What is more, their website is very well-organized and helpful for their customers. We have a variety of unique businesses in town that serve niche industries due to UF being here and the base of research and development our university community fosters. Unfortunately, there aren't many hobby shops around but Florida RC Outlet always comes in clutch. When you first walk in, it just has that sort of model builder vibe that's super welcoming. The decor, the vending machine to the left of the door and the way it's laid out. Definitely reminds me of a hobby store from back home. They have mostly RC stuff (makes sense) but they have a fair selection of plastic models and a generous selection of paint, brushes, glue, etc. I've been building models since I was a kid, so I'm extremely well versed in different kits/manufacturers and what they're worth. That being said, their prices are fair and not overpriced. But the best part of it all is the idea of helping keep a hobby store in business and buying their products in person. It's a little far for me, but the next time I'm in that area I'll definitely find myself in Florida RC outlet.
