Great, fast, and thorough service. Would recommend a million times over! Was able to get the facts I needed to make a educated decision.

Roosevelt

Great customer service. Helpful and honest advice. Friendly folks who were perfectly willing to…read moretalk options or make recommendations. For what I got, very reasonable pricing. A little over a week ago, my cat decided to water test my laptop. Long story short, a glass of water spilled into (!) my laptop. The laptop sat immersed in this pool of water for nearly 20 hours. Everything was complete toast. Although most of my files are in the cloud, especially the most important ones, I decided there might be the occasional file or folder that I might not notice tomorrow or even a year from now. I decided it would be best to retrieve the contents of the drive on the laptop for peace of mind. I left the laptop with them to do an assessment first. That assessment was ~$80. After their assessment, they indicated that the contents of the drive were retrievable and gave me an estimate of $400 to retrieve the contents of the drive (the $80 would apply to that figure). I decided it was worth the cost, if for nothing more than that elusive peace of mind. I also needed a drive to put the contents on (or provide my own). Since I didn't have one, and didn't want to bother with purchasing a 3rd party drive, they charged me $140 for a Toshiba Portable Storage device. So, for about $600 (w/ tax) I got everything off the lost drive. Was it worth it? Without a doubt. Would I go back? Hell yeah.

This is no longer the Progressive Tech you used to know and love. Long gone are the days when your…read morecomputer blew up and after spending several hours trying to fix it yourself, you trudged over to Prog Tech and had a one on one conversation about what the options were for getting you back up. And then you left it there and they fixed it. Now, it's obvious they don't want the local, neighborhood individual with a problem. They make it next to impossible to connect with anyone from just trying to find them on Roosevelt to no one answering the phone when you call them repeatedly just to make an appointment. They couldn't say more clearly, "We don't want you!" Stay away from them, they're not for you.

Their customer service is terrible; each response takes several days. When they do respond to you, they will send you filler emails with no solutions, and many errors you will have to point out and fix. They hide behind fake incompetence to defraud you and not respond to your emails for help. DO NOT use for your business.

I wish I had read all these terrible reviews before we signed up with this company. We have a small…read morepsychology practice and ordered a shredding bin to keep onsite, that Iron Mountain was supposed to come and empty out periodically. It's been a nightmare from the start. They delivered 2 bins rather than 1 (which of course they charge us for both, even though we said all along we only wanted 1). They refused to take the 2nd bin away even though my colleague was there when they delivered them, saying we needed to call Iron Mountain to arrange a pick-up for the second bin (again, even though the people delivering the bins were RIGHT THERE). This was several months ago and we still have not been able to get them to come pick up our 2nd bin. Then, they have continued to show up unannounced to pick up our shredding materials. Due to HIPAA, any confidential patient materials must be behind 2 locks. So of course we do not have our shredding bin in a public spot that they would be able to access. Each time they arrive at our office unannounced and we are not immediately available to let them in (or even aware that they are there), we get charged $75 for a missed attempt!! It's so maddening. We are psychologists so we are with clients when they arrive. We aren't just sitting around waiting for Iron Mountain to show up unexpectedly. And then whenever we try to contact customer service to resolve any of these issues, no one has any record that we've called before, we get assigned a new case number, and nothing ever changes. Now we have been trying to cancel the service entirely for several weeks. They keep saying they will come to pick up the bins, give us a date 2 weeks out, and then they don't arrive. Meanwhile they continue to stop by to pick up our shredding (and no doubt to charge us additional money). This company is a total scam!! I hope this review can save someone else the trouble of working with them.

Since I was out of…read morewarranty with Apple, I came to their University District store at referral from Apple service because the local Apple Store was all backed up. GoEBITS was able to see me that same day, conduct a quick diagnosis, and do the repair all in their own shop - no need to send out to an outside repair center. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and very communicative. My repair was complete within the week - which was much appreciated since I depend so much on my Mac. While it wasn't cheap - it's something I anticipated since I unfortunately didn't have Apple Care (a learning by itself!). I highly recommend them!

Now the reason this review isn't 4 or 5 stars is because COMMUNICATION seems to be an issue aside from my device being there for over a month in waiting for a battery "that worked" & the internal connector or such to be fixed. The timing wasn't so much an issue as the lack of communication was. It's like I would like to at some point have an answer or my device back after a month. Because if you've got back ups or are absent minded, then they'll keep your stuff for a long time if you forget it's there. Otherwise, communication in actually calling & giving updates would be good instead of wondering if your device is just sitting there or is being used as a paper weight.....

I dropped of my laptop with them and went across the street into Geeksqaud at Northgate Mall to see if i can buy a cheap laptop to get my work done. i looked at couple of laptops but decided to hold off buying one, don't know why. but I'm glad i did because 2 hours later i recived a call from Jason updating me on the status. He told me that they had the correct screen in-stock which was ordered for another customer with whom he had confirm if the customer would be willing to wait for their screen. which was really nice of them. Jason gave me a verbal estimate and i confirmed it over the phone, he also sent me an email what we just went over, which was really nice to have things in writing.
