From the beginning, John, the owner, and his son Jonathan were honest, knowledgeable, and straightforward with me. What I appreciated most was that they took the time to properly look into the problem instead of immediately telling me I needed the most expensive repair. They explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, kept me informed throughout the process, and got my Camaro repaired and back on the road. John and Jonathan genuinely seem to care about their customers and doing the job right. After all the stress I had been dealing with trying to get my car fixed, it was a huge relief finding a transmission shop I could trust. Great customer service, honest people, and quality work. I'll definitely be coming back to El Monte Transmission for any future transmission needs. Thank you John, Jonathan, and the whole team! Highly recommend!

He explained that the transmission was having trouble shifting into third gear and would eventually need to be rebuilt. He also provided an estimate for the repair. Since the car is older, I decided not to invest additional money in rebuilding the transmission. Even though I chose not to proceed with the service, John still took the time to explain my options and recommend what I should do next. He went above and beyond, especially considering that the diagnostic was free. I truly appreciate John's honesty, helpful recommendations, and excellent customer service. I highly recommend him.

It has been great so decide to get my 2002 Ford Explorer done here. The explorer was jerky only after a cold start so we tried going with a smaller fix before doing a full rebuild. The car was driving fine except during traffic so I had to bring it back in to get the full rebuild. It costed around $3k but I paid $2k since I got the $1k credited back. It has been a week, and the car has been fine since then. I recommend Leeco Transmission as they are very honest and kind. Sam was always friendly and does a good job. When I confronted them about the absolute lack of communication and productivity, the staff member blatantly looked me in the eye and said, "I wasted your time." The sheer dismissiveness and toxic attitude from the staff made it incredibly clear that I was being targeted and treated differently. I heavily felt an undercurrent of discrimination in how they chose to dismiss me, speak down to me, and openly boast about wasting my day-- treatment I highly doubt they would show to other customers. Unprofessional, biased, and toxic environment. Take your vehicle somewhere that respects all of its customers equally.

Although they don't have a tow service, Christina was able coordinate towing my truck to this shop where they rebuilt the tranny, transfer case, differentials, and replaced a couple of parts. World transmission is a family owned business with respectful people. David is very knowledgable and knows his craft. He went over the details of how my transmission worked and how to preserve its lifespan given that it's a 4x4. Christina is very professional and stands by her word. After I left I reviewed their work and noticed the dust shield on one my brakes was carving into the rotor. I phoned in and was asked to bring the truck back and within the hour of bringing it in, had the rotor replaced with a new one. Mind you that the differential was used so the dust shield may have been bent to begin with. But the important thing is that they didn't play the blame game. Instead they took responsibility and within the hour having brought in the truck, I was already driving off the lot with a brand new rotor. I am completely satisfied with the work and the amount that I paid for it. Truly worth the price. As Andre (see previous post) put it in his post, this is place has the best prices in town. Their prices are fair for the amount of work that needed to be done. The only downside in my opinion is that they have too much work and they don't open on weekends other than Saturday to return the cars. Thus the need to take time off of work to deal with all this. Overall though I can say that I will continue to service my truck here as well as brining my other 2 cars which may be long over due for some transmission service. Thank you Christina for your friendly smile, firm handshake, and professional services. -KC

I arrived around 9 AM, waited about 10-15 minutes, and the synthetic oil change for my 2012 Honda Accord took another 20-30 minutes. It cost $50, and they also did a basic brake check during the service. The staff mainly speaks Cantonese with some broken English, but communication is enough for routine services. I also asked for a tire rotation, but they said they didn't have time that day. The shop is a no-frills neighborhood mechanic, nothing fancy, but efficient if your car is already in good shape and you need a quick oil change or basic maintenance. They're open on Saturdays, which makes it convenient when I can't come during the week. If you're looking for a fast, budget-friendly oil change, I'd recommend this place. For more thorough maintenance, diagnostics, or larger repairs, I'd probably choose a different mechanic.

Not a rip off like this place. I didn't want to write this review but it's been nagging the hell out of me for how much I was charged for. He also suggested I should change my oil filter housing at 48k miles with no signs of coolant/oil leakages. Yes these are known to fail but no issues yet and I'm at 60k miles now.
