. I called the San Leandro store around 7:00 PM to inquire about wait times and was advised that no appointment was necessary. Upon arrival, Ms. Christina Weng assisted me immediately. She demonstrated exceptional knowledge, professionalism, and efficiency, resolving the issue and restoring service to both phones in less than 20 minutes. Her outstanding support completely turned around a very frustrating experience. Ms. Weng truly deserves high recognition--potentially a raise--for her excellent performance. I would give her the highest possible rating. For other customers, I recommend calling the store ahead of time or scheduling an appointment before visiting.

The lst year saw some negligible savings. After that. It became a game every year with Comcast jacking up rates until I signed a new contract that was slightly higher than my old rate. After my son left my family plan, I decided to port/transfer my iPhone to another son's Verizon account. Informed it was easy peasy to do. Went to the Union City flagship store, let them do what was necessary. Was assured it was done. Went home. iPhone didn't work with a simulated e-sim card or something similar. Had to go to Comcast for whatever reason. Got signed off. Went across the plaza to this Verizon affiliated store operated by Victra. James K. was the sole associate on duty. He quickly did a "set up & go service" & gave me an interim SIM card. Pd 51.07. Son later noted it might have been free at a flagship store. Noted mobile phone stores are set up in pairs in plazas for a reason. James told me this store is usually appointment only as there are few patrons. Satisfied with service. Disappointed with Verizon that their website wasn't transparent enough to post all possible scenarios. 4.5 stars for Victra. Would do business again with them.

What should have been a simple process turned into over 12 hours of waiting while they struggled to port over the numbers for the three new lines. There were issues porting one of the numbers, and the staff told me they needed to open a temporary extra line to complete the port. I was repeatedly assured that this extra line would not appear on my bill and that I would not be charged for it. When my next bill arrived, I found charges for that extra line anyway--contrary to everything they told me. I escalated the issue to the store manager, Dion Ball, who apologized and told me it was a mistake. He assured me I would receive a credit--including a total of $480 for the time I spent trying to resolve their errors. He promised it would appear on my next bill. The next bill came, and no credit appeared. When I contacted Dion again, he told me the credit would take 1-2 billing cycles. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited three full cycles, and still nothing. Now, Dion has completely stopped responding to me. After being a loyal Verizon customer for over four years, I am absolutely disgusted by the lack of professionalism at this store. In my experience, they made promises they did not keep, and when it came time to follow through, they simply ghosted me. It feels like they expected me to just give up and let it go. I believe this situation was handled irresponsibly and improperly, and I will be filing a complaint with the FCC. I strongly urge everyone else to think twice before coming to this location.
