DONT USE THESE PEOPLE Let me start off by saying that if I could give zero stars I would but Yelp doesn't allow that. I called and got a move time for between 4pm-7pm. We sat around (with our phones next to us) until 6:30 never hearing from them so I gave them a call. They said that they tried to reach both myself and my boyfriend a number of times but could not get a hold us. We had our phones on us the whole time and they had the correct numbers so not really sure what happened. When I told the scheduler this she did absolutely nothing for us. We never got movers and had to figure out another option to move. To say the least their customer service is extremely poor. read more

I used Teleport Movers recently when I moved here from out of state. I believe my contact's name was Rigo. The move went great, and they did a great job. The guys were on time and very good. Nothing was broken or damaged, which is impressive considering how fast they unloaded my truck. 4/2/18 - I called Teleport Movers back today after a successful move nearly three years ago, and after referring other business to them since then. After providing the requested address information and specifics for my move, I was both verbally quoted and emailed a promotional rate of $175 for 2 hours. A hour later, I received a call back from Maria, who booked my move, stating that Robert, the manager, noticed that I was too far from their warehouse and was provided a new quote of $390. I requested to speak with him, as the same exact move (1/1) for a family member was $120 cheaper just 2 months ago. He called, and when questioned as to why my quote just more-than doubled, he kept repeating that no other mover will quote a cheaper price for what he called a 'long-distance move'. I explained him that they should honor the original quote I was given, but he refused. I also explained that I provided all of the requested information and that the failure was on their end. He still refused to perform the move for less than $390, telling me that he should be charging me $600 instead. I would recommend contacting a reputable moving company that will honor their quotes, has competent staff, and will place the customer first. What a shame! read more

They had decent and affordable prices per the Groupon they honored for my 2 hours min. I actually received a call from Robert before the movers came and advised I would have an additional mover free of charge. The movers upon arriving carefully wrapped and padded all my furniture they were in and out and as well as at the drop off location. Very pleased! Will use them again in the future. read more

Let's say you have to move this weekend, and this is the only company available to do so. Well in that case you are better off getting a mule a rope and taking it all yourself. I have never seen a customer service so unwilling to help and accommodate what their previous management stated to me. My pre-move total came out to $227, and the previous manager told me that if it went over it wouldn't be too much more. Tell me if paying $1000 total during the move date sounds fair? Because to me $773 in overages does not equal to "not too much more". I talk to the previous manager the same night of the move, and she tells me "Yes, this is not your fault. Fill out this report and we will refund you." So I did exact as she asked, then I tired emailing this previous manager for about a month straight and nothing. Then I find out that they are under new management, and she does not work there anymore (would have been nice if someone told me this instead of me having to find out the hard way). The new manager Robert will not honor what the previous manager told me. This is terrible customer service, and NOT how you do business ... Stay Clear! read more

BUYER BEWARE! We were originally told that our move would only need 2 men and a truck and could be completed in 6 hours. WRONG!!! We should have been given 4 men, 2 trucks, and taken at least 8-10 hours. While they lure you in with affordable prices, the actual cost ends up being DOUBLE WHAT WAS ESTIMATED! Even though the movers were swift there were several problems . 1) Inappropriate Advances by one of the movers 2) Initially not placing items as requested 3) Insisting on cash & not wanting to accept card at end of move. (would have paid cash until fee was increased 4) Initially refusing to give invoice receipt on request (copy of the original had to be made - noted on invoice $75 P/hr) Charged $300. Sent complaint & spoke with contact staff on behalf of Teleport Movers. Staff questioned not reporting on Sunday the move date/ When # called it went to movers ph. Staff don't know about fees/ need to see invoice. I asked Inappropriate Advances,?? Staff said there would be a meeting the next day. That was the end of the exchange. I bought their groupon special for my sons move and very pleased that I did! They showed up between the hours they promised and they honored the price and trip charge I was quoted on the phone. I have dealt with a couple of very shady movers who didn't show up, and one that tried to hold the furniture hostage for more money (Exodus Moving-Do Not Ever Hire the Crooks from Exodus), once they had loaded all of the stuff and arrived at the new place. They didn't demand more money, and got the job done on time! What more could you ask? I highly recommend them and will keep their number for future moves as well. read more

The move out of our house into a PODS container was daunting, but Teleport Movers made it easier!!! From the office staff to the "Maestros" who orchestrated the loading when we sold our previous house to the movers who moved us in our new home 6 months later, the process was seamless. This moving company bailed on us. They initially said that they would arrive at the house from 1-3. They then called us at 3 to say they would be an hour late. An hour later we called them to see where they were, and they said they'd be another hour until they could make it out to the house. We had money in our hands, ready to use their services, and with them pushing us back we just canceled. I would NOT recommend this company at all. We just moved everything ourselves. read more

Teleport Movers did a great job on my small move of high end office furniture. They were prompt and the manager, Robert, stayed in communication the week prior to the move date. The movers were courteous and professional. They wrapped each piece of furniture in blankets and plastic wrap. They disassembled the furniture and reassembled onsite. It took them a bit longer than expected to complete the move but the results were worth it. The trailer they used looked a bit sketchy but they got the job done with it. No complaints. Made arrangements for this company to move me. They agreed to between 3 and 5 pm.Day of move no show no call and would not call back. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL . Had to be out today and now its to late to get anyone else. Left a message on there phone saying I was going to blast them on social media. Get a call 15 minutes later it is now close to 6pm. They sent someone out. My problem is not with the guys that move.ypur furniture they do a fantastic job. It is with the unreliability of the company. These guys are great! I had never used movers before using them, and it was a great experience. Let me start out by saying, I contacted many moving companies. This one was the only one that did not call me 800 times a day after speaking to them. Robert texted me because I missed his first call and gave me a quote via text. Never made me feel like he was pushing me to use teleport movers. He contacted me to re confirm our date a few days before and they arrived at the very beginning of the provided window! Used these guys twice before and loved them. That was over a couple of years of moves. Prices were great and service was fine. Tried to use them again for my latest move coming up. Spent 30 minutes with the customer service manager Robert and seemed like everything was going to work out great again. My current residence is a little tough on restrictions with licenses and certifications but Robert seemed like it would work out great. He booked me for a date that worked and said he would call me back in a few hours. I waited on his call but it never came. I tried calling him and the system continued to hang up on me. I emailed and called more the next day. Finally I get in touch with him and he tells me that it is a scheduling thing now and my move can't be done. I kept pushing the issue and ended up getting him to fess up that he was not interested in taking the job due to all the added hoops they have to jump from my condo. All he had to do was tell me that from the beginning instead of leading me on. Now I am behind the 8-ball on getting an approved mover in less than a week. Very unhappy with this company now and I would never recommend them to anyone. it is so easy to lose a very satisfied customer. Teleport LOSERS is more appropriate moniker. I hired these guys to pack my hobby and office for long-distance move. Because I am too disabled to do much of it myself. Teleport Movers are very expensive for such little bit they do. It took 2 weeks to get an estimate from the "crew chief", also the boss of just local office. When I cut off services because they packed less than half what they estimated they would in an entire week, they wanted a "performance survey". I gave them a very bad review, stating that I packed more than the 2 they sent over. If I wanted them to pack anything that wasn't in the living room, I had to move my belongings into the room where they were packing. I reminded them constantly that the entire house was moving. No need to keep items grouped by room. No need to fill less than half the box. I had already packed about 1/3 of my household - dishes, cooking, most of my hobby, some furniture, several machines. One of the packers put single items in the box with my "padding" still folded. His back was injured, and he didn't want the boxes to be too heavy to lift. I kept reminding HIM in particular that "movers" use dollies. Movers rarely lift anything. And movers NEVER re-arrange boxes so the ones most likely to be crushed are at the top. Boxes with single items get crushed under heavier boxes. But that's exactly how Teleport packed my boxes in the garage and living room. So here I sit, $2,000 withdrawn from my bank account for about 2 days' work. I was charged for 4 days' work. I still have as much packing to do as I did before Teleport Movers arrived. I won't ever make the mistake of using packers that take so long to get anything done. No offer of settlement, no correction to original charge. I am putting the word out to all disabled, especially veterans. Because of Teleport Movers, I am behind on negotiations for disability compensation and pensions. Hasn't been worth it. read more

this was my 3rd time to use Teleport movers. the first two times were fine and I had no issues. This time was totally different and I'll never use them again. Got the Groupon rate for 2 men for 3 hours for a one bedroom apartment. They arrived with 3. They came in to see what needed to be moved and Robert called to say with 2 men, it would be 6 hours. But if I used the extra guy it would only be an additional $35 and they could get it done in 3 hours. With a 30 min delay that was my fault, it was running into 5 hours. I was paying cash and had $330. Robert called to say that if I didn't come up with an additional $225 then they were going to take the things that were still on the truck, to their warehouse until the total bill was paid. By that time, I was so tired that I couldn't think strait. All I knew was that I wanted my stuff in my new apartment. I had to borrow money from a friend. To move a 1 bedroom apartment cost me $555. They had me over a barrel and I feel like I was totally taken advantage of. I'm going to file a complaint with the BBB and I will never use them again or recommend them to anyone. read more

I have used this company many times in the last couple years and have told many people I know to use them bc they have always been great. It's been over a year since I last used them and I don't know if it is due to growth but due to my last experience I will not be using them again which is such a shame bc the guys I had before really were great and so reliable. This time, they were almost 3 hours late and I had to call the office multiple times to try and get a hold of someone to find out when they were coming as they did not communicate the delay at all to me. While nothing ended up being ruined, the condition of the boxes (brand new boxes with holes that looked like they were punched) really put pressure on me to unpack faster to ensure nothing was broken. I was quoted a price that was not what I ended up paying which was frustrating bc the whole experience was so bad and the last thing you want is to pay them more for terrible service. The difference in pay was always an issue in the past as the actual movers and office don't seem aligned. I never minded the difference I paid before bc I felt the movers deserved it due to the great service but this time the difference in the price quoted and the price paid was significant and the movers were really rude and I just wanted to be done with the whole thing. Also want to add that they have you fill out a Angie's List survey after you pay.. which is very awkward to fill out in front of the movers. Overall- The price quoted makes you want to try them but you will end up paying as much as other companies. I hope this was a one-time occurrence but I just wouldn't chance it again bc the experience was so bad and moving is already stressful enough without adding the possibility of this past experience. read more
