They told me to stop by anytime and they could change out the Sim Card in Ten Minutes.. So I rolled there in my Whip and rolled in like a Boss and they had me in and out in 10 minutes!!! Came in needing to get my kids phones line activated since I added new lines. Went to the Marina location earlier in the day and was told it would be a wait. When I walked in, I was greeted by Kamau who was very welcoming. He asked me purpose of visit and put me on the list. 3 minutes passed and he offered to help me with the Sim cards. 4 other reps were busy with other customers. I wanted to say how wonderful Chrissy was at T-Mobile Bayfair. Everyone in the store was helpful and go out of their way to provide excellent customer service. I had a issue with transferring over my number to Verizon. I only did so because I needed cell phone coverage in areas that aren't available on T-Mobile. When I called the (800) # with T-Mobile it was a horrific experience to say the least. They merged my account with someone else's account and told me I was no longer the account holder and I had to prove who I was by going into a store with my ID and Social Security card in hand. I was very upset because I was trying to close my account that had two numbers I still needed to port over to Verizon. Chrissy went above and beyond to help me and even made a follow up call to document in my account that she verified who I was just in case the 1(800) # hassled me again. She also said her manager Justin would assist me further if they continued to be uncooperative. YOU GUYS ROCK! read more

This is a review of T Mobile coverage, (At&t network) not of any specific branch. Since I joined T-Mobile several months ago, using two different phones (Samsung S4 and Altec Evolve 2) I am having continual signal problems, both voice and data at my home in San Leandro but I notice problems in areas of Oakland and often other areas. I have complained to T-Mobile but there has been no change. For bay area users, I suggest using a different carrier other than T-Mobile or AT&T until they can get better coverage. I am now stuck in a contract I do not want. read more

I was enticed to try T-Mobil's Service because of their so-called "buyers remorse" program. They claim that you can try their service and cancel within 14 days without charge. I live in the hills where service is spotty so I signed up under the program and was not able to get a signal at my home. The next day I went back in and told them to cancel the service. I was told that a signal booster would help. I would have to put down a fully refundable $25.00 deposit and they would have to mail the booster to my house. I agreed, paid the deposit and waited for the signal booster to arrive via UPS. Several days later it arrived and I went through what turned out to be an arduous process of working by phone with their technician to connect it to my WiFi. Still, I could receive no T-Mobile service at my home. I packed up the booster, took it back to the T-Mobile store and was told they couldn't accept it. They said I'd have to take it to UPS which I did immediately. All of this was done well within the "buyers remorse" period. After leaving UPS I went back to the store on Davis St in San Leandro and asked if they would cancel my account and refund my deposit for the signal booster. They said they couldn't do it. It had to done by phone directly with T-Mobile. I called T-Mobile directly and they said it had to be done in the store. Back to the store on Davis street. They said they are not a company store and that it would have to be done directly by T-Mobile. Called T-Mobile again and was told that I had to go to a company store and that the closest one was at Bay Fair Mall. I told them that I'd been to T-Mobile stores 4 times already and I didn't want to run all over town because of their inability to live up to their own commitments. I asked if they recorded my timely cancellation of the service and if they had received the signal booster that I had returned by UPS? The T-Mobile representative said "Yes" to both but said that I would still have to go to the store for some unspecified reason. I declined to waste any more gas attempting to solve their incompetence so I told them I would would simply dispute the credit card charge then they could fight with the bank to get the money that I don't owe them. That was in June. It's September now and it's still on my credit card bill. The moral of the story is despite your indisputable buyer's remorse, don't trust T-Mobile's promise to live up to their stated, advertised commitment to honor their so-called "Buyers Remorse Program." First things first when walking into the store, the layout and friendly staff greeted me and checked on what I needed. I came in to start a plan on a new iPhone 6s with a great service plan for world traveling since I just got a passport. It was easy as ever. I had the retail store associate ALYAS L. he was one of the, nicest most helpful staff to help me purchase an iphone. I try to be a smart consumer and not only was Alyas truthful about the iphone 6s, but he helped me with how to use it and different tips and tricks to maximize the use of my iphone. Of course, the price was huge for me, especially being on a budget and he clearly stated the prices and wasn't a pushy associate who wanted the extra add on. I ordered a phone online for my mom for Mother's day. An upgrade from her current phone. It prompted me to the CV store at 580 Market Place to pick up my phone at curbside. Unfortunately they're closed. I went to the San Leandro store. Waited my turn & they explained I had to re-order the phone and repay. Of course I would be reimbursed eventually. I explained I wanted to surprise her and did not want the new phone activated. They said no problem! Needless to say they deactivated my mom's current phone and activated the new phone. Long story short, very unprofessional. Went back, no line this time. I opened the store door & was scolded by an employee telling me I had to wait outside until I'm called. She then opened the door & asked " what do you need"? Avoid coming here at all cost. I'm considering canceling my contract with AT&T. Not worth the hassle. read more

Sorry this lengthy review, but it needs to said. On 12/26/16 My wife and I visited this T-Mobile store located: at 15555 E. 14th Street, Suite 320 San Leandro CA. We went into the store to switch over 2 lines from Sprint to T-Mobile and 1 line from Verizon. I met with a sales representative known as "Will". We told Will that the 2 Sprint lines were not under a contract and that we were leasing the iPhones from Sprint under a device lease plan. We also told him the that 1 Verizon line was not under contract and the phone was owned by us. We further asked if we needed to return the iPhones to Sprint. We were told "no because T-Mobile would be purchasing the iPhones from Sprint. We are also told that T-Mobile would be paying off the balance owned on the device leasing plan for the 2 Sprint iPhones. When I received my final bill in the amount of $521 from Sprint I uploaded the bill into the T-Mobile reimbursement website, I would like to also add that I was never told about the need to upload this document until I later returned to the store on January 10th asking for help. A few weeks later I started to receive emails from Sprint asking for the unpaid balance of $521, I called and asked Sprint if they received the iPhones back from T-Mobile or a payment for the iPhones? They replied "No we have not received either the iPhones or a payment". About 2 weeks later I received a pre-paid MasterCard from T-Mobile in the amount of $140, this was not enough to pay the Sprint balance owed of $521. After further researching this matter on the T-Mobile website I found out that under a device payment plan T-Mobile will only reimburse the customer the difference between the trade in value of the phone and payment balance owed to the former carrier. The calculation for pre-paid MasterCard I received from T-Mobile was as follows: 1st Sprint iPhone device lease termination fee $235 - T-Mobile device trade in value $165 = $70.00 2nd Sprint iPhone device lease termination fee $235 - T-Mobile device trade in value $165 = $70.00 Pre-paid MasterCard ($140.00) Long story short my wife and I were mislead by the T-Mobile sales representative and the details of the T-Mobile reimbursement offer were not fully explained at the time of purchase. I visited the store two times asking to speak with "Will" and both times he was not present. The last time I asked an employee what is next scheduled day at work, and I received an answer. I decided not to go back to speak with Will was too upset and also I did not think he could fix this issue. I will not be continuing my business with T-Mobile at the end of my 2 year contract, I will not be recommending T-Mobile to any of my friends or family. read more

I would even go as far as saying it is the best experience that I have ever had at a cell phone store, and I have been with t mobile, sprint, and at&t in the past. The store is brand new and not very crowded, so I was given the employees undivided attention as I selected a new phone. They helped me figure out the best way to get the best deal! I had a really good experience at this location today. I came in the store rather frustrated with my phone. I was immediately greeted by at pleasant employee, who asked if I needed any help. He put my name on the waitlist, but still ask why I came in. I did not need as much service as I had originally thought, and he was able to tell me what I need to do to fix my problem with my phone without me having to wait. He was awesome! I went to that branch for a simple SIM card, which is something I have done at multiple T-mobile stores before for free. After waiting for 15 mins for someone to help me. Then Liz (maybe the manager there) told me it will cost $10 for each SIM card. I have never once been charged for a SIM. I called customer care later and asked whether SIMs are free if I go into a store. They said yes. I told them this branch wanted to charge me, and the agent said surprisingly, "Why would they do that??" I have nothing against T-mobile, but this branch made me upset. First time writing a review. I had the worst experience at this location. I walk in and the store is empty except for 2 customers. Both are being helped. I walk up to a woman standing at the counter doing nothing and she was so bothered by my asking for help. Her name is Ana Cecilia. I realize the job is a job and probably not her life long dream and it probably was a long day but... It is your job to provide good, I don't even expect excellent customer service. It was such a chore for her and she made it clear to me I was a bother. Maybe this was an off day for her. I hope. I wonder if there was changeover of staff at this store considering many negative past reviews....when we went in to do the 4 line special, we were greeted immediately and told there was a short wait....about three minutes! Trevor was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and totally non-pressure. The manager even came over for extra discounts and two other staff helped us also. Great teamwork!
