My favorite sushi place by far super great service and it's honestly not that expensive. The girl in the front is also very sweet and friendly :) can't go wrong with this place plus they are really fast as well !

Food is good... there's a lot to choose from. We tried the deep fried Philly tempura roll and chicken and beef bento box that includes sushi, salad, egg rolls, and rice. Miso soup included. Service is quick. And very easy to order. And you receive a free gyoza when you order over $35 Beef from bento box was my favorite and the egg rolls. The chicken was a little tough but overall good.. miso soup very delicious and Gyoza so good as well. Ordered to go but will be back soon

My kind of place. Quick place to get a sushi fix handled, reasonable prices, and friendly efficient service. We had a couple of rolls and a bento box to go. Very casual place to eat in if you'd like too. I had the zombie roll which hit the spot. Will have to come back and try a couple of other rolls!

The food here is really good! There are a lot of options to choose from. We tend to order the bento box and the udon! The couple who own the place are always friendly and welcoming. We also like to support local mom and pop restaurants. Go support :)

Does yelp let restaurants just edit your order cause I didn't want jalepeños in my Philadelphia roll the option said hot cheeto toppings and low and behold I go back and check and they changed it to jalapeño topping without saying anything... and why was it subbed in for the avocado just put it on top it's an add on. I paid extra for that... and the Jalepeno wasn't even spicy so what even is the point. Also sushi salmon shouldn't look cooked and fall apart that easily. Stick to grilling food and not making sushi, thanks.

The service was quick and easy! Sushi was good and I enjoy the baked salmon roll. I come here often and they are always consistent. The ambiance is comforting pretty standard. Quick bite to eat if you work nearby.

So first thing first, if your looking for a sit down experience this is not it AT ALL!! It's probably good for a quick to go pick up eat at home type meal. Upon walking in this place is super small. Only about 4 small tables. Once we were inside we were not greeted, told to have a seat, or anything. We grabbed the one table available. The lady inside did not bring us a menu, didn't ask us if we needed anything she literally just sat behind the counter and stared at us. Not very welcoming at all. We were just looking around trying to figure out how to order and luckily a lady and her mom just gave us the menu's they had. We picked our items. I went to order and she made me pay before the food was even served ( like a fast food restaurant) the best past of this place was if you spend more than $35 you get a free 5 piece gyoza. We got the sampler. Nothing was amazing. Potato croquette just tastes like bland mashed potatoes, the gyoza and egg rolls were average at best. The lobster roll was cold. And the crunch roll was ok. Everything was served on a paper plate. Never had that before. The gyoza were served on a plastic to go top. ‍ they really need to invest in real dishes if they are going to have a restaurant with the option to sit and eat. If not just make it a to go restaurant. After we ate, again no communication from the server, no thank you nothing. She only talked to us when I ordered the food and that was to tell me the total amount of the food. I did tip, but I definitely shouldn't have.

    The inside of the restaurant.

The help here is very friendly and sweet. The food is excellent and everything inside is clean and bright. The teriyaki bowl is excellent and affordable but their sashimi is always fresh and delicious.

Eating here felt less like going to a restaurant and more like being invited to a home cooked meal. Service by the owners, veggies obviously chopped by hand and still crisp in the ramen broth, cute and homie use of paper plates, unique takes on dishes...sugar crust on the goyza a for example. We were staying nearby at great wolf lodge and ventured out because my 6 year old wanted sushi for her birthday dinner...never expected to find such a gem next to a nearby 711. I thought the baked clams were one of the more tasty things we had. I ordered them after seeing an oler Japanese woman enjoying them. We were fighting over them they were so good. the ramen was better than the sushi, but everything was delicious and so so fresh. No shortcuts taken here. Let a bunch of empty plates and with full stomachs.

It's def more hidden since it's in a business buiding, but there was still a full house when we visited on a Thurs evening for dinner. We waited around 20 mins to be seated. The ordering process was quick, service was friendly, and the food came out quick. Loved both their ramen and apps! PARKING : This location is a bit unique; it's in a courtyard area of a business building! The parking lot out front was pretty empty when we came around 7pm on a Thursday. We followed signs to get into the courtyard with the storefront. FOOD/DRINKS : Tonkotsu Ramen - Pork Chashu, spinach, green onion, seaweed, bean sprout, half egg -- creamy and flavorful broth, love the toppings and the chashu is some of the most tender I've had! Upgraded to Combo to include a small salad + salmon poke rice bowl - Salad dressing was nice and acidic, helped to have some veg between all the decadent bites! Salmon poke was okay, but I like Spicy Tuna more for sure. Quite a bit of rice in the bowl compared to fish. Spicy Cold Dipping Noodle - Bonito dashi broth w/ chili oil, cold noodles with pork chashu, bamboo, kaiware sprouts, bean sprouts, egg, spinach -- Super refreshing and cold! Loved the vinegar-y refreshing dipping broth. Not spicy to me, but had good chili flavor. Crispy Rice w/ Spicy Tuna - spicy tuna, avocado, crispy rice, eel sauce -- rice was soft yet crispy, not too oily. generous amount of spicy tuna. Matcha Latte w/ Azuki Boba - i like to get this when i dine here -- it's not a strong fancy coffeeshop "double matcha" by any means, but it's not trying to be one. It's a nice creamy matcha drink with red bean flavor thrughout and boba at the bottom. I like it as a sweet treat after all the savory foods!

Inside is a small but cozy, clean ambiance. Bear in mind that this place is busy so there will most likely be a wait if you go during peak eating times. I always get the same things here - the tonkotsu ramen and chicken karaage with the garlic sauce and house spicy sauce on the side. Servers are friendly and service is always good, as it should be since they apply an automatic 18% tip on the bill. One complaint I have is the portion size on the ramen - it's almost $20 for a bowl but doesn't have enough noodles as I would like. I always feel content but not full so if they were to add more noodles, it would have been a 5 star for me.

I ordered the Butaton ramen which had everything I like! Minus the bean sprouts. Pretty good bowl of ramen. The noodles were PERFECTLY al dente. The broth was good, but maybe a tiny bit too salty. You could definitely feel/taste the collagen in the broth which was nice. The pork belly was a bit tough and dry though. Portion wise it's pretty small. At first I was considering doing the lunch special where you can add a beef or chashu bowl for an additional $6, but I thought, "Nah, that's going to be too much food." I guess in the end it worked out. I was the perfect level of full/satisfied. However, if you're starving I would definitely recommend doing the lunch special. It's a nice space to dine at for sure! This wasn't just a "ramen joint"--it was a masterclass in authentic Fukuoka-style soul food. The Broth: Liquid Gold The standout was always their Signature Tonkotsu broth. You could literally taste the 30+ hours of labor that went into it. It had that distinct "frothy" texture (the bubble of the bone marrow) that you only find in high-end Hakata shops. It was rich, creamy, and carried a deep umami funk without ever being overly greasy. The Hits * Black Tonkotsu: The roasted garlic oil (mayu) added a smoky, dark complexity that ruined all other garlic ramens for me. * God Fire: For those who like to sweat, this offered the perfect balance of heat without sacrificing the integrity of the pork flavor. * The Karaage: Genuinely some of the best fried chicken in the area. Massive, juicy thigh meat with a shattering, thin crust and that addictive spicy mayo on the side. * Customization: I loved that they let you pick your noodle firmness. "Hard" was the only way to go to ensure that perfect snap with every bite. The Atmosphere The Costa Mesa location always had a great energy--functional, clean, and unpretentious. The staff were always efficient, greeting everyone with a loud "Irasshaimase!" that made the experience feel truly authentic. It's heartbreaking to see such a high-caliber spot leave the neighborhood. If you were lucky enough to eat here, you know we lost a heavy hitter. To the team at Ikkousha: thank you for the memories and the best bowls in the city. You'll be sorely missed! Note: For those still craving that specific broth, their Torrance locations are still holding it down--definitely worth the drive to keep the dream alive. Come back to OC! !

They have the Jiro ramen only on Mondays and I had no idea what that was. We ordered one regular $17 (large is $20 and gigantic) and also ordered a miso ramen. The jiro ramen noodles are totally different. They are a darker brownish colored wheat noodle and thicker than regular ones. It has a nice chewy texture. We opted for no garlic base since some reviewers said it was really strong. They give you a choice to choose fat back in the soup to make it extra rich and also a choice for more or less vegetables. The charsiu pork in this soup is also different than the miso soup. Omg it's so tender, juicy and flavorful. The fat on it is so good and the pieces are thick. Whereas the pork on the miso ramen is thinner, your usual charsiu pork slices, which is more lean but not juicy like the jiro ramen pork. I loved the texture of the thin noodles in the miso ramen as well. The soup base had a garlic taste to it and was accompanied by the bean sprouts and bamboo type vegetables. We also tried the smaller order of the chicken karaage, which was 3 pieces of larger sized pieces. Not small, like your typical karaage. There was lack of flavor so the mayo based dipping sauce helped. Service was great and the lone waitress did a great job in serving, seating, and billing the customers all by herself. Great place!
