We had them install a central vacuum system in our new home and couldn't be happier with it. The wall connections are super easy and convenient to use. I would not believe anything they offer you to join. I was promised a Samsung television to try their 5G home internet. I ordered in April and they said I had to wait until after Aug 31st, and anytime after that. I called to let them know I was ready for my TV and they said I was no longer eligible. You see, the number they were calling was the number they assigned to my verizon box since I don't have Verizon Mobile service. They were repeatedly told this but they didn't bother to email the information to me. They used the excuse that thay sent the info but they couldnt get me on the phone or by text!!! Folks, hours and hours and hours and days and more days and more days I spent on the phone, chats, and emails and they promise but don't deliver. Their word means NOTHING! Keep youreyeson the Verizon, as you never know what they're going to do next. This is a massive Verizon store in Gainesville that seems more geared towards selling products and signing contracts and fixing stuff, but they were friendly enough and offered a few different fixes for my issues, it's just so expensive so I always end up going to little local places instead of the main stores and corporate locations. read more

I have had a Verizon phone since 2004. I came to the Verizon store today to pay my bill and they said that they don't have a public bathroom. I said I don't want a public bathroom I am a customer. Came to this location hoping to open an account and this was a wonderful experience! They were extremely cautious with COVID by minimizing the amount of people in the store, cleaning surfaces and all appropriately wearing masks. My rep, Karen, was awesome! She stayed with me after the store officially closed to help me finish up my purchase and not once rushed me as I searched for information they needed. She provided me with advice on which lines and phones to purchase and next steps for completing the phone number transfers. She even went as far as providing me with her personal number in case I had any issues with activation. I'm so happy I came to this store and I'll be sure to return! read more

I wanted to thank Sam for his excellent customer service skills. He took on a difficult and challenging issue which was created ironically by an incompetent sales rep in northern Nevada. He was on the phone with two people at once to help us. He was patient, methodical, and easy going. Sam was able to get us the help we needed. He treated my mom well and made us both laugh. If there was the ability to give a zero for this Verizon location, I would. But it goes beyond just the store experience. That's why this review is an important read. We went to this location thirty-five minutes before close on Saturday evening. We were looking to upgrade multiple phones on a plan. In short, we were told that because we didn't have an appointment, they wouldn't help us. The employee who told us this then walked away. The store was not busy. There were two customers in the store and there was no advance notification or disclosure that we needed an appointment. I decided to file a complaint with the store manager. One employee texted the store manager, Ryan. I was given his work phone number. Within one minute, I called Ryan. The call went to voicemail. About thirty minutes later, I sent a text message. As of the writing of this review, no response. Here's the reality...Ryan is a horrible manager. His staff training is absent. His management skills are absent. It's apparent he needs to be in a position where he has no interaction with the public. He doesn't have training or ability to handle simple management requirements. It is a reach to even call him a manager. Based on his inability to take responsibility for his store, he is a manager in title only. Unfortunately, someone above Ryan's level allows this to repeatedly occur. It's not like district managers are unaware of this location's awful performance and reputation. Ryan and the staff from Saturday night should be fired. If the decision to stay with Verizon or switch carriers was dependent on this location, every customer would run to AT&T. read more

From the reviews I've read, it appears that it matters very much WHICH store we go to. I've been a Verizon customer ever since I've had a cell phone, somewhere between 10 & 15 years. At one point my Hospice issued phone died (it was fully charged) & I was on call. . I took it to Verizon & explained the urgency of getting a phone that actually worked. They fixed me up tout suite, including transferring all MY data including the calls I'd received on my Hospice phone but had not been able to answer. On the flip side, recently my phone died while we are renovating our house & garden. If I fall in the back part of the garden, the statistical probability is that due to all the trees & shrubs around our stable sinkhole (a refuge for some wild animals like bunnies) no one will hear me yell for help. I NEED a working phone to call for help! I didn't take time away from the reno to shower & dress up for them. When I went in to get a new phone, the customer service rep, curled up her nose & mumbled ~ "Who are you kidding? You can't afford this phone." I requested a different agent who was professional. The previous agent's face was a sight to behold when she saw how much $ she'd insulted out of her pocket. read more

Today I stopped in and got a new phone. It was time for an upgrade and I have Verizon and since it was a Monday it was not as busy as other times. When I went in I was number 1 in line, so it only took about 5 minutes before I was seen. I spent that time looking at the phones, tablets, gadgets, and other stuff. I ended up touching too much stuff as I set off like 5 different alarms while I was there. The service was nice and friendly. They greeted me by name and helped with the sale. I had some issues with the phone and they helped answer all the questions that I had. It was a quick visit but it served the purpose of me going there. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service ever at the Gainesville Florida archer road location. Purchased a jetpack and month of data on August 3rd to take on a camping trip. Could not get the device to work the entire trip. Just returned back and tried to return device. Manager was extremely rude and arrogant and said that because it was over 2 weeks there was nothing she could do. No offer to fix or replace or return the device. I called Verizon customer service and they were able to fix the device over the phone and offered a credit on the usage. Manager at store location definitely needs to work on customer service skills. read more

I was in the store two days in a row, first to upgrade one line on my account, then again today because I decided to upgrade a second line on the account, the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and did everything they could to get the process finished quickly and effectively. There was a short wait both days, and I know this has been a concern on another review site, but there is only a wait because they're working to EFFECTIVELY service your account, this takes time, I'd much rather wait a short period of time than to have to go back repeatedly. The check-in process was poorly managed, and many customers were not greeted with the ability to check in. Previously arranged appointments were also not honored. Miscreants... We bought a new home in a rural area with very poor internet/wifi options. The Gainesville store signed us up for the "Cantenna" and told us we had a hassle free 14 day trial... After 1 day, we were somehow over the data useage plan.. We went to the store and they said "no worries, just cancel within the 14 day trial." So we canceled on day 12. The account was closed and we thought all was good. 4 months later, .....I got a phone call from verizon saying I had an $1100+ bill and was I able to start paying it!!!!!! They said in 12 days we were 80 GB over our data uesage!!! Mind you, we hadn't even moved in, no TVs up, a little bit of web browsing and maybe a few hours of ipad tv shows for the kids.. I could see being over in a months time, but in 12 days.... Something doesn't jive.. CS agent said they had inadvertently charged a $350 early termination fee, so they would waive that and I had to pay $700+.. I said we canceled during the trial period, why do I need to pay anything?!?! I asked for a supervisor.. After being placed on hold, CS comes back and says shes been authorized to waive the bill to $600, and that if I speak with a supervisor there was no guarantee that offer would still be on the table! I escalated conversation all the way to supervisor of billing. I asked him where in the contract did it say I was responsible for paying any data overage fees. He said, "the contract doesn't say that you do have to pay, but it doesn't say you don't have to pay either!" I told him I would like a complete data usage report showing exactly where every bit of data was used. He told me it would be 3-5 days and they would call to "negotiate" releasing that report to me.. Negotiate!??! To see the data that I am being asked to pay for!!?!? Incredulous..... He said the only way he would waive the fees is if I went to the store and had the people we dealt with note our account that they didn't disclose to us everything involved with the "14 day trial". You can imagine how that went... The manager read the notes and said "I don't know what you want me to do, there's nothing I can do for you".... Misleading, dishonest, unethical, miscreants!! Just received the worst customer service by a man at this store. He did a reset of one of our phones without doing a backup to the cloud causing important texts and all the pictures to be lost. I kept telling him that in the past our stuff was backed was backed up to the Verizon Cloud and he totally ignored each time I said that. Come to find out after I called Verizon, he could have backed it up to the Cloud. Terrible customer service. He should be fired!!! He did not even give me his name. read more

My experience with this store was awful. Got there at 11am, left at 2pm. I upgraded to a new phone and went in to get it. One of the dudes brought out my phone put it in a brown paper bag and was ready to send me on my way. I wanted and needed to have my contacts and photos transferred and the manager put me at the end of the line while they took care of other customers that got there after me. While I was waiting, I noticed that the order was wrong and then it turned ugly when I discovered that the order was wrong, not their fault, had to call customer service. The dudes there are not very friendly, I hope to never, never go there again if I can help it. read more
