I would like to extend my sincere appreciation and special recognition to Ms. Christina Weng for her outstanding customer service at the AT&T store in San Leandro. Last Sunday, my wife lost her phone. We received the replacement device yesterday, and I immediately contacted AT&T customer service at 800-331-0500 to transfer her phone number (ending in 6262) to the new device. Unfortunately, the representative mistakenly transferred my number (ending in 9805) instead. This error occurred while I was en route to a colleague's 30-year retirement celebration, leaving me without service. After returning home to connect to Wi-Fi and speaking with customer service a second time, the representative confirmed the mistake and recommended that I visit a local AT&T store for assistance. I called the San Leandro store around 7:00 PM to inquire about wait times and was advised that no appointment was necessary. Upon arrival, Ms. Christina Weng assisted me immediately. She demonstrated exceptional knowledge, professionalism, and efficiency, resolving the issue and restoring service to both phones in less than 20 minutes. Her outstanding support completely turned around a very frustrating experience. Ms. Weng truly deserves high recognition--potentially a raise--for her excellent performance. I would give her the highest possible rating. For other customers, I recommend calling the store ahead of time or scheduling an appointment before visiting. read more

AT&T Store - Customer Representative - Mobile Phones Near Me - San Leandro, California

I went for a PIN number change for my personal internet account at this location because I was told by an AT&T customer service over the phone that I needed to change it in person. The guy that was helping me was Ramon, he told me that he would be able to help, then asked for my phone number however, the account on my cell phone is not under my name. He said that he would not be able to help me. I told him the internet is under my name that it has nothing to do with the cellular account and he said he can't help me because my cellular is not the same name as my internet. I told him many times that has nothing to do with the internet which he replied, "Do you know how many years I've been working here". I left before he could say anything else. Now you are telling me that he was going to be able to give my personal PIN number to someone else whose name is NOT in the account, but he can't give the number to me? That is really a BIG CONCERN for the security of my account! Also I want to add that the security guy there was really nice and polite. read more

Terrible service, rude and incompetent staff. 2 + hours wait times. It absolutely ridiculous to make a customer wait endless hours just to pick a a device that was fully paid for and processed online. Deplorable establishment and company. But this is the state of everything. Companies making incredible profits and offering 0 customer service. The word no longer exists. read more

CHRIS is a LIAR! After running through all the other hoops that AT&T lies about how you can return new purchases we went to this store and a seemingly nice guy named Chris (at least that's what his name tag said) told us he couldn't provide a shipping label, but if we came back the next morning at 10 he would, "take care of us." He wasn't there and my wife had to wait an hour for more BS. AT&T is simply the worst. read more

Worse store ever!! They take forever to get to you and they don't even help ! I couldn't even return my phone because they listed it in a blacklist and all because of their employees not doing things correctly!! Go to a different store read more

I checked in on the ipad, like everything else does which help first come first serve with put your name on the screen. This is great way of tracking customers that are waiting. But here is what i think needs some improvement as a customer view. I think that having four customers on the board waiting for a period of time and waiting and waiting for the name to be called is way too long. I think you should have more available employees so that the waiting is not horrendous specially like me that i just want to drop off a phone. Well guess what, i left because i dont have 1hour to wait. Hopefully that this location have a better consideration with customer time. read more

I've been here many times since my phone service is with AT&T. Always super thankful for the attentive customer service here. Most recently, when my phone for some reason failed to respond to cellular data, I rushed coming here, and Isabella saved my phone and gave me a new SIM card for free in 5 minutes! AMAZING customer service here in Downtown San Leandro! read more

I really try shopping local. Forgot about my terrible experience a few years back, I'm not sure who's in charge of training the young people who work here...,they leave a lot to be desired! I was looking for a phone the young woman who helped sent me to the apple store to buy one :(. I went to the union city outlet instead. Got my phone. Returned to San Leandro to buy accessories. The young man who helped said "I don't think we have any screen protectors and covers? I don't l... honestly ma'am your best bet iOS Amazon. So there you have it. I won't be returning to this store ever$. :.. read more

Richard was so helpful! He basically made sure I got through to a rep and was able to process my return so fast. I was struggling with reaching att over the phone so he made the process way easier. One less headache thanks! read more

For months I had issues with my account and went to multiple stores including this location. Due to lack of experience and customer service from and att store closer to my home I decided to give a different location a chance. Kaye our rep was very patient, knowledgeable and helped us solve all the issues we had that day. Thank you so much. read more

Came as a walk-in, we were put on a list, but they are not going but employees are not honoring the list. 2 employees for 6-7 clients waiting. Make sure you come here with no other plans. Or get an appointment, tried to get an appointment online but it was not letting me book. read more

Alexis ! Thank you for helping us and being so supportive. I don't understand why this place has low ratings- as I've had nothing but great experiences here. Thank you for helping us and being so helpful, and personable. read more

Yanai was very helpful, patient, and kind. The store was slammed with only three people working, but they huddled to be sure everyone who entered was greeted and added to the waitlist. She apologized for the wait, even though it's not her fault, but didn't make me feel rushed at all. Very happy with the quick help in getting a new phone. Thank you Yanai! read more

2nd try coming here. Just a bunch of dummies standing around talking to each other while 15 of us wait

Zero stars. I had to tell the sales guy NO a very firm FIVE TIMES trying to sell me fiber internet when I was there to trade in my phone. He kept just talking over me when I was so clear to say NO. Extremely pushy and gross and disrespectful. Maybe they wouldn't have a two hour wait for walk-in assistance if they didn't spend so much time trying to up-sell people? I had made an appointment online and it meant theoretically the next available service rep could help me, but instead the salesguy kept asking people on the walk-in waitlist who they were until I chased him down saying I had an appointment and was next. I'm honestly not gonna go into an AT&T store again, the constant up-selling is gross but this was a new level of disrespect. Faster and easier to buy online. read more

NO!! Personal are RUDE and they need to know their devices Second time I visited these store figuring the sales person was having a bad day but they have all the same mind frame. I would say no stars. They work to hard at offering this internet service, and if this is what we get for phone service, I could imagine if we needed help with our internet. MARLON MARLON MARLON i hope you read this Terrible store and customer service, i guess thats how it is when people make commission. Long story short , i been going back and forth with AT&T Customer service due to trade in issues and customer service finally got to the bottom of the issue and they just wanted me to go into a store to show a manager to verify that i did trade in my phone . Customer service rep gave CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS and told me once i get to the store to tell whoever helps me to read all the notes on my account to get this done. So i came to this At&t store and a guy named MARLON assisted me, and he would not listen, was already rude, told him that i already spoke to customer service and all they need you to do is to review the notes on my account because they gave clear instructions on what to do to solve this. Marlon kept refusing , didnt wanna listen, i even said "well what does it say on the notes" and all he kept saying was saying was nope. Like how are you this upset and bitchy when you guys JUST opened lol i came right in the morning FYI. Decided to leave and visit the store in union city . Great store , staff was helpful and issue on my account was solved. Marlon from the san leandro store kept saying he can't do anything . Abd thats funny because the people at the union city store was able to? Terrible. Idk how someone can hire a person like that. #1 step to hiring ppl for a RETAIL store is personality , and being able to build relationships with customers and he failed. This my first review ever, i literally made a yelp account after this experience. He pissed me off so much man i was holdin my composure the entire time F this guy. read more

KEITH is the goat and that's all you need to take away from this review. About a year a ago, I left my family's AT&T plan and joined FirstNet because it was cheaper and better. Porting my number to AT&T was a nightmare, not because of the employees here, because there was some issue with my number that wasn't allowing them to transfer things over. It took two trips to AT&T but Keith was patient and eventually resolved everything. Yesterday, I returned because I wanted to add a tablet to my existing plan and update my FirstNet sim card. Keith helped me out again, great. However, FirstNet employees on the phone were unaware about the $20/mo tablet add-on offered by.......FirstNet. Unfortunately, FirstNet would not honor said deal and required that I pay $40/mo for the tablet. This is not Keith's or AT&T's fault. I'm 0 for 2 when dealing with FirstNet. Their terrible customer service made me want to switch back to AT&T consumer plan. However, Keith advised I stay on FirstNet because it's still overall cheaper and better despite their customer service. I've always had a good experience every time I come here. A lot of people on this Yelp page complain about lack of service, long lines, and what not but don't understand that it can be a lengthy process and takes time to do things the right way. There's only so many employees available to help out. Simply doing things like calling ahead of time with your questions or coming early in the morning could avoid a lot of headaches. I felt the need to leave a positive review after Keith helped me twice! read more

Stopped into the store today to pick up a new phone. Made an appointment for first thing this morning. They opened their doors relatively on time. Approached by a very nice staff member who identified himself and asked how he could help. The ONLY reason I didn't rate them 5 stars is because I spent twice as long in the store than I wanted to. Granted, it wasnt his fault and he kept apologizing - for someone who may be looking to spend 30 mins and its longer than an hour - it may try your patience a bit. Seems like there may have had some system issues this am but idk. But service was great, issue resolved and new phone in hand an hour later. Thank goodness I stopped for coffee beforehand! read more

I've been coming to this store for all our phones. It's convenient but customer service is good overall. I feel compelled to write this review as today the service was top notch. I was having data issues with my phone this week and knew a trade in would cost me $500. I went to t mobile and Verizon just to weigh my options. Finally went to ATT as I knew I had no other choice besides upgrade my phone. When I went in, gabby helped me out. She was very pleasant and started troubleshooting my phone. It took about 30 mins but she was able to address the SIM card issue. I couldn't be more happier as she saved me $500. She could have upsold me but instead did everything to help me out by fixing my phone. Thank you gabby for the excellent customer service! read more

Just finished getting help from there. I have my service through FirstNet, but they're partnered with AT&T. As soon as we walked in, their manager Gabriel greeted us and asked what we needed help with. Yani helped us pretty quickly. There were plenty of staff to help other customers as well. After a phone call with first net and waiting a little bit, my problem was solved! Between the staff and easy parking, I'd come back here and recommend this location to everyone. read more

These guys will sell you anything! But when it's time to get some help.. instead of taking care of their customers they just brush it off on each other.. it's sad because I really liked AT&T.. Unfortunately had a bad experience here. The sales clerk signed us up for three new phone lines and stated a certain amount that was going to be due. We agreed and moved forward with the transaction. Then this month my bill was three times that amount. When I went to go ask what happened he said it was the first bills month of extras and other bs. Why then not tell us that when we were finalizing the accounts. It would have been nice to know ahead of time instead of breaking my bank account the first few months. Makes no sense. Very bad communication. Anything to get new accounts. Do not come here . Long waiting line and no honest service read more

Bad customer service. I came to get a SIM card and ended up getting scammed by the manager by opening a second account without telling me. Tried to return a watch that they claimed part of the promotion but they turned us away because it was over 2 weeks. I also asked to get my wife's phone check because wifi wasn't working but the guy wasn't too helpful. ( I guess no sale no commission) When we called the loyalty dept, they said for us to go back and tell them about buyer's remorse and if it's within 30 days they can take anything back, no questions asked !!! Sure enough we came back the next day- told them BUYER'S REMORSE - they took it back. I'm sure they're aware of what's going on in the store. We are already paying a lot and as a loyal customer, this store should at least treat as with respect and with compassion after what their other other colleague did to us. Be careful, don't let these people take advantage of you. Go somewhere else read more

Monday evening, came in, and this location is letting people wait for nothing. Before I put my name in line I already told the guy that I came in to cancel business internet. And then waited about 60minutes, the guy that assisted me said I have to call. They just know they couldn't cancel it why put my name down? I can understand they couldn't help that needs to call to cancel. But I just can't believe they made me wait for nothing. Just make sure they can actually assist you for what you need before putting your name down to wait. read more

Anyla was a joy to work with as my son and I turned in our old phones for credit after purchasing the 14 plus. She wrote everything down, analyzing our current grandfather phone plan & switching it to a newer, more effective & less expensive plan. I went into this AT&T store and the gentleman at the door asked me what I needed I said I needed some help on my email on my phone they said the email has nothing to do with us you'll have to take that up with Gmail and basically told me that's all they can do for me so the guy at the door he's a jerk read more

I take back everything I said, nothing that Sergio said would carry over to my bill has. I explicitly said I would not add an additional line if it meant losing my credit. I am now in the process of switching everything from ATT because I'm literally paying double what I was told. I was a assured multiple times everything was fine and was lied to. Do not trust this store and what they say your bill will be. Customer service over the phone couldn't fix any of it. read more

My experience has been horrible with AT&T in general. This is based on ATT internet and Uverse account holders. This location reflects the same outcome of bad business practices. They refuse to answer the phone and will just hang-up or disconnect all incoming calls. This is not a good business model. I feel this ATT preys on the senior community. This company makes it almost impossible to close account and/or change serviced to less costly services that are supposedly readily available. Once your contract is up your account will default to the highest rack rates they offer on purpose if you do not update at the end of contract. Often seniors are not knowlegdeable how to navigate through their website. They make it extremely difficult and confusing to adjust plans or close account. Security access to account is impossible if you don't have a 4 digit pin. I warn all account holders hat have senior parents to be cautious with ATT. I hope in the near future that they will do a class action lawsuit against this predatory practice. I will never do business with any ATT service ever again. Customers be warned! read more

Sitting here right now and came in a bit before 2 and 3 people ahead of me now i dropped to 4. I have been here an hour already with no movement. 2 employees helping customers and 2 at the door taking names & doing nothing. Kids running around. Manager been helping the same person since i got here. One lady started fussing now another. Guess what i came to do, DROP OFF A PHONE. They should have a slot for this. I just saw them turn someone away because they have no iphones, why didn't they tell people that from the beginning. Anyway, my simple Sunday errand just went to hell. read more

This store is consistently helpful with small concerns. If I can't figure out why my phone quit working, they do it gladly and free. Yesterday I spoke of Alayh. She spent extra time with me and I appreciated it. I am older and sometimes young people don't want to spent the time needed. read more

Worst ATT store ever. Came in to drop off a phone for a trade in after confirming with ATT rep over the phone that I may do so. Booked an appointment and one fella looked at me a couple of times while he was watching a football game and then asked if i needed help after standing in front for a few minutes. Told him i needed to turn in my phone and he insisted that no stores cannot accept trade-ins in person. I reiterated that I just confirmed with someone from ATT directly over the phone that this can be done in person. He says no and that I misheard. I then went to union city to turn in my phone with no issues. This location definitely hires lazy unprofessional people that would rather watch TV during work than help individuals. read more
