As a business owner, I could never be sold on paying for a contract with an IT or Computer Service .... until I met TechCare. When I began my current position as General Manager for a cage-free doggie day care and boarding facility, one of the first expenses on my list to eliminate was the monthly contract, that had been previously established with a company called TechCare, which I had never heard of. Before taking action, I thought it best to observe what our company was actually receiving for the monthly fee. Besides that, all of the computers were PC's and in our store we were Mac driven, so I thought it might be a good idea to retain the contract until I could get comfortable in the PC world. Within a couple of weeks after starting, there was a need for TechCare's services, for the learning curve I was experiencing with PCs wasn't moving as smoothly as I had hoped. First of all, a human actually answered the phone when I called. That earned them some bonus points. The first question I was asked threw me for a loop. It was, "Would tomorrow be good for you?" I responded with, "You mean the next day, like within 24 hours?" The answer was yes! I thought, how could that be? The technician showed up on time, got to the root of the problem quickly and even explained what the problem was and how it was fixed. Incredibly, he spoke English and not "Geek-Speak." I actually understood what he said ... and the first time, no less. Well, I thought, this must be a fluke. However, when the technician arrived for the monthly service, to check updates on all of the computers and making sure the server was in good order, it happened again. I was notified ... check that ... I was asked if the date they had in mind fit with my schedule. Caught off guard again. Remarkably, when the technician arrived, named Josh, he actually did things ... lots of things, and kept me up to speed all along the way. I just had to ask if this was their normal procedure or had the company I was working for been using them for years and had earned VIP status. As it turned out, our company hadn't used them for years, but they did solve a lot of problems and prevented even more, shortly after taking on the account. The experience with TechCare changed my mind about contractual agreements and the vital service they can provide. Now, if only learning how to operate Windows,properly, was as easy, life would great... but I'll settle for good! read more

I brought my computer in and the screen was cracked. They ordered the screen and UPS delivered it late on Friday after hours. These guys are the best. My computer got seriously infected with malware or some sort of virus a year ago. It sat idle for a year because I was too lazy to take it into a shop. Every time I opened it, a million little windows would pop up and when my computer would try to run a diagnostic or repair program to get rid of the virus, the virus would shut it down. I mean we're talking some next level virus stuff here. TechCare is the best! We have been using TechCare since 2020 whenever we have a computer issue. I chose them after reading tons of great reviews and decided now is the time to write one myself. They have come to our home to deal with various issues and install equipment. We have brought our computer to the store for repair. We call and get advice and help over the phone as well. Today we needed them to reset our printers after a new modem and router were installed by Spectrum. After the installer was gone, we discovered that our printers were no longer working. We called Spectrum and they were unwilling to help with what they deemed "third party equipment." TechCare sent Mike to take care of the problem. He was terrific! He was able to get our printers working in no time and stayed to help us with a few other issues we've been having. Eddie, the owner of TechCare, often answers the phone as he did today, and within 2 hours Mike was here and problem solved! We've also dealt with other technicians, all of whom are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Ahbed is one who comes to mind. Honest, diligent and friendly. My laptop monitor was displaying lines and I was sure it would have to be replaced. I called these guys and talked with Eddie, told him my predicament and he suggested I bring it in. He made a point in saying that if I was happy with the computer, out might be worth repairing instead of buying new one. They looked it over, said it was the inverter and cleaned it up and put it back, but wanted to keep the computer running over night to see if the problem occurred when it got hot. The next day, they called said it was working perfectly. They only charged me the diagnostic which was so reasonable I felt I should tip them. They also ran software updates and made recommendations for things like the battery and power cord, but they weren't pushy. I will totally use them again to service my computers. After taking the computer to a different repair place, I have confirmed that Techcare did not fix the problem I paid them to fix. The other place charged less, actually fixed the problem and actually called me when they said they would. Also, Techcare obnoxiously put a sticker advertising themselves on the bottom of my laptop without asking first. I had a minor computer issue that I was unable to fix myself. I went to TechCare on the recommendation of another computer repair store. I explained the issue on the phone, and they told me to bring it in whenever I wanted, and they would have it completed the same day. They were true to their word, and the price they quoted me on the phone was exactly what it ended up being, as well as a very reasonable amount. Dealing with computer repair shops can sometimes be intimidating (IT guys are great at making me feel stupid), but I found the staff at TechCare to be friendly and understanding. So, I dropped my laptop on the power connection.and busted the pin. Took it to Geek Squad, where I was told it would be $150-$250 and 2-3 WEEKS to fix. So I left and hopped on Yelp (should have been my FIRST instinct) and found Techcare. They looked at my machine for free, took my concerns about being without my computer for more than a couple days seriously and totally over delivered. I had quite the ordeal with my computer here. This place came recommended to me by another place I found highly rated on Yelp, but that company primarily services Macs. So I went to this place in hopes of getting help with my PC, which it turned out had had hard drive failure. At first they were very prompt in performing the initial diagnostics, and informing me of the problem and what my options were. I decided to proceed with having a data extraction done on my hard drive in an attempt to recover all the files I had stored on there (and, regrettably, were not backed up). They said this would take about 14 business days, so I called back to check in after it had been about that long, and they told me it might be another couple days. I called back in a couple days, and was told the same thing. This went on for a few more times, until at one point I called in and was told the man I had been speaking with was away on vacation for a week or more, at which point I begun to get really frustrated. It turned out I had to wait about 8 weeks to get my computer back, and I was constantly having to call and check in in order to keep them on top of things. In short, their communication was very very poor. They had warned me they may not be able to recover all my data, due to the state of the hard drive, so when I got it back I was glad to see that it looked like most of my files were there. After using the computer for a while, however, I noticed that many of the pictures were corrupt files and were severely distorted. When it came time to pay, it seems they "accidentally" installed a 1TB hard drive rather than the 500GB hard drive I had before (which I had been quoted for, and had an e-mail to prove it). So I could either wait another day or two for them to swap out the hard drives, or pay more. That, in my opinion, is no way of doing customer service - they are the ones who screwed up! They made a call to a mysterious "manager" who never seemed to be on the premises, and he said they could give me the 1TB hard drive for a discounted rate, which was somewhere between $10-25 more than the 500GB was going to cost (I can no longer remember specifically). I finally just said "fine" and agreed to that, because I was so sick of dealing with these people and wanted to get the heck out of there. In the end, it seems that they did resolve my problem, and supposedly recovered as much of my data as was possible, but I was caused a lot of stress and frustration along the way. I also ended up having to go back in once more because a bunch of my settings were changed when they reinstalled Windows and I needed them to set things back to the way I had them. I would not return to TechCare nor would I recommend it to others, though I found Josh to be really nice and helpful once I started dealing with him rather than Eddie. read more

Josh is my technician - he's awesome - but all have been at least very good. Eddie and the guys on the phones seem to work 24/7 and are just solid good guys. After my paid anti-virus protection expired, my laptop immediately started having serious spyware issues. Fed up, I finally took it to Techcare. Not only did they promptly rid my laptop of viruses, added a fairly efficient FREE anti-virus program, but they also did it for much less than I had been quoted by some other places. Even their 24hr customer support reps are very patient and friendly. Happy to say I've had no issues since, and if I do I wouldn't hesitate to take it back. read more

I'm pretty that all the bad reviews come from companies that don't know how to deal with their customers like techcare deos. I highly recommend techcare to everyone. Not only did techcare save my company, but they also saved my friend's companies. I recommended techcare to doctor's and the law offices and they said they were very happy with techcare's business. Tech Care is the real deal. We use TCare for our company IT and always are quick and easy to deal with. Most IT companies charge just to walk in the door. Call me cheap but I actually watch the clock when they are there and I've NEVER been charged more than they actually we're in our office. I took my 3 year old laptop in and asked them to diagnose the problem and that was it. They told me there is a $40 fee to just diagnose and it would be waived if they fixed it. So they told me to come back the next day. On the next day they told me I had a jacked up hard drive and that it would have to be replaced. They told me it would cost $250. So instead I went and bought a portable hard drive to have my documents transferred to download into a new laptop. The only problem is after they did the transfer, they gave a fee of $95. I asked the guy why so much and he told me that it is for "MAN HOURS". Even though that's a lot just for a transfer I checked other places and it would have been more expensive and it would have taken them at least a few days just to diagnose my laptop. This is the only reason that I'm giving it 3 stars. read more

This company came highly recommended by a co-worker who had used their services over many years. Thus my expectations were very high. Their services were badly needed on my home HP desktop computer which had been hacked and made a part of a network as a node to transmit tons of data around the world. The hackers had even taken over administrative rights, control of software and copied all my data, created take certifications compromised my privacy completely. This had been going on unknown to me for several months before I sought the services of Tech Care. A total of 3 visits was required due to the hackers immediate resurfacing every time even though the bar drive had been wiped and the pc recovered to the state it was when purchased. Despite their efforts, the hackers remained. Although the technicians were very professional throughout, not once did they ask me to show them the evidence which made it clear that I had uninvited culprits on my computer. I spent about $800 or more to have my pc fixed (1.866.FIX.PC4U) and the services ultimately made no difference. I called Tech Care to inform them that I was not a pleased customer and wanted to know what more would be done at no additional cost to me to have the company live up to their slogan. I was told there was nothing more that could be done for me to which I asked about the possibility of "hidden files" being the problem. The owner's response was that "there or no such thing as hidden files." My last words to the owner were "thanks for nothing!" as you certainly did not live up to your "FIXPC4U" promise. Needless to say I will never seem Tech Care's services again even though they recently mailed me a colorful postcard offering $15 off any labor fees thru 12/31/16.
