I came here on a whim, looking for a single entree meal for myself to eat for dinner. This meant the lunch specials were over, but he still kindly allowed me to order a lunch box since I wasn't looking to buy a big order of chicken. He also let me taste test the chicken with a spicy sauce he recommended, which I thought was super generous of him since it was pretty much a few extra pieces of chicken for free. Although the chicken wasn't as crispy as I wanted to be, it could have been the sauce and the closed to-go container that made it like that. Despite the lack of crunch, the flavor was very good and the rice that came with it had some type of chili/onion topping which gave it so much more zing. The chicken was also served on a bed of shredded green onion which was a nice touch since I love onions. All in all, the food was good and Jae's service and welcoming vibes were outstanding, so I definitely plan on coming back to support him and his business.

The rice is yummy and sticky, everything just blew my tastebuds away. I promise it's so worth it. I think they just opened up recently and I promise it's worth it. The family who runs it is so sweet, service is great. The inside is also pretty spacious, decent amount of seating, I highly recommend!

They also brought biscuits to the table, which were amazing so soft, warm, and buttery! Our food came out within about 10 minutes of ordering, which was impressive, especially for a Friday night. I figured it would be the same great food in a different setting, but unfortunately, my experience was pretty disappointing. First, I want to say that the person who took my order was very nice and friendly. Customer service at the counter was pleasant, and I appreciated that. As for the Anaheim Packing District itself, it's definitely a vibe. The atmosphere is lively, there's live music, and it's a fun place to walk around and explore. That said, it is very loud. The live music adds to the energy, but if you're looking for a quieter meal or conversation, be prepared for a lot of noise. Now, onto the food. The biggest disappointment was the baked beans. They didn't just have a hint of chili flavor they tasted like an actual bowl of chili. I'm talking to the point where I felt like I should've been eating them with crackers, shredded cheese, and sour cream instead of alongside catfish. I've had Georgia's baked beans before at the Irvine location, and this was nothing like what I expected. I also requested my catfish to be fried soft, but it still came out fried hard. The fish wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't cooked the way I asked, and it ended up being drier than I prefer. The mac and cheese was another letdown. The noodles were very mushy, and it seemed like they were buried under a thick layer of cheese rather than being creamy and well-balanced. It just didn't have the texture or consistency I was hoping for. One thing I also noticed was that I didn't receive the complimentary cornbread that I've gotten at the Irvine location. Maybe that's only offered for dine-in or varies by location, I honestly don't know, but it was something I was expecting based on my previous experiences. Overall, this visit just didn't live up to the standard I've come to expect from Georgia's. Since I've had consistently good meals at the Irvine Spectrum location, I'm hoping this was just an off day for the Anaheim kitchen. Unfortunately, with the baked beans tasting like chili, the over-fried catfish, and the mushy mac and cheese all in one meal, I left feeling pretty disappointed. I still enjoy Georgia's as a restaurant, but after this experience, I'll be sticking with the Irvine Spectrum location.

Came into bb.q chicken Anaheim with a couple friends after almost visiting house of Shabu shabu II,…read moreafter this caught our eye in the same parking lot. When we came in, the restaurant was pretty empty but very clean and well air conditioned which is a must right now. We were sat quickly and were able to easily order on the iPad. We ordered the cheese balls, rose tteokbokki, and boneless soy garlic chicken (large). They pretty quickly brought a complimentary side salad to the table which was a crunchy and refreshing shredded cabbage with a thousand island like sauce similar to what you'd be served with Korean katsu. Our cheese balls came out next. We were expecting something a bit more savory, but to our surprise, they were quite sweet. It tasted almost like a donut, if you've had the Korean rice donuts filled with red bean or sweet cream cheese, these tasted like the latter, but with some sort of melting cheese like mozzarella also mixed in. While it wasn't what we were necessarily looking for, they were very tasty, but I don't think we'd get it with chicken again. I really like the tteokbokki here. They're heavy on the veggies like cabbage, which I actually enjoy about it. It holds the sauce in a way the rice cakes just don't. Their sauce is also lightly sweet and not too rich or spicy. It makes the dish go down a lot easier than other versions of it. The chicken came out last, and was impressive as expected. You may expect boneless chicken to be dry or flavorless, but bb.q chicken somehow manages to avoid all that while still achieving a satisfying crunch all while covered in sauce. Even their sauced chicken is somehow still crispy, which I think is owed mostly to their breading and frying methods, as well as the conservative amount of sauce they put on it (which we appreciate). I would definitely return to this location for Korean fried chicken. The Irvine one wall has also been reliable in my experience. The only location which has been consistently bad is the Fullerton location, whose ambiance, service, and food have been lackluster on the multiple occasions I've been there, which is surprising for a chain like this. Two thumbs up for Anaheim tho.

We did count and there were slightly more than 16 pieces, but the chicken didn't taste like usual and tasted cheap. Heavily breaded than what I remember. Didn't look thoroughly cooked...meat was pink here and there, it made me anxious to eat. You know how you can taste when the oil isn't fresh? It tasted greasy. Sweet potato fries, pickled radish, all looked smaller in portion too. Not sure if I'll order again. It's a shame because I do crave kfc from time to time.
