UPDATE -- This business is under new management. I feel that the quality of the space is still limited compared to other studios, but the customer service drastically improved. The new owner teaches in the studio [and has been there for ages] and I see her there all the time now. It's been a very refreshing change and I feel really positive that this studio will continue to improve under her guidance. (I have changed my rating to reflect the improved support the new owner demonstrates.) --------- COMMUNITY: (+) I have been attending this studio for over 3 years. I have absolutely loved the company of the other women there and the incredible instruction from some highly talented teachers. Everyone is very warm and supportive and loves to help each other learn. But... VALUE/SERVICE: (-) I bought unlimited access to the studio, at the Black Friday sale, and it was NOT what was advertised. It was stated I'd be saving compared to month-to-month members; however, less than a month later, rates for those members were dropped by 20%. Additionally, the studio was decreased in size by half! I contacted the owner to ask for a partial-refund and was offered and extra month instead. (I'm unhappy and not planning on renewing, so why would I want that? However, this was never credited to my account as she indicated it would be... so even if I had wanted it, I never got it.) I was left feeling like she didn't listen to my concerns and that she wasn't entirely aware of the quality of her studio compared to her competitors. Additionally, there were times when I had to leave reminders with the receptionists and contact her via Facebook so she'd check her email; sometimes it was over 2 weeks before I got a response. You can see from other reviews, I'm not the only one to have had issues with response time. QUALITY: (-) With the reduction in space, classes are over-crowded and overheat quickly. It also feels poorly lit and poorly maintained compared to what it once was. The current layout is not ideal for dance classes [poles are everywhere], but the ceiling height is not ideal for pole classes [ceiling has some extra low areas]. If you are a tall individual like I am [5'9"], your are at risk of kicking things. Parts of the ceiling, people, and some crowded by nearby objects like chairs and benches. Long story, short? I've been going here for about six months now, but the sense of community here is horrible and has died down since I started coming here. I enjoy that there is such a wide range of classes, but the instructors change so frequently that once you fall in love with a class/instructor it's probably only a matter of time before they are taken off. That and the owner of this studio can be incredibly rude too... It's really hard to tell if she cares about her clients or just their money because she treats some with favoritism and the rest with skepticism and a on/off attitude, but is always more than happy to try and sell you some sort of membership. This studio is so welcoming, clean, and full of the nicest people! No matter what classes you take, the instructors are knowledgable and really care about you. It can get a little pricey, but they have so many different packages and deals, it's easy to find the right one for your wallet. Also, there are tons of classes at various times so it's really easy to fit them into my busy schedule. read more

I've never enjoyed working out in a regular gym atmosphere and was looking for a good workout... I've always enjoyed dancing, but when you get to my age regular dance studios just don't seem to fit anymore with all the little kiddies running around. So I was extremely excited to find a ladies only 18+ dance studio that centers around female empowerment and beauty in strength. I take so many different classes and get such an incredible workout from each one. You feel encouraged, empowered and beautiful every time you go in because of the amazing instructors and staff. Having taken multiple classes offered here, I can officially say that I am hooked on Tease Studio! The friendly and inviting atmosphere of the studio makes you feel comfortable and at ease in case you are nervous about trying something new. Also the front desk staff is always fun, polite and willing to help however they can, and the instructors are second to none! No matter what class you take, they are always energetic and excited to help you learn whatever is being taught. And in no way are the classes ever cookie-cutter style classes; each session is unique and often times allows you interact with the teacher and the other students to learn new techniques, tips and tricks. Every time I go there I really enjoy myself and get an amazing workout! I am a big fan of the TEAM EZ Heat workout class taught by Ms. EZ, and Pi Duvall's Hip-Hop Honeys classes. Both ladies are very knowledgeable and super personable in their teaching styles; they really know how to balance a challenging workout with fun dance choreography so that you are sore the next day! I won't return to Tease, it's over-priced, and the staff didn't treat me well. I signed up for classes consistently for a couple of months. During my last experience there, the staff member working the front desk wouldn't allow for me to join the class I arrived to because my punchcard expired the same day even though I had 2 punches left! There were only a couple of people in the class so it wasn't because the class was over-crowded. The staff member helping me made a scene which was quite embarassing. I wasn't argumentative, I took my leave and haven't returned since. A couple of the instructors were very good but several of them weren't personable or friendly. Tease Studio is the best pole/dance studio in Denver(in my opinion)! I've been taking classes there for 4 years and because of the classes I take I am in the best shape of my life. I started taking classes looking for a new way to workout besides the gym. I was looking for something fun to motivate me. The teachers and other girls taking classes have become my friends and there is a sense of community and support from those around you. I've become more comfortable with the fact that I am sexy and I have strength, flexibility, and pole tricks that add to an already pretty good self esteem. The feeling of accomplishment of finally "getting a pole trick" that requires strength and art that you have been working on for a month all in a supportive -fun-hip- environment is a good feeling. I was invited by a friend to "give Tease a try." As a woman who is 50 plus I was apprehensive but was accepted the moment I walked in. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun; classes are taught with patience and to each persons capability. I enjoyed every moment of my class and visit. All levels of skill were welcomed and the others in the class who had danced for awhile were eager to help me and make me feel comfortable. By the end I was spinning and having a great time. I love this place! A great place to get a little exercise with your best girlfriends. The staff makes you feel sexy and confident even when you don't have an ounce of sexy in you. A great upper body workout. Each instructor is very different and it's nice to change it up. Personally I love Becca she's full of spunk and a great teacher who will really kick your butt! The best word that sums up this place is FUN. I've tried both pole classes and fitness classes. Becca's classes are amazing and tough. The other teachers that I've had have been good but not as ass kicking as Becca. Her classes are the toughest but in a good way. After her clas you will be exhausted but happy. Thanks to her I think I may actually get abs soon. The pole classes are fun but be warned that they take a lot of upper body strength. When I first started, I had no idea how much strength you needed. But it's a great way to get your sexy back. Yes, I know that sounds corny. But it's perfect, especially after a divorce. read more

I went here with a group of girlfriends and had an absolutely HORRIBLE experience with one of the instructors named Virginia. I thought this was going to be a fun time out- something new and spontaneous that I'd never done before- but Virginia made it less than enjoyable. She was impatient and over-the-top rude. There was about a 15 minute segment in the class when she mght as well not even been there because we were teaching ourselves and each other while she stood on her phone text messaging. I haven't experienced bad service like this in a very long time. I have nothing against the studio or its management because I think it's a neat idea to have something like this for women but I just hope that every other instructor is not like the instructor we were stuck with. I don't like to complain and I typically let a lot of things go but in this instance, it was that bad. I can say that I will not be back to Tease Studio. read more

Tease is so much fun! I loved the new skills I learned in pole and lyra classes. The instructors here are really warm and welcoming, and I haven't had a bad one yet. I love the vibe you get from the people, like everyone is really glad to be there. My biggest complaint is that none of the classes I've taken have been very difficult workouts. I haven't been sore, or very challenged, in any of them. In intro pole classes, the skills are hard to learn but you don't get that sweaty or tired by the end of class. But I'm glad I bought the Groupon to come here because it's been a lot of fun to meet people, dance, and feel sexy! read more

I started going to this studio in 2009. I used to love it!! Before it gotten popular abd overcrowded. My original goal was to become a semi-pro fitness pole dancer, and Tease studio would have been my training spot. Unfortunately, I have no desire to continue with Tease. Cons: 1) More than half of class time is spent of warmup. Yes, warmup is important, but some instructors incorporate hard cardio into their warmups that it barely leaves me any strenght to climb a pole. You are on a pole 15 mins at the most, including the free dance. 2) Usually classes end with free dance. It is very intimidating to dance in front of others. Plus you are so weak from the warmup. Since the warmup is too long, I usually spent this time practicing new moves I learned. 3) Instructors do not seem to possess any physical training education. The website states that instructors go trhough extensive training, but I think it means that as soon as they are able to do all the advanced moves on a pole, it qualifies for them to start teaching. Many times I've hurt myself during warmups. 4) The new location in Golden Triangle has very rude receptionists. Last time receptionist didnt even aknowledge me for a while because she was busy chatting with her girlfriend. 5) Cancellation policy is brutal. One time I injured myself a day before I had a class at Tease, and I called to cancel and they would not let me since I called less than 12 hours ahead of class. They charge you full price if you do that. 6) The dance studio at new location is too small. The class is always overcrowded, and not enough wall space. Instructor always incorporates excersises on the wall. It feels like sardines in a can. 7) In pole classes, girls always trying to show off and practice more advanced moves than taught. It's very annoying. Pros: 1) The owner is really great - every time I brought up concerns to her attention, the next class they were fixed. 2) The pricing is great in comparison to other pole dancing studios. I love the punch card that gives you good savings and never expires. Genius! 3) Tease constantly organizes student performances. This is a great motivator to practice and to show off your skills. They just moved to a new location. It is absolutely beautiful inside, it is at least double the space of the old location, and it seems like they've really stepped it up a notch. The inside is a girls paradise, with the dark purple walls, new floors, and photos of clients, and staff from showcases all throughout the studio. There are chandeliers hung up in the lounge areas, showers and locker room! AND they also offer spray tans! I'm really looking forward to trying that out. Along with all the great amenities there staff, is super up beat, helpful, and really encouraging. I love the new space and I can't wait to try all the new classes that are now running. I recently tried this studio for the first time and have taken several different classes. Everything about the actual workout was great~the classes are fun, unique and high energy. However, the overall experience was very disappointing. The instructors are very hit or miss~some are super helpful and others are anything but welcoming. In particular I was floored that the studio owner has SIXTEEN poster size sexy photos of her and one other instructor covering the walls of the studio. The photos were beautiful and so are both of the women in them, but the vanity is VERY off putting. I understand it is her studio but if I am PAYING to workout in a space, I dont want to look at her sexy/self absorbed photos on every wall. I mean SIXTEEN!?? Really?! How about photos of all the instructors? Or photos of students?? The mission statement of this studio is to empower women of all body types to feel sexy and confident. How does a studio filled with only photos of 2 people (both of which have near perfect bodies) encourage women with different body types to feel confident?? What a contradiction. I am a size 2, 26 inch waist and it even bothered me! If you are looking for a good workout, hit up tease studio. If you are looking for something more and desire to not support someone so self absorbed, seek out something else. read more
