They did an amazing job in installing a very complicated, 300+ piece crystal glass chandelier. The best electrical service in Gainesville! We've used them twice, and both times the service was BEYOND prompt, as well as being top-quality work at a price that was very fair. We had a problem with a circuit breaker in our master bath. Matt from Preston Link came out and determined that the problem was actually with our instant-hot, tankless water heater. Since he didn't replace or repair anything, HE WOULDN'T TAKE ANY MONEY from us! He referred us to a great plumber, and we ended up replacing our water heater. Preston Link came out to do some necessary electrical work in conjunction with the installation, and did a fine job, done TO CODE. Preston Link sent two guys out on each job they did at our home, and everyone we encountered was extremely nice and courteous. Horrible customer service! Unresponsive, uncooperative, and unapologetic. I wanted an appraisal of the electrical panel at a property I was purchasing, so I scheduled an appointment with the electrician (Wil) for 10:30 AM on a Monday, took a half-day off work to be there across town (with my realtor), and got there at 10:24 AM only to find a door tag saying I missed my appointment and to schedule another one. I called to ask what happened and only got, "Yeah, Wil keeps his own time, even though we tell him you need to keep an appointment." So, this is obviously a known problem that they just don't care about. No thanks, I'll be going elsewhere. Clearly, I can't speak to their electric abilities, since they won't be doing any work for me. read more

I absolutely LOVE Preston Link Electric. Whenever I thought of an electrical company I assumed they only took on big jobs. We have used them to change our pool light, install our entertainment system and hang our tv's and other misc stuff they noticed that seemed unimportant to me but evidently could have potentially caused a fire. Given the work that they did in our home they were the first company we thought of when we moved to our new office. Again, did not realize they could do more than "electrical", they came in and wired all the electrical, phone and internet outlets right where wen needed everything. Personal and professional use of their team has proven to be beneficial to us. They provided professional service from inception to completion of each job and the communication was great. AWESOME. They are just awesome. I was nervous about calling an electrician because of the cost, but I bit the bullet and called Preston-Link based on the yelp reviews; I wasn't disappointed. Two guys came out (one was training) and they spent fours hours figuring out how the wiring in my home worked, and then how to fix the problem. Half way through they checked in with me to make sure that I was okay with proceeding (because the bill was racking up). They worked hard the entire time. The bill at the end of the day? $407; worth every penny. They re-ran the wiring in my office, fixed the wiring in my bathroom and living room and explained the layout of the wiring in my house.
