I came for the delicious looking crispy chicken sandwich, and I left ordering sushi! Boy was I impressed didn't expect to find a little sushi spot right down the street from me, it was fresh, tasty and budget friendly! Soon as I came in was greeted by the waiter and showed me to a table, very polite and attentive. The restaurant was small but very nice inside didn't expect the decor, and big wide screen tvs with live games on with the playoff hockey and baseball. I'll be back to enjoy a beer and a game and check out this crispy chicken sandwich. Also some of the other sushi and sashimi combos. I ordered the sushi lunch special/sushi and sashimi combo. Comes with 4pieces sashimi (tuna/salmon) sushi 5pieces (chefs choice) cali roll 8pieces. I also ordered another sushi roll the lemon roll with salmon and yellowtail. The fish cuts were fantastic, nice cuts kudos to the chef. The cali roll was actually really good, I liked the crab and cucumber. Sushi rice was good that can make or break sushi. The place is nice and clean. I went in to try the chicken cutlet curry, but it was pretty disappointing. I will never go there again for the curry, but it seems like the rest of the customers were ordering sushi so I'll consider that for next time. There was one server and he got slammed with taking care of a bunch of tables. There's plenty of parking here. read more

We all came to celebrate the holidays together since some of us won't be available on Christmas and we found this wonderful spot that served something for everyone in the family. We nearly ordered everything on the menu and everything came out promptly and well-made! I have zero complaints and every bite of food we had here was well made and tasted delicious. The parking is really easy in a plaza. At first I was a bit hesitant to stay and eat because it was empty and REALLY HOT in there. Luckily I think the AC was turned on since we went in but be careful if you sit by the windows because it will burn your skin if you touch the black part. As time went on and we got our food, we realized why they had such good ratings! The spicy chicken sandwich was amazing! We asked for extra spicy and they did not hold back! 10/10! Stopped by for takeout around noon. Got one of my favorites, the pepper salmon roll, and a john's roll. Both were delicious, filling, and fresh. They're always surprisingly empty considering the quality of service and food. Seriously such an underrated spot, I hope they stick around. One of the servers gave me a cup of ice water without being prompted, even though I was only there for ordering out. I've noted in a past review how attentive and helpful they are here. Been to some good sushi places but I really don't think you can beat the price point, quality of food, and service combined. Hopefully they get more customer flow! read more

I ordered medium spice for my sandwich. My chicken sandwich was very saucy which made it a little difficult to eat because it was falling apart. However, it was enjoyable to eat. The outside seems like a hole in the wall location, but the inside of the restaurant was clean and nice. Service was okay. I went on a Saturday evening a the place was basically empty, and it took a minute for my party to get utensils, and place our order in. I personally just did not like the quality of the sashimi I ordered as it tasted icy and frostbitten. I also did not like the taste of the rice from my salmon sushi. It tasted very starchy and a bit watery like it hadn't been completely dried. When I brought my complaints to the server they said I could switch it out for something else, which is why I ordered the salmon, and I assumed it would be taken off the bill. Which it was not. I was then told I'd get a 40% discount off the item. I was still made to pay full price for the sashimi and given the 40% on my salmon item, which wasn't what was agreed upon. The server told me the owner wouldn't do anything better as the sashimi is expensive, but the quality was not there at all and I barely ate any of the dish. It wasn't even worth the back and forth so I just paid and went on with my night. I wouldn't go back here or recommend this spot to anyone else. read more

We had really high hopes due to the recent yelp reviews, left the place disappointed. The lady was very sweet, but couldn't really give us popular recommendations. Overall, they didn't really check in on us at all because they were busy chatting with their friends. We did come at around 6:00pm, which is on the later end. We got the Sweet Koko Gang Jung and the Chicken Katsu w/ an extra side of rice. The food was pretty mediocre, although the chicken katsu portion is big. I wish we had more information on the Koko Gang Jung, because we didn't know it was boneless. It was all bite sized and not tender; it was pretty hard and a bit stale. The Chicken Katsu was extremely soggy and not that flavorful, which is really unfortunate. We ended up being full due to the portion size, but still not satisfied. We hope we can give this another chance, since clearly from past reviews, our experience is not the norm. read more

Wow! Loved this restaurant. While on vacation we were looking for something close to our hotel for an early dinner. This was about 15-20 minutes down the road. So happy we found Kokodeck! Parking was no problem, the outside is subtle, but the inside is new, clean and has a warm feeling when you go inside. The menu is updated and fresh, we decided on trying a crunch salmon roll, popcorn crawfish roll, Fish Katsu plate, miso soup and to our delight we tried the pepper salmon. Each of these items were delicious in there own way. I think for us the star of the show was the popcorn crawfish roll, I think we would get each of these again. I eat a lot of chicken sandwiches so I'm always interested in trying new places. While Kokodeck brought the heat, they didn't bring the flavor. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich at a level spicy. It's the basic chicken sandwich setup with pickles, coleslaw, and sauce. With it seemingly being a Korean influenced place, I expected something more unique and flavorful. The chicken was crispy but overall it was underseasoned. The spice was overpowering as it was a dry heat. I appreciate when a restaurant actually makes their food spicy when they label it as such. The spice was more front loaded and quickly dissipated with some water. What I didn't like was that there wasn't much in terms of flavor. Taking Howlin Rays for example, their sandwich can be pretty spicy but it's so flavorful you just want to keep eating it. There was nothing that made me want to continue eating the sandwich here. I also ordered some chicken wings with the garlic parmesan flavor. It was a standard garlic parmesan sauce that tastes like it was premade.
