I went here two years ago when I was 18. It was sometime before I started University. The food was so good that when I was younger, my dad would take me here to eat Chinese food. My late grandma loved the food here. The workers are kind and know what you want if you point at the food. The inside of this place is the same as it was all these years ago. Ever since the ownership changed after New Year's, it hasn't been the same especially the portion sizes. The previous owners (and servers) used to give generous scoops, which made the food feel worth the price. With the new team, it feels like they're holding back or rationing portions. Sometimes, depending on who's serving you'll get a decent amount, but there's one guy in particular who serves like he's afraid to put more on your plate. They mentioned they still have the same chefs, but overall it just doesn't feel the same anymore, and it's not really worth going to. I used to go there a lot. I've been coming to china wall for about 15 years now and they recently have new owners. Everything has changed the atmosphere the quality of food has gotten better and the change of prices went up a few bucks. The cups have changed and are made of thick paper after 1 refill the cup gets more brittle and leaks that's the only bad thing over all the service was amazing. read more

First off I poked my mouth with a toothpick that was in the orange chicken. Thank god I wasn't bleeding. Orange chicken was soggy and lacked flavor. I ordered Kung Pao Chicken, a specific, well-known dish, and they tried to give me something completely different, like I wouldn't know the difference. When I told them it wasn't what I ordered, the woman got mad at me instead of correcting the mistake. Don't lie to the public. Don't advertise one thing and serve something else. That's misleading and disrespectful. If you mess up, own it. If you can't handle that, you shouldn't be running a restaurant. I do not recommend China Wall to anyone. The food is just not that good. I got the honey shrimp that was $1 extra and I just believe it should be $1 less. You can't taste the shrimp due to how breaded the shrimp is. Maybe add some walnuts? China Wall has been my local go-to spot for fast chinese food for the past two years and it is my absolute favorite. When I get here bright n early at 11am just after they open, the food on the steam table is just full and hot and glistening and gorgeous. When I get here right before closing, the options are halved, the veggies slightly wilted, but still just as delicious as in the morning. When I eat at China Wall, I am very rarely disappointed, often delighted, and always satisfied. Their portions are generous, and I get 1 and a half to maybe 3 meals from a 3 item combo. I usually get a three item combo and some of my favorite options are: honey walnut shrimp, beef and broccoli, kung pao chicken or shrimp, and spicy chicken. I remember I did try their orange chicken once or twice but I vaguely recall not really enjoying them or feeling kind of bad for my arteries about eating them, so I don't order it anymore (But somehow I decided that it's ok to eat fried rice and chow mein and honey walnut shrimp every time, so I dunno, maybe I didn't really like the orange chicken? YMMV.). I really like their vegetable egg rolls, which they make fresh for you, by way of the cashier talking into a little mic that feeds into a speaker in the kitchen. I find the booming voice blasting through the back-of-house kind of hilarious and excessive and such a nice lil thing I get to think about throughout the day. So about these veggie egg rolls: they are very obviously made in-house, and they are consistently fresh and big and delicious. And they're served piping hot right out of the fryer. I will let other people take bites of everything else in my three item combo, but I will never share these. Spicy Pro Tip: If you like spicy and savory stuff, ask for the lil 2oz container of chili oil which they keep on top of the glass counter (sneeze guard?). It's 50 cents extra but it'll be the best 50 cents you've ever spent on yourself. They make the chili oil in-house and it takes your meal to a whole 'nother level. It is a game changer. Whatever you put it on goes from pretty-good to super-great. I highly recommend; you will not regret it. I do have to say that the spiciness level weirdly varies wildly from batch to batch; once it was literally not spicy at all, just garlicky and savory, and this most recent batch had me sweaty and dribbling boogers. I don't know why it's so spicy this time or why it wasn't spicy at all last time, but it has undoubtedly been the best 50 cents I've invested in myself. The inside: The space is pretty wide open, with a few tables along the sides. Great for social distancing. You will never have to be closer than 6 feet to anyone the entire time you're in there. It's chill, everyone who works there is really nice. I think they recognize me now, and they make my day. I have literally never walked out of there feeling bad. This is pretty important for me because I am a sensitive baby. I have also noticed that the people who work here give a hoot. They just give a hoot. They take pride in the food they serve and it's not a chain chinese fast food joint, it's a pocket of the asian diaspora making americanized chinese food that's good for your soul. It's like half a dozen grown adults preparing and serving food the real way. What a treat. So yeah: food hot n yum, even better with chili oil; quick n chill service; they yell into a echo-y mic if you order certain fried foods, nice people. The people who eat here are nice too. Absolutely LOVE!! so fast, so accommodating, well priced, and delicious. A hidden gem tucked into a little strip mall/ shopping complex. We order shrimp fried rice and shrimp lo mein/chow mein every time we get Chinese. Many places skimp on the shrimp and charge an excessive amount for extras. This place is NOT like that. We payed $1 extra for 3-4 pieces of shrimp each and $1 for extra onions on mine and egg on his. There was almost TOO much shrimp lol. They HEAPED on the portions to the point where they could not even close one of our boxes. Everything tasted fresh (not like that old grease taste you sometimes get with Chinese) and the cabbage had just the right amount of crunch. They were busy but so fast and efficient. The whole place is clean, bright, and open. Staff wore masks and social distancing was in effect with both the tables as well as tables keeping people back from the food/ sneeze guards.
