After new owners, I had china wall. It was downhill but I thought maybe my favorite trash Chinese place had an off day. I tried it again and it's even worse! They also removed items off the menu from the previous 2 owners. Sad to say I'll never go back, but life moves on. The last time I got an egg flower soup. It was BRIGHT orange and ZERO flavor. Disappointment. Also got a 2item. The fried rice was DRY. The broccoli beef had ZERO broccoli lol. The bbq pork was either hard and dry or pure fat. Waste of money! read more

Ever since the ownership changed after New Year's, it hasn't been the same especially the portion sizes. The previous owners (and servers) used to give generous scoops, which made the food feel worth the price. With the new team, it feels like they're holding back or rationing portions. Sometimes, depending on who's serving you'll get a decent amount, but there's one guy in particular who serves like he's afraid to put more on your plate. They mentioned they still have the same chefs, but overall it just doesn't feel the same anymore, and it's not really worth going to. I used to go there a lot. See photo for proof... the BBQ portion I received had only a few pieces, and I was also charged extra for the coconut shrimp (+$1). This isn't what I expected. read more

I Gave china wall another try and I'm coming back again they improved. They are listening to their customers on yelp

They served and packed the food so well! They gave a huge portion, which was great. The cooks here definitely know what they're doing because the food is delicious. This place is absolutely worth it I was honestly amazed by how much food they packed. read more

I went here two years ago when I was 18. It was sometime before I started University. The food was so good that when I was younger, my dad would take me here to eat Chinese food. My late grandma loved the food here. The workers are kind and know what you want if you point at the food. The inside of this place is the same as it was all these years ago. It also reminds me of the summer of 2023 when things went super crazy for me. The orange chicken is just so good and addicting. I'm sure that Panda Express's infamous orange chicken would rival with this place. read more

Ok service but the taste is kinda nasty. Clean restaurant. Quiet and ok. Just not my cup of tea. I ordered teriyaki chicken and it tastes like stale boiled chicken read more

Pretty big portions for my two item combo! I'd say it's a bang for your buck and such friendly service. I got orange chicken, BBQ pork, half chow Mein/fried rice! The quality of food is great, definitely tastes fresh and homemade especially the orange chicken! The orange chicken was so juicy imo and BBQ pork had just the right amount of flavor. Prices as of Nov 2023, subject to change: 1 item combo $9.99 2 item combo $10.99 3 item combo $12.69 Haven't tried their drinks yet but they have a variety of unique ones including horchata milk tea, Neapolitan latte, cookies and crème! read more

This place is my favorite hole in the wall Americanized Chinese food place in the area. You can also order shrimp chips, which my son and I love. Prices are reasonable and serving sizes are huge. I usually order from here for dinner knowing I can eat the rest for lunch the next day. read more

Picked my food up around 12:00pm and the. Took my food home, it was cold but they had just opened, They must've used the nights prior food and did not allow it warm up under the heat lamp no big deal. But then I see a hair in my food. Disgusting. They couldn't even say hello when I walked in the door I had to greet them which is fine but it tells you how much they care. I should've just gone to yogis WTH. read more

I've eaten at a lot of Chinese food places ( buffets and quick to go) around the oc area and this probably has to be ranked as one of the least favorite ones. First off I poked my mouth with a toothpick that was in the orange chicken. Thank god I wasn't bleeding. Orange chicken was soggy and lacked flavor. I also got the beef brocolli and the meat just tasted bland. Rice and chow mein is average. Best thing here was the soda. read more

Haven't been in a while, went to grab a quick lunch. It was horrible, all the food was cold, chicken tasted like rubber, chow main noodles were cold, broccoli beef was horrible and veggies were cold and gooey couldn't even eat any of it. I'm scared im going to wake up sick. It went straight to the trash. $14.50 down the drain- I'll be driving the extra 5 min to Panda Express next time! read more

Unfortunately, the Chow Mein tasted like overcooked noodles that tasted just like that. Just noodles, no veggies or taste. The Orange Chicken tasted like flour covered chicken nuggets. They did not provide soy sauce to make this food taste like something. What happened?!?!? read more

Still the same consistency. Never changed. Love how they still give large amounts. The orange chicken is a little more crunchy and the bbq pork is on point. Definitely a spot to hit up if you're around. read more

Recently they have new owners..... very friendly but they changed all the recipes.... Used to love love love this place..... I understand prices going up but not food quality and quantity going down. I'm writing this to call out the blatant dishonesty at China Wall off Brookhurst and Ball. I ordered Kung Pao Chicken, a specific, well-known dish, and they tried to give me something completely different, like I wouldn't know the difference. When I told them it wasn't what I ordered, the woman got mad at me instead of correcting the mistake. Don't lie to the public. Don't advertise one thing and serve something else. That's misleading and disrespectful. If you mess up, own it. If you can't handle that, you shouldn't be running a restaurant. I do not recommend China Wall to anyone. Negative zero stars for the attitude, the dishonesty, and the flat-out bait-and-switch. read more

I would say China Wall has a decent quality of Chinese food. My favorite would have to be their wonton soup. It's the perfect soup if it's cold or if you're feeling under the weather. Service is quick since it's Chinese fast food. I would recommend going there earlier in the day since the amount of options can be limited towards closing hours. read more

I ordered a plate with half chow mein, half rice, orange chicken, and broccoli beef. Most of the food was decent, but the broccoli beef was a big disappointment. It was so nasty I had to spit it out. The broccoli was also so mushy and overcooked. To make matters worse, I found a hair in it, and the overall appearance was unappetizing. Wouldn't return. read more

Big portions and lots of options. But the food lacks taste and seasoning. The sweet & sour park is mediocre but the BBQ pork is worth the up charge. The fried rice and chow main has not much taste to it and the orange chicken is large pieces. Overall I would still come back but just add my own salt and pepper read more

The food is just not that good. I got the honey shrimp that was $1 extra and I just believe it should be $1 less. You can't taste the shrimp due to how breaded the shrimp is. Maybe add some walnuts? Food is really just not that good, very bland. No flavor. On the good side, they did serve you a lot of food for a good price. read more

I ordered 3 items that contained beef but the beef was inedible. They used too much baking soda to tenderize the beef and left a bitter taste on the beef. Grubhub credited just one entree instead of 3. I ate around the beef but one dish was Mongolian triple delight w/beef chicken & shrimp w/ onions. There was more beef than chicken & shrimp, just not good. I can't order from here- beef dishes especially. I'll have to find someplace else. read more

Absolutely LOVE!! so fast, so accommodating, well priced, and delicious. A hidden gem tucked into a little strip mall/ shopping complex. We order shrimp fried rice and shrimp lo mein/chow mein every time we get Chinese. Many places skimp on the shrimp and charge an excessive amount for extras. This place is NOT like that. We payed $1 extra for 3-4 pieces of shrimp each and $1 for extra onions on mine and egg on his. There was almost TOO much shrimp lol. They HEAPED on the portions to the point where they could not even close one of our boxes. Everything tasted fresh (not like that old grease taste you sometimes get with Chinese) and the cabbage had just the right amount of crunch. They were busy but so fast and efficient. The whole place is clean, bright, and open. Staff wore masks and social distancing was in effect with both the tables as well as tables keeping people back from the food/ sneeze guards. Masks not required for customers. High chairs were CLEAN clean. Hand sanitizer available. We were so happy with our experience we returned a few days later with our son read more

The best Chinese I have found to date. It's simple, amazing, and delicious The staff are always friendly and the food is fresh and just amazing My favorite is always The House Fried Rice and an order of Creme Cheese Wontons, which they make right there fresh read more

China Wall has been my local go-to spot for fast chinese food for the past two years and it is my absolute favorite. When I get here bright n early at 11am just after they open, the food on the steam table is just full and hot and glistening and gorgeous. When I get here right before closing, the options are halved, the veggies slightly wilted, but still just as delicious as in the morning. When I eat at China Wall, I am very rarely disappointed, often delighted, and always satisfied. Their portions are generous, and I get 1 and a half to maybe 3 meals from a 3 item combo. I usually get a three item combo and some of my favorite options are: honey walnut shrimp, beef and broccoli, kung pao chicken or shrimp, and spicy chicken. I remember I did try their orange chicken once or twice but I vaguely recall not really enjoying them or feeling kind of bad for my arteries about eating them, so I don't order it anymore (But somehow I decided that it's ok to eat fried rice and chow mein and honey walnut shrimp every time, so I dunno, maybe I didn't really like the orange chicken? YMMV.). I really like their vegetable egg rolls, which they make fresh for you, by way of the cashier talking into a little mic that feeds into a speaker in the kitchen. I find the booming voice blasting through the back-of-house kind of hilarious and excessive and such a nice lil thing I get to think about throughout the day. So about these veggie egg rolls: they are very obviously made in-house, and they are consistently fresh and big and delicious. And they're served piping hot right out of the fryer. I will let other people take bites of everything else in my three item combo, but I will never share these. Spicy Pro Tip: If you like spicy and savory stuff, ask for the lil 2oz container of chili oil which they keep on top of the glass counter (sneeze guard?). It's 50 cents extra but it'll be the best 50 cents you've ever spent on yourself. They make the chili oil in-house and it takes your meal to a whole 'nother level. It is a game changer. Whatever you put it on goes from pretty-good to super-great. I highly recommend; you will not regret it. I do have to say that the spiciness level weirdly varies wildly from batch to batch; once it was literally not spicy at all, just garlicky and savory, and this most recent batch had me sweaty and dribbling boogers. I don't know why it's so spicy this time or why it wasn't spicy at all last time, but it has undoubtedly been the best 50 cents I've invested in myself. The inside: The space is pretty wide open, with a few tables along the sides. Great for social distancing. You will never have to be closer than 6 feet to anyone the entire time you're in there. It's chill, everyone who works there is really nice. I think they recognize me now, and they make my day. I have literally never walked out of there feeling bad. This is pretty important for me because I am a sensitive baby. I have also noticed that the people who work here give a hoot. They just give a hoot. They take pride in the food they serve and it's not a chain chinese fast food joint, it's a pocket of the asian diaspora making americanized chinese food that's good for your soul. It's like half a dozen grown adults preparing and serving food the real way. What a treat. So yeah: food hot n yum, even better with chili oil; quick n chill service; they yell into a echo-y mic if you order certain fried foods, nice people. The people who eat here are nice too. My absolute favorite. read more

China Wall - 1- 3 Item Combo and 1- 2 Item Combo - Chinese Near Me - Anaheim, California

So I'm in the area and craving some Chinese and stop at a place. And they didn't have what I was looking for so out comes the phone so I can YELP myself out of the predicament I'm in. It tells me of this place so I decide to give it a shot. I walk in and am promptly greeted by two nice ladies with smiles on their face. So I give the counter a fast glance and decided on the kung pow chicken and Kung pow beef with a side of barbecue pork and all noodles. The chicken was good and the beef was so tender and full of flavor. The pork was ok just got a little salty but other than that it was a good place to get a fast bite. read more
