Came here and I am so happy I did! It should of been my first choice.l! I went to Tricked Out Accessories and they didn't do anything to help. My phone dropped in the ocean and all they did was open it and leave it there for 2 hours!!! I asked for them to call me if they couldn't fix it and they never did! Leaving the phone there without trying to fix it created more of a problem. When I dropped it off to them it still turned on and after picking it up it didn't even turn on! All they did was open it and send a picture to their manager. The manager said that the phone was unfixable. How would she know that from a picture?! I came to Tech Armor and he fixed my phone!! He recovered all of the memory too! Make Tech Armor your first choice always!! read more

Highly recommend! AB hooked it up and i guarantee you will not leave disappointed. These guys will hear you out and actually troubleshoot on the spot and fix it there if its really minor (like a dirty mic on my iphone which he just cleaned for me).. with no charge Plus, they'll explain to you the problem and how to prevent it from happening again, not like some places i've been where they sell you some bs just so you can purchase their services. Definitely go here for your phone problems. read more

Excellent, quick and friendly service! I'm definitely going to return and advertise the business.

Didn't get the name of the guy that helped me but he was super friendly. They were referred to me by a geek squader when I tried to get my battery replaced for my phone (I just missed my 2 year coverage plan, would've cost me more than $100+ if I chose to get my battery with them). Fortunately, tech armor had my battery in stock. For some reason lost my stylus earlier this week and he was able to find a replacement but it was a bit defective cosmetically so he gave it to me at no cost. So, all in all, good service and the replacement battery that I bought works otherwise I wouldn't be able to write this review with this beloved phone of mine. read more

One of our cell phone's screen cracked and we couldn't wait to find out the status of using our cell phone insurance. A salesperson at a local cell phone company recommended Tech Armour. The owner was friendly and very helpful. He got our phone screen fixed and put on a screen protector. He was fast and affordable. I highly recommend Tech Armour to fix your cell phone. read more

I had water damage to my iPhone that made it impossible to use the touch screen. I needed it fixed in a hurry, as I was leaving Hawai'i for the mainland that same day. I emailed them early in the morning before they opened, and got an answer within an hour. I showed up right as they opened at 10:00 am. Almost exactly one hour later, the technician handed me back my completely fixed phone, with a new screen, all data, everything. The technician was fast and courteous. I was charged a very fair price for a repair that made my phone almost like new. I may never be in Hawai'i again to use their services, but I'd recommend them to anyone who does live on Oahu or is visiting and needs good, fast work. I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

Came in for a battery replacement because I would have to carry my portable charger with me 24/7 which was such a drag.. After the replacement, myy screen was glitching so they threw in a brand new screen at no cost which was so great. Kinda bummed because I called in prior for a quote & upon paying it was a different price. But.. overall, I don't regret coming here. My phone feels like a brand new phone. Thanks guys! read more

Amazing! I came in for a cracked Screen - Jason was polite and good at what he did - I do not really care for Ala Moana but I called to inquire and he was soooo helpful over the phone that I went . Any phone troubles I have in the future I would 100% return to him. I have already told my friends and clients about this place - DONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE - He made me want to up my own custom service game - the owner of this establishment is lucky to have such an amazing employee!! Thanks for the fix on my Apple 8 with the orange paisley case!! read more

The batteries aren't new. One was refurbished and the other is dead (cannot charge beyond 16%). I was told the batteries are new. The battery before was bad due to TCA Wireless putting in a bad battery. I needed to get the phone working asap. I was contacted by the owner of TCA wireless almost immediately after I put up a review for them earlier. He offered to come to the store after business hour to personally resolve the issues I have with their service. I don't think I will be coming back. read more

These guys are amazing! The Apple Store screwed me over big time. I went there to get my battery replaced, and in the process they made it so that my screen no longer worked. They said I had to trash the phone and get a new one and that all my data would be lost. I took it to Tech Armor and they were like yeah of course we can get the screen working again. Sure enough, they did so in the time they said it would take and for the price I was quoted. Completely the opposite of the Apple Store, at Tech Armor I felt that I was treated with the utmost respect by professionals seeking to satisfy their customer. In the future, I will use them for all my phone issues and not even bother with the Apple Store. read more

I love the iPhone cover I purchased from this shop! They have a good range of selections. I chose the wooden cover with the Hawaiian design on it. The owner of this shop is very nice and professionally installed the screen as well. Excellent service and good price. Highly recommended. read more

I am not the type of person who gives a rating under than 4 stars. Don't get me wrong, these guys are super smart at fixing technologies! Today, I was having an issue with my iPhone. I messaged them earlier today on Yelp. They answered pretty quick and the price they quoted was GREAT! I've been here a few times and they do a Great Job! But today's issue was different. It had nothing to do with the phone. I was told today( May 31 2020) Sunday, that it opens at 10AM. I live right across the street of Ala Moana so I can easily get there by foot. I got there around 10:35ish but they weren't open :( . Then, I looked up here on yelp and it says 11AM on Sunday. I decided to wait a little bit after 11 but I didn't see anybody. There definitely must have been a communication error and I would like to give them another chance because I always receive great customer service. Last year, they fixed my iPhone that got dropped into water and I can't thank them more than enough. That's why I gave them 3 stars but I have a good feeling it will get better in the future! Best luck Edit: on May 31 2020 about 11:40 AM The fact the manager was very professional about responding to my review and was very quick about it was very pleasant! I understand things do happen and I want to say thank you again for looking out and I do look forward seeing you guys soon! Thank you! read more

Had a full body Bodyguardz kit installed on my HTC Evo on 9/6/2010. The guy who installed it was a guy named Matan (or something like that) but the owner was also there. I inquired with the owner if the kit included the same warranty as advertised on the Bodyguardz website (which is lifetime replacements). He essentially said no because when I purchase the kit from them I'm really getting the kit for free and am only paying for the installation. They do, however, guarantee the installation. Installation of the full kit was $30 and if the case actually scratches after 30 days they'll install a new one for $6. I've installed a Zagg InvisibleShield before and didn't want to go through the hassle so I figure it would be worth it to let them install it. I came back in 20 minutes and the install guy said the phone was done and gave it to me. He actually forgot to put on the side protectors and the kickstand protector. When I mentioned this he said "oh" and got back to work on it. When he was done the work was pretty good. I actually anticipated bringing back an iPhone4 and an iPod to get it covered. So far, they weren't that bad. But here's where this company irritated the crap out of me. I found out that there was a defect with my Evo. I had the option of replacing it (since I'm still within my 30 return period) or trying to have Sprint repair it. I would have preferred a new phone since, usually, if an electronic product has one issue there are others. However, if I got a new phone I would lose my new case. I called Tech Armor to see if there was anything they could do since I just installed the kit the day before. I got my installer on the phone and told him the situation. He said just make sure to take off the plastic covering and bring it in and he'll cover my new phone. I thought, "Wow" these guys really know how to take care of their customer." So I drove to Radio Shack to get a replacement. They said they were out so they placed an order for me but it wouldn't be here for 3-5 days. I wanted to make sure this was ok so I decided to stop by Tech Armor. Saw the guy who installed the kit on my phone and I told him I would have the other phone within 3-5 days and just wanted to make sure that would be ok. He said he'll do the install and waive the installation fee which is about $6 so I'd have pay $24 for the additional install. First off, the owner told me the day before that the entire $30 charge was the installation charge and the plastic was technically free. I reminded him that he told me he would take care of it on the phone and that there would be no charge. He started acting like he was having some kind of dilemma and thinking and said "ok, I'll give you 50% off." I then said no thanks and walked off. I had no problem with the job these guys did and I wouldn't have a problem if they told me that they couldn't do a second install free of charge. I do have a problem that they told me they'd take care of it, I ordered the phone from Radio Shack, drove all the way back to their kiosk, only for them to tell me that they're going to charge me now. I also don't appreciate the owner telling me that $30 is the install charge and the installer telling me it's $6 and he'll give me that off as a discount. I haven't had the case long enough to see if the bubbles or haze went away so I can't comment on the full quality of the install, although someone commented that it didn't. These guys are full of it and I'll just install kits on my other devices myself. It is time consuming to install the kit myself but I'd rather deal with that then people who don't follow through with their word. They would have had at least 3 other jobs from me and I would have my friends go see them, but now...no thanks. read more

Broken iPhone keeping you from Yelping? Here's my story... 3-weeks ago, I went surfing with my Iphone...it is hopefully at the bottom of Courts now! Lucky for me, my friend had an old 3g laying around, and I was up and yelping a few hours later. On friday, I dropped the phone, and the screen went black. Calls came in...Alarm still went off at 4:30 AM...I was helpless as the screen was dead! Yesterday, I finally found time to head to the Apple Store in Ala Moana. Between making an appointment, waiting for the appointment, waiting for them to "check" the connections to the LCD screen, and telling me that I had to buy a new phone...3 hours wasted!!!! I went home, Googled "honolulu iphone repairs" and came up with Tech Armor. It was a bit hard to find at Ala Moana Mall as the mall does not list kiosks on their map. Then I remember the photo from the internet having a surfboard in the background. Ah-ha...It's located right in front of the HIC surf shop. 5 minutes later, they had replaced my LCD screen and my Ipod was working again! If your Iphone is past the 90 day warranty period, don't even bother going to the Apple Store. Call these guys! read more

So I dropped my phone while running the marathon. I pulled out my phone to take a photo and it slipped out of my hands onto the pavement. It busted immediately. I could still use it to text, but couldn't make calls. The tech guys here are honest and fair. If you need your iphone repair go check out these guys first. They provide great customer service. I would HIGHLY recommend if you need repair to your phone or want to customize it. The clear coat the install also is a life saver from scratches. read more

I came in to Tech Armor (TA) today and brought with me a non-operating camera on my iPhone 4; the back camera couldn't actuate from any camera app. I first brought it to the Apple Store at Ala Moana and the Apple technicians couldn't figure out what was wrong but since I was out of warranty, it would have meant $149 replacement with a refurbished model. I was a bit aggravated with this and found TA just around the corner so I asked them to look at it. So within half an hour, they replaced the camera and tested it out. No more shutter issues and it only cost me $40 to replace. I'd definitely have them look at my phone the next time it has issues; highly recommended! read more

They are the worst! Also you are mistaken there were no chips on screen, and when I took it to Apple they said that their screens never do what yours did and the warranty was voided by having it touched by Tech Armor. They knew just by looking at it that it was a low quality plastic screen by a kiosk in the mall. Thanks a lot for costing me so much and not doing anything about it. read more

On July 14, I called and immediately went down to get help with a jammed sim card. These guys are brilliant, attentive, accommodating, speedy, accurate, and BEST OF ALL, with such high level service and personality that you honestly will not find very often anywhere. Need help? Call them. Guaranteed they'll remember you called and exactly why you called... .yes.....4 hrs later when you walk up and describe that you had called earlier that day about help with a........Stop! No need to finish. They'll immediately identify why you called and take from there. No appointment, no name given and no description of your problem! Amazing! So you think.... could I have been the only person that called that morning.... but then you see several people being serviced at once and a phone ringing constantly during my initial service. Now amazing just became...huh?.....gotta be Psychic! Given a quote, a time...... mine was 1 hour. Thinking, seriously? Two guys, 5 people in front of me when I first arrived, phones ringing, retail accessories being sold.....I doubt it. Well I'm here to say, don't doubt it. I returned 55 minutes later, thinking I'd just wait until they were done. Two people being helped so I just quietly sat down next to kiosk to wait until they finished current customers. A minute passes by, one customer just finishes paying, I begin to get up to be sure I'm taken in order, and my Service Rep. must have had 360° vision, approaching me with my phone, my bill, my broken sim card, and service completed. Amazing! They offer h20 wireless, with AT&T patent. They could have started a sales pitch. Nada! I asked him once I had paid my bill. Unlimited everything....$50/mo......$45 with an online automatic payment set up! I took it. The sad thing is I forgot these two guys' names. Damn. But they are the best of the best. They are precise and accurate, and they don't have to pretend that they care! They actually do! Need help, go there. You'll see what I mean. Difficult to explain such beautiful service with empathy and genuineness unless you experience it yourself. read more

My iphone had gotten water damage in the morning, and after leaving it in a bag of rice for several hours, and googling "how to fix an iphone 5 that's been wet" I found Tech Armor and rushed down to the kiosk to get my phone fixed. Josh and Matan were extremely knowledgable and helpful in advising me on what could and couldn't be done, and what my options were. They were able to get a backup of my water-logged phone so that I could get all my documents and information onto the new phone I decided to purchase. Seriously, amazing! All in 20 minutes! (the backup took longer because I had a lot of information on my phone). Best of all, they were able to fix the water-damaged phone! Amazeballs! I've had other phones damaged by water and apple couldn't even fix it. Their pricing is definitely better than apple's, and they are much faster than the genius bar. Highly recommended if you have anything out of warranty that's broken these are the guys to see. Oh, it's a little confusing where they are located. Ala Moana ground floor, right in front of HIC by the post office. read more

Awesome place..."Tech Armor"! Thank you so much, Jordon....and Landon too. My husband got a free iPad from his sister. The only thing was the screen was shattered and she said, he could have it if he got it fixed so he thought what a deal. We did not know where to take it to be fixed, but it just so happened, we were in AT&T talking to our salesrep, Luke and asked if he knew of anywhere to get an ipad repaired and he highly recommended Jordon at the Ala Moana kiosk. The ipad was repaired and it looks and works just like new!!! Thank you so much for for all your help. read more

Being that I shattered my phone, I thought I was clever to purchase my own LCD replacement kit. My attempt to fix the screen myself was an epic fail. They were so nice and hooked me up. I highly recommend this place to others. You won't leave disappointed. Thanks Tech Armor. You're the best!!! :) read more

Coincidentally took my iPhone case off because I was trying to be cool like the young kids, and I dropped it and cracked the screen. The guy at tech armor fixed it up like new. Took like 30 mins, but it cost like $120. That's sort of pricey, but I guess t beats buying a new phone. Whatever. We got a great deal on fixing my boyfriend's brand new Nexus One. He broke it after 2 weeks when I bought it. I'm so glad I found them on craigslist. They were so helpful and knowledgeable on what was broken on the phone, and they wanted to give us the best price possible without us having to send the phone back to google who told us that they would have to have a credit card number on hold, and they quoted us the price of 200-400 dollars so basically telling us to buy a new phone. The only downside was it took like 3 weeks to get it done, but the customer service was great! Thank you Tech Armor! read more

When i called the guy rob told me sure bring it in I can probably fix it! better response than the dumb apple guy! well I took it in and he said it was probably a battery issue, fixed it and didn't charge me for installation after I told him what a day I had at the apple store. it immediately worked like new after and he was really good with the phone. Cracked my iphone 5S screen and immediately began researching repair shops on Yelp. It was going to be between Tech Armor and Gadget Guyz but I decided to give Tech Armor a shot (the Yelp reviews on GG seemed to suggest attitude issues). I called to make sure they had the replacement part prior to going, which they did. Got to the kiosk a little bit before 10:30 am. Gave the phone to the employee (didn't get his name) who quoted me the price and told me it would be about 30-40 minutes. He immediately started to work on the phone. I wandered around the mall for a bit until just about 10:50 am. When I got to the kiosk, he was already working on another phone and my screen was replaced and ready to go. Employee was friendly and easy going. Made sure my phone was working and told me there was a 90 day warranty. I will definitely be going back for phone repairs. read more

My husband is notorious for breaking his phones. Thank goodness for Tech Armor!! I brought his latest disaster (an iPhone that had seen one too many drops on the pavement) and handed it over to the gentleman working the booth. He told me it was most likely just the screen that was broken, and said he would check it out for me and if it was the screen only, he could fix it for about $100. I pointed out that if it wasn't just the screen, I didn't really want to pay $100 for a useless phone and he explained that they offer free diagnostics before starting any work, so if the phone had more problems than the screen they wouldn't charge me for anything unless I approved it. The whole process only took about an hour - which is awesome because that meant an hour of shopping time for me! I couldn't believe how easy it was. I've had some extremely negative experiences with tech repairs but this was fast and painless. The guy even threw in a free iPhone case at the end since my husband's was so damaged. I was on my way to Nordstroms and just happened to notice the "iphone repair" sign so I stopped to ask about the camera on my iPhone. The young man there took my iPhone and asked what the problem was. Then he asked me a few questions to diagnose the problem. He quoted me on what it would cost and assured me if that didn't fix it, there would be no charge. Sounded reasonable to me. The Apple store's attitude is "Could be this and it will cost $, but no guarantee that will fix it". Heck what good is that! Justin had to go to their other location to get a part and graciously locked up his cart to go get it. I ran into Nordstrom to get what I needed and when I returned, he was back and ready to fix my phone! He was so nice, neat and patient, and handled other customers at the same time. I've been here on several occasions in the past. Previously-- it was to unlock a AT&T iPhone 3GS.. Then I brought that same phone back to change the battery later down the road when the stock battery went bad. Today, I went there because I got a coupon in my eMail for buying one tempered glass protector (iPhone 6 any model) and get one FREE. Well I messed up the installation of the screen protector that came with the case (it was bad) and decided that I'd get it professionally done by people I've come to trust in the past.. Leading me to Tech Armor. As usual-- the wait time was quick and the quality of the service was awesome. These guys do such a great job with devices, its obvious that the negative reviews are fake. I had my iPhone 6 Plus done and then a iPhone 6.. All in under 10 minutes. I convinced my brother inlaw to get his S5 done too since he was there and after seeing how my phone looked, he agreed. All and all, each time I've come here I left happy. Whether it's the quality work they do, or with how honest and personable they are.. Can't go wrong. Thanks for the help, you guys are awesome! Really fast and quality service! I came with my iPhone 6 which had a screen that would not respond to my touch. The Apple Store gave me a quote of $150 and a 7-day period to replace it. When I went to Tech Armor at Ala Moana, the guy was already working on someone else's phone but immediately inquired about my problem. Would definitely recommend and go there again! :) read more

My iPhone 7Plus was run over by a car recently. It was protected by a case and a screen protector, but the cover over the rear camera was cracked. You'd really think there'd be more damage, but I guess I got lucky. I checked a couple repair places around town and they all said they couldn't do it - either they didn't have the part or "it can't be done." Last night I was at Ala Moana and checked the Tech Armor kiosk. Not only did they have the part, they said they could do it quick. No lie! It was a perfect repair in exactly the amount of time they said it would take. Not only that, I was treated very, very well and it was clear that my business was appreciated. I hope I don't have to have any more repairs, but I definitely know where to go! Mahalo guys! read more
