Combo B, teriyaki chicken, crunch & California rolls
    Vic V.

My previous reviews are still accurate. Their chicken isn't as good as it used to be, it's chewy and kinda dry without the teriyaki. The sushi, on the other hand, has only gotten better. I like getting the combo that has both and realize now they give much less chicken than before. Their ramen and yaki noodles are ok, I prefer the yaki over the ramen but neither are bomb. I've never tried the burgers. I keep going because of the variety of options and it's close to my house. The owner is pretty nice too.

If you're craving a teriyaki bowl, but also want a little bit of sushi rolls, this is the spot. They serve a variety of things, but the main thing that hit the spot was the teriyaki combo with sushi rolls. It was worth it if you are not trying to go too far for food. Definitely a local spot. It's a little pricey, but I would come again if I'm craving teriyaki with rolls.

Nice rolls and teriyaki!!!! Wasnt expecting much but really enjoyed it! Price is very reasonable too!

    1. The tempura on this sushi roll was fried perfectly! The burger was also comforting! 2. The spot has casual vibes! 3. There are many indoor tables and no outdoor seatings! 4. The staff was friendly and timely with my order! 5. Parking lot is small but not busy! Note: They have ginger and wasabi available upon request! Photo: Dark Knight Roll and School Burger

I just moved to OC, and I'm just trying out the places around my area and found this spot! Food is good, and for a good price! The person who took our order was nice and the ambiance is good! I really love the combo deal I ordered which was only $16! It came with crunch roll and cali rolls (4 pcs each). Would definitely stop by again!

    Combo B

Highly recommend the Teriyaki plate combos, as they are delicious and fill you up. I typically get Combo B; their sushi is pretty good. However, other than that, their other food that I have tried are not worth it: -Bacon Cheese Fries: cheese came out hard instead of melty and few bacon was on them. Doesn't look like the pictures they have up in their store -Burgers: Overpriced and tasted average. Minus points for the soggy bun when I got it -Yaki noodles: Were not bad but were not good either Long story short: Stick to their teriyaki chicken combos.

    Ninza fries

Small but delicious! I had passed this place many times and finally got the chance to eat here. I had the ninza fries which were amazing! It seems as though they make everything fresh and to order. The menu has a lot of variety from burgers to sushi so I will have to come back to try something different! Service was friendly and a man who I assume was either the owner or the manager asked us how everything was.

This place has surprisingly good sushi considering they serve burgers and other things which kinda threw me off at first. I've been getting their baked salmon roll for years, kinda miss when it was still under $15 but I will always support this business. The employees are very nice too. Haven't tried their other stuff but definitely try the sushi, you won't regret it!! Other places stuff their sushi with mostly rice, but this place is mostly filling. Love it

Hadn't been here in over 2 years, but it was still tasty like I remembered. I got the beef teriyaki fries and a California roll and they were flavorful. This place was pretty busy for lunchtime and everyone was trying to do their best to stay 6ft away. I guess I forgot to take a photo of my food because I was so excited to dig in, but it was good!!

Sometimes after an extended day of being in the parks you are looking for something simple, and different than the theme park food! Apollo Burgers provided me with such an amazing experience! The bacon cheeseburger, onion rings and French fries I ordered were all wonderful. The bacon cheeseburger had a great deal of flavor and was very juicy and the bacon was crisp and the cheese was perfectly melted to hold all of the flavors of the burger together. The onion rings were golden brown and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and the French fries were hot and fresh! When you took a bite out of the onion ring, it was so good! The breading was perfect! What was really impressive to me about Apollo Burgers, in addition to the food, was how affordable it all was! The pricing was surprisingly affordable in comparison to what you would pay inside the park. In addition to this the service was excellent! They were very friendly, moved quickly, and were welcoming as well, even though it was late at night! Apollo Burgers was one of the best places I stopped to eat on my entire Disney vacation. It is a place I will definitely visit again on any future trips to Disneyland if I am looking for an awesome burger at a great price.

Apollo Burger is located off Chapman in the intersection of Garden Grove, Orange, and Anaheim (technically Garden Grove though). There's plenty of parking, but it can get crowded when the lunch or dinner rush hits. The interior has a bunch of seating, and the restaurant is very bright and clean. The staff were all super friendly, and everything was made fresh and quickly. I got a bacon cheeseburger and a cheeseburger (sub mayo, add pickles and onions), and both were exactly what you'd look for in an old school, diner-type burger. The ingredients were fresh and the flavors were all great. I also got a chocolate shake which I would venture to say was one of the best chocolate shakes I've had in recent memory. I tried the grilled chicken sandwich as well, but unfortunately that was quite dry as they used pieces of chicken vs a full cutlet, so I would recommend avoiding that. This is a great burger joint in OC, and I absolutely plan to come back. If you're in the mood for a diner burger, this place is absolutely the spot to visit.

Black Tap checks every box for me. It's indoor, self-seating (no tip), and the food is genuinely worth it--especially if you're sharing. My husband and I split two entrees and walked away totally satisfied. The burger was a solid classic (bonus points for it coming pre-split), and the fries alone made it feel like a win for the price. But the real star? The chicken. Dang. Still thinking about it. Perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the trio of sauces made it feel like three different meals in one. Each one totally changed the flavor in the best way. All in all, Black Tap just earned its spot as our go-to in Downtown Disney.

The burger was really good and the fries were decent. The fried mozzarella was really good, but the grated cheese, which I believe was Parmesan, wasn't really needed. The fried mozzarella did well on its own and that cheese on top was an absolute salt bomb. The chocolate shake was flavorful and very interesting. PRO's: a pretty decent burger, and fries. Also, the staff was amazing. I hope management is proud of their employees because they did an outstanding job. CON's: the fries needed seasoning, the grated cheese on the fried mozzarella was way too salty. And unfortunately, they are incredibly overpriced!! We shared this meal and our bill with tax and tip was over $80.

I wanted to share some comprehensive feedback regarding a recent experience, aiming to highlight both your successes and areas where further refinement could elevate the customer journey even further. First and foremost, I must commend your team for their exceptional warmth and hospitality. From my initial phone call to the moment I picked up my order, I felt genuinely welcomed and valued. This level of customer service, which often feels lacking in many establishments today, truly sets American Grub apart. It creates a welcoming atmosphere that significantly enhances the overall experience, and I sincerely hope this commitment to friendliness remains a cornerstone of your operation. However, I encountered a couple of points that, in my personal opinion, warrant consideration for improvement. Regarding the payment process, I felt a degree of apprehension about providing my credit card details over the phone. While I understand the operational need to secure orders and prevent potential losses, particularly for larger transactions, for a single item like my bacon cheeseburger, priced at $17.24 including tax, this practice felt somewhat disproportionate. I also noted the 99-cent fee for online payments, which, while minor, might deter some customers who are seeking convenience without additional charges. Perhaps exploring alternative secure payment links for phone orders or adjusting the fee structure for smaller transactions could enhance customer comfort and streamline the process. My primary concern, however, arose upon returning home. Despite ordering a bacon cheeseburger, I discovered the burger completely lacked bacon, as well as any form of sauce or mayonnaise. This oversight had a significant impact on the meal; the absence of these core components rendered the burger quite bland and far from the experience I had anticipated. When ordering a single item, the expectation for meticulous attention to detail is particularly high, as there are fewer variables. Consequently, the overall value of the meal, given the missing ingredients, was not quite met on this occasion. I did reach out to the owner privately via email to discuss these points, and I appreciate their responsiveness and transparency in addressing my feedback, particularly concerning the rationale behind the phone payment policy. It is reassuring to know that your business is open to customer input. My hope is that these observations can serve as constructive input, allowing American Grub to continue refining its excellent service and product quality. I remain a supporter of your local endeavor and look forward to seeing these aspects addressed. Thank you for reaching out. To clarify, all my reviews and communications are crafted solely from my personal experiences and genuine perspectives, not AI. Every word and insight you read is authentically mine, driven by my commitment to provide honest feedback. Even though the review was long..(lol) I wanted to make sure the details are accurate and understandable. Plus I think you and your establishment are great and I wanted to detail that as well Kimberly.
