Unprofessional, and very extremely rude. Wi-Fi barely works, doesn't work at all on anything from 5pm-7pm & at 10pm to 4am

After being a loyal customer of over 4 years, I called being pretty upset that my bills had gone up to $170 for just 500 mbps which is ridiculous. When I called , I was bounced around from line to line , and when I finally got to the right one, I was hung up on after being put on hold. I called back just to be condescendingly lied to and talked down upon. I was told the only way for me to get a better deal was to give them more money and add a mobile line... absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. Greedy business with no genuine care for their clients. Read their other reviews. It speaks for itself. Cox is hands down the WORST.

I'd give zero stars if I could. I work from home, as do many people these days, and I also work…read morethird shift. Several times a month, the internet just...goes out. For my entire shift. No warning. No intermittent returning and going out again. It's just out. For sometimes 12 or more hours. We had to buy a better mobile plan so I could use *that* multiple times a month when Cox's service inevitably goes out. It may not seem like much, saying "several times a month" and it may not look like much plotted on a map, but when you pay as much as we do, you expect much, much more. Internet is not a luxury anymore. It is absolutely a requirement. Every time I've contacted Cox, they've given me no help. "It's an outage" or "we're working on it". No explanations of why and every time they deigned to give me an ETA, it was off by hours. Don't even bother with the chat, it's all AI bots spouting nonsense about how "they understand, they use their internet to work from home too". But they're even less useful and just as full of shit. If you have an option (which I know not everyone does...hell, WE don't), do NOT choose Cox. They are the worst ISP we've ever had. And we had Comcast. ...so good job being worse than Comcast, I guess.

I had an absolutely horrible experience. Scam, they have GBs pulled from devices turned off he told me by email and rep told me by phone. Complete farce! Internal equipment has obviously a tracking device to force you to update plan more than once, accuse you of using too much data and pay more. Complete and utter B.S. Also, why can't I submit review directly on Google website, so it appears there in plain sight??? Intentional because this supposed retailer providing SCAM service is DISHONEST!!! HughesNet refused to come to home to get equipment and even when I reluctantly offered to pay, still refused. Last rep informed me cancellation of internet $370.00 and phone $200.00, total $570.00. And boy did they charge to my checking, day after cycle period ended, only time I was told the TRUTH! But David told me $400.00 cancellation and previous rep on phone with ATTITUDE. The dish I have to hire someone to remove and radio on dish I have to return, plus equipment inside of home I have to return. Pathetic, dishonest retailer and internet service company!!! Please, if someone reads this shopping around for internet and phone service, do yourself a favor find another retailer and provider that is reputable and honest and ask your neighbors too to verify legit. P.S. I had gotten this service for my parents that live in FL.

I haven't watched my cable since Thanksgiving of…read more2018 and have been trying to cancel with them for a while since they've always had my account 'past due' over their negligence to comply to simple monthly procedures. I set up with DirecTV + ATT when I moved to Florida in summer 2018 using automatic payments. When I cancelled my ATT service, they would not let me cancel DirecTV although I do NOT use it, and this was one year since I had begun service. I began to not get charged monthly and hadn't received a paper or email bill in a couple of months. I called DirecTV and they told me that my account is severely 'past due' which is outlandish for me, when I always pay on time. I then asked why I wasn't receiving a bill; they were sending my bills to my old Salem, Massachusetts address! Oh and I couldn't create an online account with DirecTV because they had my Salem debit card on file! HOW they gathered all of my Salem info when I began service in Florida is SCARY and invasive. They allowed me to skip one payment by lowering my bill to $17 one month. It's been three more months since all of this hassle, where they still will NOT just cancel my service for a product I haven't used in over a year and after all of their insane invasive negligence, but now each month my bill is doubled for SOME reason as if I skipped a payment somewhere and it's constantly telling me that I'm in the red and 'past due.' Oh, and we are in the middle of a pandemic and they just charged me a $13 late fee when my bill is due April 1st because of these over charges they created! Also, they have been charging me $9.62 each month for a protection plan that I did not sign up for nor do I need when I don't use my cable box and wish I could return this thing! That's nearly $120 in extra charges due to this 'protection plan' that they have just taken from me! This company is out to ROB YOU! Do not sign up with DirecTV!! I am absolutely mind blown as to how inaccurate, stalker-esque, and negligent to comply to customer satisfaction this company truly is. I am counting down the days until I can cancel my service with this overpriced company that just robs the crud out of you!!

Horrible customer service while closing an account where I have been a good paying customer for a…read morelong period of time and have not even been using their service, yet paid anyway, as I have a Netflix and Hulu account. I am moving and want their equipment out of my house and they have repeatedly told me they are sending me an equipment return package.... yet I get nothing. I call today over 2.5 weeks later and they tell me to just throw away the equipment or recycle it that they don't want it as it is too old. I ask for an e-mail for proof of these instructions..... NOTHING... I am sure I may get a hefty bill as soon as I throw away this worthless equipment it will suddenly become valuable. Get your act together DIRECTV. You are more interested in selling me additional equipment for my new residence than you are about taking care of your customers concerning the purpose of their call. I was quite likely going to purchase TV/cable from you in the future but now you can F off. Every single time I call the customer service rep has no note of any past phone conversations and tells me to print a label myself. No thanks.

I have been a Verizon customer for almost 30 years. I noticed customer service have deteriorated…read moreovertime. I went yesterday to purchase anew phone. I was met by some wone who schedules appointments and was told later on he is the manager. This dude lacks courtesy no greetings nothing. I waited for at least over 1hrs to meet with a young man name Dennis to help me out. This person too lacks personal traits. shows no respect and over board condescending. He needs training. So I tolerated this so I can get the phone I wanted. he continued to act as if he is doing me favors. I told him I am off work and where I live the internet is slow so I would like him restore some data from Google drive. He wanted to confirm that I have a password but in away felt like "hey old man" do you remember your password. as we moved with this I asked him another 2 times about the restore and as I he did the invoice. will you help me restore my old data and all of a sudden he tells me it cost $30. I have no issue paying but that irritated me as I felt he did not want to do it. At this point I left the store and saved my self over $200 by ordering the Phone on Amazon. By the way that manger did not prove me wrong, he was few feet away and cared less

I was told 5G is available in my area but there are too many people in that area with wifi currently so I was not eligible to purchase. I found that frustrating but hey it sounds like there was nothing they can do about that. I then decided to purchase a mobile hotspot with the 100 Gig plan. I told the sales rep I would be paying off the hotspot device right away and would set up auto pay for the service. Salesman was very nice. He then told me there was a $35 activation fee. Due to the aforementioned frustrations I asked if he would be able to waive the fee. He said he would have to get management which he did and they declined to waive the $35 dollar fee. I told them I would be going to AT&T to get wifi today if they wouldn't waive the fee but if they would waive it, I was ready to purchase. They decided it was not worth their business and immediately said no there is nothing they can do to help. I have now purchased AT&T wifi and this Verizon store has missed out on over $40/mth along with $200 for the device. I run a business and am simply writing this review for the owner of this location. I know I would be extremely disappointed in my sales team and management if they were willing to lose a current customer over a $35 activation fee... Will likely be switch my phone service to AT&T as well. Very poor business practice. This happened 7/26/2024 for reference of management working that day.
