Very cute and vibey interior! This was a great reasonably priced place for sushi. It was pretty crowded on a Friday night so would recommend calling in advance if you're looking to go during popular dinner hours. The Fried Gyoza was a nice little appetizer and we were surprised with miso soup (a little watered down) and delicious cabbage salad. The sushi was as expected for the price paid. I'd come here again!

THE BEST! Been coming here for years. The old Miyako owners bought it back and kept the epic menu. Recommend the upon and the Love Roll (pictured).

Having the bento box with short rib & tempura The Korean style rib is tasty tender delicious. The tempura vegs and a shrimp is lite, crunchy, fresh - just perfect. Service was excellent as always. Parking is very easy. Many spaces in a big lot

We just happened to try this sushi restaurant before a movie night at Regal. I'm so glad we did! The sushi rolls were so good and the service was amazing! It's a small restaurant next to the UPS Store so it's easy to miss, but don't sleep on this spot! Definitely recommend! We only took pics of a few rolls, but everything we tried was top notch!

Pretty bomb sushi for a quick to-go. Called in tonight to get the lion king roll and the double triple roll. At first glance the rolls look small from above but I coule barely fit one piece in my mouth - so don't be fooled! Updated menu pics attached since I think it'd be helpful. Cute little restaurant though and the lady who answered the phone and rang me up was sweet.

Miso soup was good but my sushi roll was small! Not worth $14 only 5 pieces... California roll was good but will probably not go back

service was great!! absolutely nothing to complain about, the ladies working were very sweet and attentive. i just felt like it wasn't hitting the spot, especially when im craving sushi. don't get me wrong, it was delicious however for the price, i would give it three star. the place itself was small and a little cramped but ambiance was very chill. not sure if i would go back but will reconsider!

This place is located in a worn down strip mall in Garden Grove that houses the big Regal theatre. We stopped by for dinner before a movie. Place is small but convenient. Service is good. Ordered two rolls and a beer. Nothing spectacular or horrible. Just average sushi joint. Rolls are $15-16 each. I wouldn't run back here for anything special but the location makes it easy enough.

Delicious fresh sushi with friendly service. Shashimi is thick and so fresh. Lots of creative rolls. Even the cabbage salad before the meal is delicious. Highly recommend if you are looking for high quality sushi.

This place is a hidden gem. Excellent quality of fish, fast and polite service, very warm and welcoming. I would definitely come back here!

Not only did we have great sushi but we had great beers that were only 7.95! It was a great experience and I look forward to coming

Is this spot closing 😭 it's been closed a lot lately? Update 8/15- it's still closed.

Yes a person I knew who worked at Miyako, did not get paid for the last 1.5 months prior to the closure of the restaurant. Owner disappeared without saying a word and blocked all forms of communication to all of his employees without paying them.

    Is this place closed down?

Let me know. We drove down about 4 weeks ago and it was closed too :( I hope it's not permanent because we love this restaurant

I love this place ever since my aunt introduced me to it. I moved far and I wouldn't dare eat sushi if it's not from this place. Recently became pregnant (my first pregnancy) and I've talked with my Obgyn. Any safe recommendation of sushi?

The raichi drink was good and the miso carbonara was creamy and the proportion of bacon to pasta was perfect. It is super cute inside as well, but the service was kinda slow because they only had one server for all the tables. I think it's important to compare this to Ini ristorante because I think with this place being new that it is quite similar to Ini especially with the japanese italian fusion concept. I would say it is basically the same price if not more expensive than if you were to go to Ini and I personally think the food, ambiance and service is better at Ini than here. So in the future, I would be open to going back and there was nothing wrong with the restaurant, but I would definitely choose Ini over momonoki just cause I feel like I get more with how much I spend.

Know where you're aiming to go. - There is a sister restaurant named Mono Yama two doors down ...cue to me walking in between aimlessly because my friend recommended the place and all i recalled was "momo". That said, the people were super nice in both places. You can tell it happens often. We went right as it opened, and we got seated right away. The menu is via a QRC on the table. We ordered 3 things - vongole pasta. Previously they offered it uni but this one had claims and shrimp. We also got the pesto and the calamari. Calamari was crispy but it also was slightly too salty and seemed to be a lot of batter. The calamari pieces were small. The pesto pasta was okay, but the pesto wasn't the traditional pesto. I couldn't put my finger on it but it must've been the dashi. The udon was cooked well though. Soft, definitely not al dente. This vongole was the biggest miss. It had a taste that we also couldn't figure out, but it was not enjoyable to eat. We left the meal very dissatisfied. The friend I went with, who has gone before, also agreed it was disappointing. As someone who hates to waste food, we were very close to leaving nearly half of each dish there. My friend ended up taking it back. Later that evening, we both were feeling off. Idk, perhaps it was a coincidence. In the end, it was a truly sad experience.

We made a reservation for a Saturday night and were so excited and it really did not disappoint from start to finish. We got the puff bread with cultured butter with honey and furikake. OMG. The salmon crudo was good, not blown away, but the caprese. Mmm! It came in a ponzu sauce and was this beautiful blend between Italian and Japanese flavors. So good. For our mains, my husband got the Seafood mafaldine and I opted for the Mala lamb pizza. This was such a unique pizza flavor, the hot honey sauce it came with tasted like a spicy, sweet curry and the pizza itself was delicious. Crispy crust, a little bit of cilantro for freshness. So good. To top it all off, we got the Blueberry pavlova and hazelnut cake. Both of these were incredibly indulgent and absolutely worth it. I think we were full for a whole day off this meal. To wash it down, I had the Highball with Suntory whiskey and a Calamansi Sidecar. I loved the assortment of Japanese whisky here, the cocktail menu was more tastefully curated than just trendy. On top of an excellent meal that I will be salivating over for a while, our server Danny was great! Super attentive, friendly, helpful and just a delight. Highly recommend!

I came in during soft opening, so there were some great deals. 99 cent Sapporo on draft and they're actually a decent size for the price tag. Each sushi roll have 5 pieces instead of the usual 8, so that it's a good, "just enough" of a roll. They do have some rolls under 10 dollars. We did order the Sensual Pleasure roll, which was actually still a decent size for a 5 piece roll. It was actually really good. We ordered both the yellowtail and the salmon collar, those were basically melt in your mouth and the skin were nice and crispy. Baked Mussels are a must for me, they're and these ones don't disappoint. The bento box was $20, but it came with so much. I got the Chicken Karaage, beef teriyaki, and the donkatsu. The salad on it had that amazing dressing on it, and of course it had rice. It's very much worth the price, and great for those who don't like fish! We also wanted to try the tonkatsu ramen.
