Went to this place with my engine steaming. Told me I had a coolant leak and told me the only way to fix it was to disable my heating system but my heater wouldn't ever work again. I trusted them but 10 min after I left the place it started steaming again. Turns out it was the radiator hose and I spent $230 for them to ruin my heater and not even fix my car. And later went to another place to fix it the right way for only $75. I even called back telling them my situation and how I practically just gave them $230 for them to mess up my car even more and they didn't try to resolve it all. read more

Wanted to update my previous review with continued praise for Ben and his entire staff. I've only taken my car to Tech 1 and over 100k miles later it's still running perfectly thanks to them. It's really hard to average a 4.5 star average as a automotive repair shop on yelp, you won't find many and it's no surprise to me at all. I've referred friends to this business and they've all become regulars. Ben has saved me countless amounts of $s over the dealership and other mechanics with his honesty and thorough experience and knowledge. Even though I live far away, I willingly drive out to drop my car off here for any repair or service needs, and I will continue to do so with any future cars I'll own. If you bring your car in, I'm sure you'll also become a customer for life as they go above and beyond and explain exactly what they do in detail without skipping corners or overcharging on parts or service. Recently I had a check engine light issue that even stumped the dealership and Tech 1 was able to go through every possible reason and finally figure out what the issue was as well as make recommendations. Went in today for a radiator leak inspection since my car overheated 2 days ago. Ben greeted me and took a look at my vehicle right away. He used a pressure air system to find for any leaks. Fortunately, there wasn't any but he did notice that the top radiator cap to keep the pressure in was broken. He replaced it on the spot. Even though it was a quick little fix, I now feel confident that my radiator will function properly, thanks to Ben. read more

Tech #1 Auto Service did not fix my car correctly. I was referred there by my son. My first time taking my Jeep to see Ben Diep at Tech #1 on October 14, 2015 and I paid $450. I thought everything had been fixed, but when I drove my Jeep a few times afterwards I could still hear a clicking noise. The second time was July 9, 2016 because cylinder 3&4 were messed on my Jeep. I had paid been $475 and also the fee for a diagnostic test but I did not receive one that was done correctly. The receipt said the car was good for another 3 months. When I was driving my Jeep, something still did not feel right, so I called my son and I was supposed to bring it back but I became ill and had a lot of family issues happening. My third and final time going to Tech #1 was on September 8, 2016 my Jeep stopped on me and I had to get it towed. The tow truck driver had been carelessly handling my truck and trying to drive it and gunning the engine even though I asked him not to. When we arrived at Tech #1, the tow truck driver told Ben what he assumed that the transmission was what was wrong with my vehicle and Ben went with it instead of checking for himself. He then proceeded to put his hand in my face and yell that he would tell me what was wrong with my Jeep if I pay him another $60! I told him that I had paid for two diagnostic test and if he had done it by machine instead of writing it by hand then I would not have to keep coming up there with problem after problem. I refused the service and was told to remove my Jeep of his property. I managed to back it out of the establishment to across the street and proceeded to wait an additional four hours for another tow truck to arrive to bring my Jeep back home. read more

All the 5 star ratings justify tech 1 and Ben's great service. My 02 Rav4's check engine light went on and I was experiencing harsh shifting. I took to my regular mechanic and he checked the error code then told me it was the transmission with an estimated repair cost of $2000. I had started to look at buying a used car and just give up. I then called a few other places telling them the issue and received the same answer. It wasn't until I called Ben, he immediately told me it was probably not the transmission but due to an ECU unit defect for my car during those manufacturing years. He had told me it will take around 3 days to get the new part and only around $600 to fix. I just got my car back AMD it's only been day 2. He had paid extra for the over night shipping and got my car back and running in less than the time he had estimated with no additional charge. I can't thank him more and his staff for their great and fast service. I will definitely come back with all my auto servicing needs. read more

I have been a customer at tech 1 for 2 years. I have already posted a review before, but seeing one of the recent reviews, i felt like i had to remove my review and make a new one. I first found out about Ben when i needed to get my radiator replaced. The original mechanic shop i went to was charging me 700 dollars. Ben charged me only around 500. Ben offers great prices and is very honest when it comes to his customers. Obviously, you can see that nearly all his reviews are five stars, except for one. This should be enough to prove that Tech no 1 auto is an excellent place to repair your cars. As for the "mexican boy" , that comment was very derogative and disrespectful. I trust Ben to fix my car any day, he basically guarantees that your car is fixed, otherwise you can bring it back and get it fixed if he made any mistake. You get five stars from me, Ben. read more
